Chapter 18

“Where have you been; I’ve been calling your line for the past 30 minutes. Did you expect me to leave my office and search for you at a random restaurant. My meeting is the next 30 minutes; get everything ready” Nek looks upset as he furiously glares at me.

I can’t really understand what I did wrong; I’m entitled to a one hour break and seeing that I left a note I think I’m justified. Nek is unpredictable; sometimes he’s nice and sometimes he’s the devil himself.

One think I’ve learnt about Nek in my 3 years of working with him is that he’d be mean to you, and expect you to take it with a smile and a cherry on top. But what can I do; it's not like I have another job with a better offer waiting for me somewhere.

Nek glares at me as he patiently waits for my response, “yes sir, I’ll call Mr. Fad's secretary and inquire if he’s ready for the meeting. Would that be all?” I add, i have the urge to berate him for shouting at me, but I remember that I’m the employee here.

Nek eases on the sc
