71. Brent's Mother's Grave

Beverley walked quickly out of the apartment building. Her face was sullen. Brent tried to take her hand many times, but she always brushed him off.

“Honey, my car’s not there!” Brent exclaimed from behind.

Beverley stopped her steps in annoyance. “What the hell! I brought my own car!”

Brent sighed. It was the first time Beverley had ever gotten angry with him. He had just found out that she was quite difficult for him to reconcile with. But he understood that. After all, she was much younger than him.

He chased after her and gripped her hand. “Honey, you just woke up. Did you bring your car keys?”

Beverley was silent. She hadn’t brought anything. Forget the car keys. She was even still wearing Katy’s pajamas and house slippers. It made her embarrassed and annoyed.

“Isn’t that because you took me by force?!” she grumbled.
