"Wait, don't kick him out yet. I still have an unfinished business with him." Dexter intercepted his father's decision-making.

"What do you mean I shouldn't kick him out? Do you realize that I am doing this for you? You should be grateful to me, rather than acting this way," George sparked outrageously at Dexter.

"What have I done wrong to deserve this treatment from you? Why do you have to blame me on fucking time as though I am not your son? Did you get anything against me? Say it and stop beating around the bush." Dexter fired back at George with a hint of confusion. All he wanted to do was to ask questions that would satisfy his curiosity. He never knew he was getting himself in bigger trouble.

Seeing the heated argument between Dexter and George, Kelly beamed with a smile. He knew that it was just a matter of time before all the attention was being driven away from him. He was already making plans to sneak out without anyone's knowledge.

Pointing at Kelly, George Said. "This man right here. This man whom I thought was my friend, looked into my face and lied that you chose to abandon me at the hospital,"

"What the fuck did you just say?" Dexter exclaimed in the utmost shock. He acted like he wasn't even aware of that from the onset.

"Why would he do such a thing? I thought you two were best of friends. What changed now?" Dexter asked again. He knew for sure that asking more questions would make his Father make some certain revelation.

"That's not all.

Even when I wanted to call you over the phone, he stopped me. The nasty things he said to me made me start hating on you," George narrated with a heart filled with sorrow.

"This is quite strange," Dexter sighed.

"Why did you have to do that to me? Why do you hate me so much?" Dexter channeled his frustration at Kelly.

He paused and focused his attention on his father. "Are you aware that I passed the night at the hospital because I wanted to be certain about your health? Just this morning I wanted to come visit you In the ward, but your so-called friend stopped me,"

George stood up from the bed with the support of Doctor Escobar.

"Oh, no.

Please don't do anything stupid. I haven't lost a patient to death before. I wouldn't want you to be the first," Doctor Escobar pleaded in all sincerity.

Despite his concern for his patient, George was unbothered. All he cared about was pouring out his heart. That was the only time they got to have such a conversation.

"He did that to you? I'm surprised because he never told me," still in doubt, George spoke.

"Of course, he won't tell you. Were you expecting him to tell you about it? Come on, you know that's not possible," Dexter giggled.

"Oh, you shut them up! He who lives in the glass house doesn't throw stones. But guess what? You've thrown more bricks already," Kelly spoke yet again.

Everyone turned their focus on him including the doctor.

It was uncertain to whom his shades were directed. He said it without looking at anyone.

"Who are you talking to?"

Dexter volunteered himself to ask. He was the last person to speak. For that reason, he had a feeling that he was the target although Kelly never mentioned anyone's name.

"Who else If not you?

You act like you are perfect when you reek of flaws." Kelly stated. He was prepared to wage a war against Dexter. He also saw this as the perfect time for a comeback.

"You out of your mind and I can see that. I should have let my Father kick you out when he wanted." Dexter fumed. This time, he kicked Kelly out himself after realizing the mistake he made the first time. He was determined to right all his wrongs.

"There's no way I am leaving this place without setting the record straight. There's something your Father needs to know, and I bet you haven't told him yet," Kelly disclosed. He wasn't even making plans about leaving anytime soon.

His comeback caught the attention of George. He has been quiet to observe these two arguing, likely kids.

"Now this is getting messier.

What truth is Kelly talking about? Are you two hiding anything from me? Do you feel I should know anything?" Asked, George. He couldn't resist the urge to ask.

"Dad, it doesn't matter. He should leave. You already wanted him to leave. Why stop him now?" Dexter cried. He knew his secret was about to be exposed, and he wouldn't want that to happen. Not after George has taken his sides in recent times.

"Dad, I am serious.

Don't listen to Kelly.

He has got nothing important to say.

He is just bluffing. Can't you see he's just bluffing?" Dexter begged. He explained further. Not even Dexter's explanation was enough to convince George otherwise or influence his decision-making.

"You just heard from your son.

He asked me to leave.

That, I will gladly do," Kelly said while making a move to leave the ward.

"If you dare walk out of that door, you are going to see the worst of me. Try that and see," George warned Kelly as the heated moment ensued.

"Wow!

I guess we're getting seated again,"

Kelly scoffed. He was loving the dramatic moment.

"Now start talking immediately.

I don't want to remind you again,"

George told Kelly.

"Your son was here last night. Did you see him?" Kelly divulged. He paused to let George understand better.

"My son?

Which of my sons are you talking about? Is it Dexter? What's his name? Where did you meet him?" Out of curiosity, George unleashed a thousand questions at Kelly, leaving him confused about how to respond.

While Dexter sweated under the air conditioner, Kelly smiled, reaching toward his ears. He was excited that his plans were finally working for his good.

"What are you scared of? I don't bite. Come on, take the envelope from me and stop acting like a baby already. An officer like you shouldn't be fidgeting. Have you forgotten what I told you about being courageous? You never can tell, it might be your letter of promotion," Lucas said. Romeo saw that as a trick and refused to fall for it. Without hesitation, he went on his knees immediately and pleaded for Lucas forgiveness. "I am sorry for the things I did to you. None of them were intentional. I've learned my lessons now. Please, I don't want to end up like Tony. I deserve a second chance,"The dismissal of Tony still lives rent-free in Romeo's head like a movie. He wouldn't want his situation to be like that. "You don't want to end up like Tony, right? That's quite ambitious if you ask me," Lucas scoffed."I don't know what you are talking about. I can't recall what happened to Tony. Can you please remind me?" "You dismissed him because of Dexter Cooper, sir. Not just that, he als

"He needs to reach out to his Father. His Father is not even aware that he's been arrested," Romeo pleaded. He was ready to scrub both knees on the tiled floor just to prove how serious he was. "Now this is getting more serious than I expected. How much did Dexter pay you to do this for him? Because I mean, you can't go this for a total stranger you know nothing about," Rhoda confronted Romeo with the disturbing question."Excuse me?" Romeo fumed. "What do you take me for? Do you think I'm one of those hungry-looking cops out there who would sell their dignity for money?" "Perhaps, she might be right. No one knows the reason you are doing this," A masculine voice interrupted them from close range. The voice sounded like Lucas. Where Romeo was, he prayed silently and wished it wasn't Lucas. Lucas, so far, has proved to be Romeo's greatest fear ever. He wasn't even confident enough to look into Lucas' eyes and speak to him directly, let alone confront him. "Good evening, Boss. You ar

  • Married To My Enemy; Loved By His Brother   The Dialogue

"I am listening to you Romeo. Since you got here, you haven't said anything worthy of my attention. I just hope I am not wasting my time with you? Because I was doing something significant before you showed up," Rhoda raised the concern. What Rhoda was concerned about was Romeo's lack of confidence. She didn't know him to be this shaky to the extent where he could barely speak fluently to save his life."Of course not. I assure you, you're not gonna regret having this conversation with me, and I am not even kidding," Romeo created the assurance. He paused afterward. Rhoda signaled him to speak further, but he missed the sign. Romeo made it seem like that both placed a bet on the last person to hold his breath for too long."What the fuck do you think you are doing? You've been quiet for some time now. I should have known that you were just wasting my time. What exactly do you want me to do for you? And I do hope it's something I can handle?" Rhoda asked for clarification. Romeo's a

Dexter struggled to keep up with Romeo's tempo. At the same time, he struggled to breathe properly. He hasn't seen anything like that before. The taunting from Romeo got into Dexter's head. But what was he going to do about it? Absolutely nothing! He was willing to endure the present struggle and hope for a better tomorrow. Dexter was quite aware of his numerous tortures in the hands of Jaguar and would rather not go back to that phase anymore. No one has ever inflicted so much pain on Dexter before since he was born. Not even his beloved Father or late mother.Jaguar treated Dexter as though Dexter were his biological son. It was an ugly experience for Dexter. He would give up an arm to forget about it. "Take a look at these bunch of keys. What do they mean to you? Do they ring a bell to you, or do you want me to spell it out so you would understand perfectly well what I am talking about?" Romeo asked, flashing the keys to the cell across Dexter's face. "They're the keys to y

"Welcome to your new cell, Dexter Cooper. I hope you do like it here. What the heck am I saying? Surely, are going to love it. I mean, it's surely better than your Father's palatial mansion, isn't it?" Romeo teased Dexter with a burst of wicked laughter after they arrived at a new cell. Looking at it alone, Dexter hated it. He chose not to say a word about it to avoid getting on Romeo's nerves. . It turns out that the former cell was more attractive and conducive than the new one Romeo brought Dexter to. The only difference there was Jaguar and his boys that made life a living hell for Dexter. Dexter spent lots of time scrutinizing in his new home. He was filled with regret and wished he hadn't wished for a transfer. But the thought of being beaten to death by Jaguar still scares him to death. "What are you going to say about this? You are taking too much time on something that isn't even worth that stress, and I don't like it. Are we going to spend the entire day talking about

Someone should please wake me up from the illusion before I go insane," Romeo said, slapping his chin to be certain he wasn't imagining things that aren't real. He still wasn't convinced about his decision yet. If Romeo was made to decide immediately without thinking about it, he would chose to walk away from the case just like every other cops. Not for once did Romeo liked Dexter. These two has got a lot of history together. Thinking about the nastiest things that Dexter had done in the past is making Romeo have a second guess. I don't wanna die," Dexter pleaded as hot tears rolled down his eyes. "You wanna be transferred to another cell? Now I see why you're being dealt with. What have you been
