Chapter 20: The Scandal

Veena was roughly pulled away from Lois' arms and Stephen pushed her behind him. What is he doing!? Is he even aware that this scandalous scene will taint the Sullivan family's image? 

"How dare you put your hands on her!" Stephen growled at Lois. 

Lois did not react and was calm throughout Stephen's screaming anger. This reaction provoked Stephen and made him furious, because of anger his hand on Veena tightened. Veena winced and tried to remove his hand on her arm. It hurts. 

Before Stephen could do anything Lois stepped forward and pushed him, falling to the floor. The pain from Veena's face made him act recklessly. He growled upon seeing the bruise on his wife's arm. He held her in a protective manner.
