The luxurious manor was so quiet that the atmosphere was almost eerie for anyone who still awake, not many servants passed by as they must all be asleep. It was already past midnight. But in the spacious dimly lit kitchen, a girl could be seen still doing her work.

Kiara had just finished sweeping the floor and was about to return to her tiny bedroom in the servants' pavilion across the backyard when the Luna called out to her. The woman asked Kiara to bring her a tea. She quickly brewed the tea, add some honey and carried the tray and cup to the second floor where Luna Angeline's bedroom was located.

Arriving in front of the large black polished wooden door, Kiara's heart was beating so fast. Her hand holding the tea wavered as her mind inexorably recalled what happened about a week ago.

She had tried to banish the thought but still the memory was so vivid in her mind. It was when her body was pulled into the room by a strong figure and pushed roughly onto the large bed. At that time Kiara could not resist because the man's strength was so strong. When she opened her eyes, she saw Alpha Dave's figure overshadowing her. Kiara sighed. She felt her chest tighten with fear. She fearfully knocked on the door of the room "Your tea, Luna"

The door was opened by a beautiful woman wearing a maroon nightgown. Angeline motioned for Kiara to put her tea on the nightstand. The girl complied.

"Is there anything else you need, Luna?"

Kiara had been working as a maid at the manor for about a month. She served the Pureblood pack family well and worked diligently. Even so, the Luna only about five days ago arrived here after she had to be cared for in her parents' pack due to her health. Luna Angeline missed her parents and Alpha Dave allowed her to stay in the Shadow pack for a while.

"No.You can go."

She didn't know Luna very well but with just the first sight of the woman, Kiara instantly agree with the rumor that Angeline was the most beautiful woman in the Shadow pack. Alpha of the Pureblood pack, One of the oldest and largest werewolf packs in the world.

'They are soulmates chosen by the Moon goddess. They are so compatible. Alpha Dave must have loved her very much' The girl's mind whispered heartbreakingly. Standing in front of Luna Angeline made her feel like a pebble in front of a diamond. 'Alpha Dave will only kick me out if I tell him. I'll keep this a secret for now'

"Didn't you hear me? I said you could leave my room now" The woman said coldly to her.

Luna Angeline was sort of being curt to her after the day after Luna's arrival here, Kiara saw something that she thought was odd. It's when the Luna entered the Alpha's cousin's bedroom. Angeline was really upset when an omega caught her that time. The woman thought that Kiara was stalking her

Kiara bowed quietly and waltzed out, she sighed with relief. Luckily Alpha Dave had been out with his Beta since yesterday so she didn't have to see him. Kiara didn't know how to act when she was meet him.

She was about to leave and go back to the kitchen but she stopped dead on her way. She looked up and found those icy blue irises piercing her cold. Her legs trembled, and she gripped her tray tightly to keep it from falling to the floor.

'How could he be here? Shouldn't he just be coming back tomorrow?'

Kiara lost her words.

"What are you doing in my mate's room?" Alpha Dave's voice was always the same . Cold and deep. And with the way he stared at her, Kiara became even more afraid to answer. It was as if the man wanted to kill her with just a stare.

Dave saw how the girl fidgeted, he furrowed his brows. Her knuckles turned white and her eyes widened as if she had just seen a ghost. She bit her lips, he tried his best not to focus on her rosy and slightly wet lips.

"Luna Angeline asked for a tea, Alpha" Kiara answered quietly, didn't dare to make eye contact with him.

Dave nodded. Feeling that she had no more questions to answer, Kiara bowed to the most feared Alpha and walked past him. She had almost reached the stairs when Alpha Dave called her back

"Wait"

Kiara stopped, hearing the sound of heavy steps approaching her from behind, she slowly turned around.

"Have you taken your pills?" The man asked.

Kiara swallowed. She still kept it in the drawer of her room. She had taken it as soon as Alpha Dave gave it to her.

"That contraceptive I gave you. Don't tell me you didn't take it?"

"I have swallowed it"

If only that night had never happened, when the drunk Alpha Dave forced her to make love and load his seed inside her. She was just an orphan girl and a servant, Alpha Dave already had Luna. She didn't want to make any trouble for herself.

"That's good then. I don't want to impregnate an omega."

Kiara just nodded. She knew. She realized that her position was so low compared to the man in front of her. She was just one of the many servants Alpha Dave Malion had. Kiara would not let foolish hopes overcome her. She had already taken the pill, but even so, why wasn't her period coming?

"Oh and one more thing, keep your distance from my mate as much as possible. Do you understand Omega?" Dave tilted her chin. For some reason he wanted her to look at him when they talked like this. Instead of dropping her gaze to the floor.

Kiara swallowed all the pain, she was still standing there when he turned around and walked away. She just stared at his broad back and tall figure with sadness in her beautiful eyes.
