After going through various trials, the 12th graders finally experienced what a real farewell felt like. All the 12th-grade students wore their proud graduation gowns.

Kaila was the saddest, to the point of buying her own tissues to wipe her tears. There was no Arif—who would wipe them for her?

Aqila looked at Kaila lazily. "Come on, Kai, you've been crying since earlier. We can still meet up, you know. We might even end up at the same university, right?" Aqila tried to calm Kaila down.

Meanwhile, Allisya was still eating her bread. Earlier that morning, she had forgotten to have breakfast because she was afraid of being late.

"Sya? Are you going to college?" Aqila asked, turning to look at Allisya.

"Eh? Hehe, I want to be in the same university as Kak Aris so I don't miss him even more," Allisya replied shyly.

"Oh, right!" Kaila slapped her forehead. "Kak Arif is going to be in the same university as your boyfriend, Sya. Well, I have to graduate and get into that university," Kaila said, fired up and full of enthusiasm.

Aqila stared at Kaila in disbelief. "Do you even think you can get in there? Your brain is barely average, and you still cheat off me," Aqila said sharply, making Kaila immediately pout.

"Don't say that, I'm getting scared now."

"Let's just study together later. I want us to be together again, just like now. Don't ever forget, okay? Later, if we run into each other, don't pretend not to see me," Allisya said softly. Being forgotten would really hurt.

As the event proceeded, it opened with the announcement of the best academic scores, which were achieved by Allisya.

"Syaaa! I know this is a dream. Pinch me, Sya! I'll only believe it if I see how smart you are—I'm so jealous, hwaaa!" Kaila cried out sadly, unable to believe that Allisya had earned the highest National Exam score among the entire cohort.

Everyone stared at Kaila in confusion and amusement. That girl was always so dramatic.

Allisya pinched Kaila's cheek. "So, are you awake now?"

"You're insane," Aqila said, giving Kaila a sharp look. The girl just grinned and rubbed her sore cheek.

"Don't forget to buy me some snacks, Sya," Kaila requested as Allisya walked toward the podium. The girl turned and smiled.

"When will you ever be like that, Kai?" Aqila asked, surprised.

Kaila sighed. "I'm not as smart as you and Allisya. I'm really grateful to God for giving me two friends who are willing to teach me," Kaila suddenly said, her voice soft.

Aqila put her arm around Kaila's shoulder. "You're welcome, Kai. I'm also grateful to have been blessed with a dramatic girl like you who cheers me up when I'm sad. Kaila, may God bless your life."

Kaila hugged Aqila, emotional. "You two are the best friends I've had since middle school until now. I can't believe we've been in the same class all this time."

"I, Allisya Lesham Shaenette, express my deepest gratitude to God for granting me this award as a result of my effort and hard work throughout my studies. And during my studies, there were friends who always accompanied me. They are Kaila and Aqila. I ask you both to come up here," Allisya's announcement drew the attention of the entire cohort toward Kaila and Aqila.

"Kai! You're being called up! Hurry up! I can't wait to go home!"

Kaila clicked her tongue in annoyance. "You can't wait to go home? Don't you miss your friends at all? This is a farewell event—it's supposed to be a sad moment." She got up from her seat. "Come on, let's go to the podium," she said, pulling Aqila's hand and holding it.

On the podium, Allisya hugged Aqila and Kaila.

"And this trophy," Allisya released the hug, showing the trophy she was holding. "Is also for you."

Kaila's eyes widened. "Are you serious, Sya? You're the one who earned this. Aqila and I just studied with you."

Allisya shook her head. "Without you, I wouldn't have been motivated to study. Especially you, Kai, who always made me laugh. And Aqila, who advised me when I was wrong. Thank you, okay?"

Aqila and Kaila nodded. "You're welcome," they said in unison.

The crowd erupted in applause and whistles from the boys. Some even teased the three of them. Especially on graduation day, the female students were allowed to wear makeup.

"Allisya! Marry me!"

"Kaila! Go out with me! You're single, right?"

Kaila turned and gave the mischievous boy a sharp look. What did he say? Single? No way. Her heart already belonged to someone, and she had to protect that.

"No! I already have Kak Arif. One guy is enough; I don't need to overdo it or secretly look for someone else, let alone cheat!" Kaila declared confidently. That was how it should be—she valued Arif's feelings. Was there any girl like Kaila? One was enough; she wouldn't even glance at anyone else.

"Aqila, you look beautiful today. Will you be the mother of my children?"

Aqila ignored him.

"Remember, Kak Javas is always faithful to you. He doesn't even pay attention to other girls. He must always protect your heart and feelings," Kaila whispered. Aqila just mumbled something unintelligible.

"Allisya? I can make you happy too, better than your busy boyfriend," said Daniel, who was sitting in the front row but had shifted slightly to the corner. It was hard to explain his position.

"Sir?" Allisya asked the MC. "Can we come down? The award presentation is over. Please just continue with the next agenda, sir," Allisya suggested. She recognized the voice, but right now she didn't want to deal with Daniel.

"Oh, sure. Please go ahead," the MC nodded.

Allisya, Aqila, and Kaila didn't look at Daniel, who kept calling Allisya's name.

"Is Kak Aris coming, Sya? I don't want Daniel to bother you," Kaila whispered softly.

Allisya shook her head. "I don't know, Kai. Since the National Exam, Kak Aris has rarely contacted me. There's been no word," she replied sadly. She missed that guy so much. Staying in touch was the best way to put a partner's mind at ease.

"Congratulations, Sya. I'm happy and glad to see you win. As a reward for your effort and hard work in pursuing knowledge, I bought this for you," Aris said, handing her a university entrance preparation book, specifically a collection of practice questions.

Allisya looked up. "Kak Aris, you came here? I thought you were busy and forgot about me. You didn't know that I missed you so much and was worried something had happened to you," Allisya said, unable to say more. Without hesitation, she hugged Aris and cried.

Hearing Allisya's sobs, Aris felt guilty.

"Sya? Don't cry. It makes me sad too. Now I'm here. I promise I'll always be here for you, Sya," Aris said, returning the hug. "You're willing, right, Sya? According to our parents' agreement?"

Allisya looked up at Aris's face. "Yes," she nodded. And that agreement was to get engaged.

Kaila pouted. She hugged Aqila. "Why do I feel sad too?"

Aqila pulled herself away from Kaila. "What's wrong with you, Kai? Go hug Kak Arif instead."

Kaila snorted. "Hey, where's Kak Javas? He's always wandering around, not coming home."

"Aqila."

"Kaila."

They both turned toward the voices. Surprise. Arif and Javas had arrived.

Aqila rushed to hug Javas, and Kaila did the same.

"Kak Javas, I ranked fifth. Is that okay?"

Javas nodded. "No matter what rank you got, you did your best, right?"

Aqila nodded. "Same university as Kak Javas, hehe."

Kaila, on the other hand, started crying. Aris looked at her in confusion.

"Kai? Why are you crying? Did you miss me that much?" Arif asked gently. Kaila shook her head. So what was making his girl cry?

"Then what is it, hmm?" Arif teased, knowing it would probably be something silly.

"I'm hungry. I want to eat lots of snow ice from the cafeteria. I'm going to miss the cafeteria food," Kaila answered, looking very sad. Arif was still stunned, unable to believe it.

"Okay. Let's go, how many do you want? As many as you like."

"Thank you, Kak Arif," Kaila said without hesitation, pecking Arif on the cheek.

"Kaila, how dare you smooch him like a duck?" Aqila asked, still surprised. Kaila could be romantic? Since when?

Kaila shot Aqila a sharp look. "So what? Are you jealous?"

Aqila shook her head. "Not at all," she replied casually.

Javas chuckled. "Really, sweetheart?" Javas then pecked Aqila on the cheek, leaving her frozen.

Kaila burst out laughing at Aqila's reaction. "When you get kissed, you just freeze. Why? Shocked? You better be shocked."

"They're so happy, aren't they, Kak?" Allisya said, watching her two friends being happy with their respective partners.

"Because they've met each other, that's why they're happy. Longing is cured. Just like me with you," Aris added a sweet line at the end. Allisya smiled shyly.

Ah, so sweet.

Meanwhile, Daniel, watching all this, clenched his fists.

"And your happiness won't last long, Sya."
