Clarice stood on the balcony of her hotel room. She nervously twirled her wedding ring on her ring finger. She looked out at the night view of New York City from the balcony and wondered if she was pregnant. She wouldn't be ready to be a mother, because even as a wife, she honestly wasn't ready.
