"What am I going to do about this now? My Father won't let me leave. He's not even treating me like this daughter anymore. What have I done for him to deserve this?" Bewildered, Ciara questioned herself. She sought a solution but couldn't get one.
She was desperate to go get the keys from Kelly certainly. After seeing that little display by Kelly, Ciara was forced to retract.
"He's just going to beat me to a pulp for the first time, and it's going to be one crazy hell of an experience," Ciara thought.
In the process of finding a way out, Ciara thought of something new. She quickly recalled how Walters was able to escape through the back door without Kelly knowing about it.
"Yes, the back door.
That's precisely what I am going to use.
Why didn't I think about this before?
My Dad won't even notice anything. Let's see who's smarter now,"
She giggled and praised herself for coming up with a solution almost immediately when it felt like all hope was lost.
Ciara wasn't even bothered if her father was going to get mad at her for disobeying him. All that mattered to her was leaving the house. She knew for sure that Kelly would never raise his hands to hit her, regardless of how heated the situation got.
Majestically, Ciara sneaked inside her room like a criminal about to steal from a gold store.
No sound of footsteps were heard. It would be difficult to believe that someone just walked past the living room.
As Ciara got to her room, she carefully went through the same back door that Walters had used the previous night to escape from her Father. She was hoping that it was gonna work out in her favor the same way it did for her Walters.
Ciara felt a bit scared at first, despite how safe she was. It was her first time sneaking out of the house in such a manner, hence the tension that took over her soul.
Ciara sweated profusely due to how hot the road to the back door was. It was also dark because no one ever used that route to leave the house.
Ciara had even forgotten that a route like that existed in the house until Walters used it the previous night.
Ciara was already imagining the stress of Walters trying to escape using the back door.
On Ciara's final route to escape, she heard a knock on the door, forcing her to a halt. The sound of the knock made her somewhat uncomfortable.
At first, Ciara ignored the knock coming from her room because she didn't expect her Father to show up in her room after everything that happened between them over the past few minutes.
A few minutes later, the knock came again; this time, it was accompanied by a voice from Kelly.
"Please open the door. I am sorry for what happened. You can have the keys now. I've realized my mistake that I hurt you, and I am ready to make amends again," Kelly pleaded forgiveness wholeheartedly. His voice was so loud that Ciara heard it from where she was.
The apology from Kelly was strange in the ears of Ciara.
It also made her rather uncertain about her decision-making policy. It was hard for her to tell if Kelly meant what he said or if he was playing a fast one on her.
After thinking it through, Ciara decided that it was best for her to leave. "I can't stay back and let him continue fooling me. It's time for me to leave. When I return, we will discuss the apology,'
Ciara was willing to give her father a chance, but her mind wasn't. There was a part of her that felt like Kelly was lying.
The moment Ciara stepped out of the neighborhood, she felt relieved. She felt as though she just escaped from the kidnapper's Den.
"I am never going to attempt this mistake ever again. What the fuck was I thinking? Damn! That was the craziest thing I've ever done in my life." Ciara blamed herself.
But after a second thought, Ciara was pleased to take that bold step because she didn't see Kelly releasing the house keys anytime.
Approaching the Main road to board a cab heading to the address Walter gave her, a car from behind drove past Ciara.
It came this close to knocking Ciara off the ground. Thankfully, the driver was able to control the steering wheel and directed it to a different side.
Ciara was stunned.
She widened her mouth in a fly-catching position.
"How did that happen?" She asked herself.
"How did I go from escaping from my Father to the point where I almost got knocked off by a car?"
Meanwhile, the car that nearly had Ciara knocked off halted right in the middle of the road. It was reversing to where Ciara stood.
She hadn't moved an inch from where she was. The shock of being knocked off was still messing with her head.
The return of the vehicle was more inciting to Ciara than surviving a death scare. She finally found the opportunity to unleash the beast inside of her on the man who got her knocked down.
As the car approached further, Ciara thought of what to do. She imagined herself destroying the windshield with stone. However, she was scared that the case might turn out against her. Secondly, she won't be able to afford the windshield should that happen
For those reasons, Ciara decided to depend on her utterances to fight for her. She was already rehearsing the nasty things she was going to say to the driver when he finally arrived.
The car finally pulled over in front of Ciara. But this time, it didn't hit her. With a move too fast, Ciara rushed to confront the driver when a familiar face stepped down from the car.
Immediately, Ciara retreated to rethink her decision. Seeing the person made her weak to the extent that she felt like walking away.
After spending ten minutes in the bathroom, Romeo stepped outside. At that time, he had already convinced himself that Nancy had gone for good. It was worse than a near-death experience for Romeo. He knew the wife he married and decided to act smart. He hadn't told her yet, and she was already acting like she would set the house ablaze. He can't imagine what will happen when he eventually does. "I just hope I can keep up with this lie for the next 6 months until I get my job back," Romeo prayed. He did a cross sign and went back to bed. The suspension at the station was somehow becoming a blessing in disguise for Romeo because he couldn't call the last time he had that long sleep. Let alone staying at home that long before. It wasn't too long when Romeo went to sleep, and he was already hearing some footsteps in his dream. He thought it was all a dream until he heard someone call his name. "Romeo!" The voice sounded like Nancy's. Instantly, Romeo tossed off the bed as fear grippe
It was just the first day without a Job, and Romeo's life hasn't remained the same anymore. There's a part of him that's missing from inside that he just can't fathom. He would roll to both sides of the bed like a snake due to frustration. He couldn't even summon the courage to tell his wife about the devastating news. He was scared that his wife might react badly to the news or do something crazy. He intends to keep the news to himself for the longest time possible until he's done helping Dexter get out of prison."Honey, I am off to work. I would also drop the kids at school on my way to work. If you ever feel hungry, your food is in the dining room. Love you!" Nancy, Romeo's wife, informed him. She kissed his forehead afterward.26 years of age, light-skinned, curly hair, and curved. They've been married for 10 years and blessed with 3 beautiful kids. Nancy was never supporting Romeo's decision to become a cop. She was scared that he might get shot to death on duty. As a gradua
"Hold on a second! I hope It's not what I am thinking that's running through your mind right now?" She freaked out. "I don't know what you think I'm thinking. But whatever it is, who knows? It might be a beautiful thing. Don't you think so?" Derek winked at Ciara and winked seductively. "Then you must be the biggest dreamer on earth. I don't see that happening. Just so you know, your dad and my Dad had arranged for your Brother, Dexter and I to be married," Like a rocket, Ciara launched the shocking news straight into Derek's heart."What the heck?" Derek exclaimed in shock and pulled over Immediately. "What are you doing? Why did you have to pull over like that? Were you trying to get us killed?""Have you agreed to get married to my brother?" Asked, Derek as he breathed heavily. He was lucky enough not to suffer a cardiac arrest. The news caught him aware. "Does it matter? I haven't arrived at my destination yet. Unless you want me to come down and start searching for a cab,"
"You again? What kind of man are you? What do you want from me? Don't you get tired of stalking me? It wasn't enough for you to show up in my house unannounced, now you want to get me killed? How cruel can you get? Do you want me to report you to the cops before you leave me the heck alone?" Ciara yelled at Derek with the loudest voice for almost knocking her down. She didn't even give him a breathing space to explain better. At every attempt to speak, she keeps shutting him down. "Can I at least explain myself better? You are already condemning me without a fair judgment. Even a criminal is entitled to a fair hearing at the court." Derek pleaded like a pauper. "What do you have to say in time defense? You certainly have no point. The truth remains that you almost got me killed. How else are you going to defend that? Perhaps, you want to justify the reason you almost got me killed. " She yelled again. This time, even worse than the first time. The situation was attracting too much

"You wouldn't dare do something stupid, Ciara. Your mom and I didn't raise you to be this disrespectful towards me,""Take my mom's name out of your fucking mouth, Dad. She wouldn't treat me this way if she was alive, and you know it. So don't try to defend your mediocrity," Ciara clapped back immediately with full confidence.Ciara's confidence grew stronger as each day passed. Gone were the days when she could barely even look in Kelly's face and speak. "I don't care what you do or say. The reason you turned out this way is that your late mom spoiled you. But with me, it's not going to be possible. I will do everything possible to ensure you act right. Hand over the paper to me now. I am speaking to you as your Father. It's an order, and you must obey me," Kelly roared like a wounded lion. Kelly attempted to snatch the paper from Ciara. Unfortunately for him, Ciara saw that coming and edged backward. She stood a few miles away from Kelly should he attempt to punch her in the fac
