If Clarice Morgan's past isn't haunting her, she probably wouldn't be pleading with Tristan Penn to stay with her. Her biggest fear is losing someone she cares about. She's already lost one forever, leaving behind a mountain of memories. So, when she meets and falls in love with Tristan, she wants him to stay with her because he gives her the ability to see into the future. Unfortunately, Clarice's wishes do not always match her current circumstances. In the middle of the time, she meets Joel Archer's older brother, Joshua Rich Archer, the Billionaire who has everything in his hands. He shows up with a confession he has kept to himself for years; he admits to Clarice, much to her surprise, that he likes her and would like to propose marriage to her. It's an offer she can't refuse; she must accept it even though she doesn't love Joshua, which means she must leave Tristan.

Then ... the accident happened.
Clarice ran and lifted Joel's body in her lap. Blood was everywhere, including on her hands and clothes. Joel looked up at her with wide eyes, a body in pain, and a hand that reached up to wipe Clarice's cheek but failed.
"No, please! You have to hold on!" she said, crying with a sense of panic. "Someone call an ambulance!" Clarice shouted.
Many pedestrians surrounded her. Many of them were buzzing by themselves until the sound of the ambulance finally arrived. Joel's body was brought inside and Clarice went along to keep her boyfriend company.
"I'm sorry, I was wrong!" said Clarice. She held Joel's hand so tightly. "You have to hold on. Don't leave me!"
Nothing came out of Joel's lips. He tried to speak, but he couldn't get the words out. Clarice continued to cry in front of him, making him feel guilty in his heart. His woman was crying because of him, but he was also relieved that she could live because of him.
When they arrived at the hospital, Joel received prompt treatment. Clarice was not allowed in even though she rebelled against going in. She could only pause in front of the emergency room door, crying incessantly.
She wanted to contact Joel's family, but she was afraid that they would find out what had happened. Because she wasn't ready to be blamed by them at a time like this. But her mind was racing and she kept praying that Joel would be okay.
Clarice waited for a long time before the doctor treating Joel emerged. His face didn't look right and he had an apologetic expression on his face.
"We're sorry, Miss. We couldn't save him because too much blood came out, causing brain damage and bleeding as well as–"
Clarice was no longer listening to what the doctor was saying. She was busy focusing on the fact that the doctor couldn't save him, which meant that Joel ... died. She didn't want to hear any more explanations because to her it was useless.
She fell to the floor, so tight that her tears seemed to stop immediately. She had been crying for Joel just before his death. She didn't even make a sound, she just remained expressionless.
"Once again, we apologize, Miss. Our condolences. The body will begin to shift to the mortuary," was the last sentence Clarice heard.
This time Clarice finally cried. She cried silently. Her face looked flushed, not caring about the people who were watching her so pitifully. Clarice just needed an outlet to let out all her emotions over what had just happened to her.
She rose and entered before her boyfriend's body was moved. She stood still by his side and unfolded the cloth that covered his body up to his head. "So you decided to leave me, Joel?"
"I–" her throat tightened as she had to say something to him before the body was interred, "I'm sorry that I– you ... you're gone forever."
Clarice cried, hugging him. She felt the tremendous heartache of losing Joel forever. She had no idea that the man she had been with for the past five years would leave forever without leaving any words.
"Why didn't you leave anything for me, stupid?!" she asked, with a sob that she could hardly manage normally. "Please, wake up if you're not going to leave me."
But in fact, for several minutes until the body was to be moved, Joel showed no movement at all.

It was a painful reality that Clarice had to face even though she had not accepted it at all. She, for some reason, chose to hide when Joel was buried by his family and closest relatives. She was afraid and ashamed that Joel's family would abuse her and she wasn't ready for that.
Clarice stood far away, near the trees with sunglasses covering her eyes and an appearance that no one would recognize. She was like a disguised enemy, afraid of being discovered.
Her tears were gone, but her grief was still tragic. She even still hoped that Joel would rise from his chest. It may sound ridiculous, but it was what she wished for.
Nothing could ever replace her heartache. But she also didn't know how she should heal her wounds. Her eyes hurt from crying. But her heart was still aching from the unclosed wound.
"I don't think anything will make this wound heal, Joel," she said sadly.
"Who said that?"
Suddenly a male voice appeared behind her body. A tall man dressed in a black suit from head to toe. Clarice couldn't tell who he had been speaking to since he was wearing sunglasses as well.
"I'm talking to you, Miss," he said, then.
Clarice didn't turn around again. She kept her eyes on Joel's still-crowded grave. "I'm not in the mood to talk to anyone, including strangers," Clarice replied.
"I thought you needed comfort."
Clarice glanced over her glasses. She rolled her eyes and chose not to reply to the man she didn't know.
After seeing that everyone had finally left Joel's grave, Clarice decided to move toward it. However, the stranger's hand, which was still in her path, prevented her from doing so.
"Don't," he said, commandingly.
"What the hell are you doing?"
The man gestured toward the grave Clarice was about to visit. Clarice turned around and let out her breath. Apparently, some of her family had come to lay flowers for Joel.
"You'd better visit the grave tomorrow or in a few days. It'll be dangerous for you, considering you're even hiding from them," the man said.
Clarice didn't know if she should follow the stranger's words or not, but for some reason, the man beside her seemed to know a lot about such things.
Ashamed to admit it, Clarice remained silent, still watching Joel's grave which still had a few people since she thought it was deserted.
"If you don't mind, come with me for coffee," the man said, inviting her.
"I don't drink coffee."
"Then drink anything non-coffee, miss."
Clarice sighed heavily. She remembered Joel scolding her not to drink coffee because she had acid reflux. But now, as an outlet for her hurt, she wanted to break Joel's rule.
There's nothing wrong with drinking coffee, right?
Clarice turned her body around. "Who are you?"
The man took off his glasses, revealing the greenish color of his eyeballs. "I'm Tristan Penn, CEO of iBook."
Clarice cried after she heard the judge's decision that Joshua's sentence could not be commuted or even reduced. Because Joshua committed a murder that left two victims dead, Joshua was sentenced to life imprisonment.Clarice immediately left the courtroom and chose to take a deep breath of air outside. Her body shook with unceasing crying. Her chest felt so tight that she couldn't bear to see Joshua in person forever. Then Darren came and touched her shoulder. Clarice immediately turned around and looked at him. "What?" she asked."He's waiting for you. Meet him, I think he wants to have you at a time like this. He needs you, Clarice."Clarice almost refused. Yeah ... she wasn't in the mood to meet her husband for now, but what Darren said was true. She just needed to strengthen her heart more to face her husband.A big part of Clarice also blamed herself because if she hadn't told Joshua that she would be relieved if he confessed at the police station, then the life sentence wouldn't
A month without Joshua in her life still leaves Clarice struggling to cope with new days. She continued to visit the prison and even the phone calls from Joshua came every day. Clarice always considered her visits to the prison as a form of encouragement for her even if it only lasted for a few hours, because she was honestly never satisfied with that limited communication. Her relationship with Darren was also still going on as it should. Clarice continued to think of Darren as her mentor while Darren always secretly monitored Clarice's condition when she was away from him because he thought that was what Joshua wanted from Clarice; to be safe when she was away from him.Clarice finally managed to understand some of Joshua's work after a month of learning from Darren. She was glad that she understood so quickly that she didn't have to keep calling Darren or meeting him because all she wanted to do was get away from Darren.Joana had even started living at the Mansion as well so they
Darren put Clarice on his bed. He took off her high heels and covered her with a blanket. Sighing and massaging the bridge of his nose, he stared at Clarice for a few moments. He felt that this was the first time he would have a special relationship with his best friend's wife. All this time he had been with other women who were different and single of course. Then fate made him have to have business with Clarice. Joshua's offer was tantalizing, any man who saw Clarice would immediately want to agree to the offer. But his little heart said it was difficult."How can you share your wife with me just because you're in jail, Joshua?" he asked as he looked at Clarice who had fallen asleep due to drunkenness. "What if I fall for her, Joshua? Doesn't that make our friendship break?"This time Darren restrained himself. He rolled out the bed cover on his couch and picked up a pillow. He lay down on it and closed his eyes to sleep. The next morning Clarice woke up, opening her eyes slowly. S
Clarice drove her car to the prison where Joshua was. She had the desire to visit Joshua every day when she finished work or when she was free. Unfortunately, she didn't bring Axcel this time as she went straight to the place. She smiled to herself just thinking about seeing Joshua. She even tidied up her appearance and wanted to show off a little to Joshua that she was now a career woman. Even though Clarice was still upset with Joshua about the talk about Darren and her, she was still going to see him.Clarice waited in the meeting room with her body sitting up straight and her heart beating fast."Hey, gorgeous," greeted Joshua who Clarice had been missing for the past day.Clarice stood up and hugged him immediately. She even aggressively kissed him blindly, not caring about some of the other visitors.Joshua then pulled away realizing that Clarice's lust had peaked. "Hey, are you alright, Clarice?" Joshua asked. They ended up sitting together, side by side with Clarice's head on
"Alright, Clarice ... based on the expression on your face, I think Joshua told you about you and Darren things. Is that right? I mean, no offense because I was told by him too so as not to be surprised if something happens between you two," Joana said quickly in one breath.Clarice's eyes widened in shock. "He told you that too?! What the hell is he doing?! I got so upset when he said things like that to me. I mean ... How could he—"Clarice chose not to continue because she was honestly embarrassed and didn't know what to do. Just the thought of her being with her husband's best friend made her shudder with horror because it was tantamount to cheating on her."Look, Clarice ... I've been in the position of not being able to have sex a few times. So sometimes I choose to have one-night stands with other men on different nights. I mean, I just want to say that staying horny is not fun."Clarice sighed as she rolled her eyes. Her hands were clasped around her waist and she seemed to be
Accompanied by Joana and Darren, Clarice entered the police station and began to meet Joshua who was now wearing an orange suit which means he was now a prisoner. Clarice, Joana, and Darren stood tensely as they waited for Joshua to appear. Although there were chairs and tables, they were not interested in sitting down until they saw Joshua in person.Joshua arrived shortly after they had waited. Handcuffed and then released to meet his friends and family, the warden left him behind."Boss … I'm glad you okay," Joana said, sounding sad."Joshua, I'm going to try to get you out of here as soon as possible," Darren said without any reply. There was only Clarice who didn't say anything but remained silent with her body trembling and her eyes filled with tears.Joshua looked at her with a smile that was so strange to Clarice's eyes. Yeah ... they looked at each other but Clarice saw a different smile from him. A sad smile that Joshua had never shown in his life."No hugs for your now con
