Luna sat huddled hugging her knees. She looked at the graves of her parents with a sad gaze. Who would have thought that that night would be her last night with them. Honestly, Luna still can't believe what happened. How could they possibly leave her so soon?
"Luna, that's all right, you'll get sick later, let's go home okay," Jane—Luna's best friend, tried to persuade the girl to leave the tomb as soon as it was getting dark.
"Can't I just sleep here?" asked Luna in a weak voice.
Jane fell silent. She knew that Luna was so lost. Who wouldn't be so hurt if they had to lose both parents on their birthday?
Jane also sat beside Luna, she no longer cared about the condition of the tomb which was getting tense because it was dark. She would only accompany Luna until she felt better.
"Know what's funny?" asked Luna suddenly.
"What?" asked Jane confused.
She didn't see anything funny in that incident.
"Before my daddy died, he asked the man who crashed our car to marry me! Instead of giving me his account passwords, safes, and other treasures, he asked a complete stranger to marry me!" Luna laughed sadly remembering her father's last request.
Jane didn't say anything because she was too confused about how to react. She couldn't imagine how it felt to be Luna. How could she marry a man who had killed her parents?
"So... you agree to marry that man?" asked Jane carefully.
Luna shook her head weakly.
"I don't want to, but after all, that's daddy's last wish. So far, Dad has never asked for anything from me. You know my parents always pamper me. They never demand anything. I feel very guilty if I can't fulfill his last wish," Luna answered in a very low voice.
Jane fell silent. She knew very well what Luna said was true. And it was fitting for Luna to fulfill her father's last wish.
It is just...
"You are willing to marry that stranger man?" she asked.
Luna didn't answer and just took a deep breath. The girl tightly closed her eyes, and let the cold wind hit her pale face.
"Hey, you two silly girls! Can you guys just go home? It's time for the ghosts to come out, if you stay here, they will be very annoyed!"
Luna and Jane turned their heads in unison towards the voice that suddenly sounded so loud from behind them.
Eros—Luna's best friend, stood with his arms folded across his chest while staring intently at the two girls in front of him.
"Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be in China?" asked Luna confused.
"No, you're senile! He's studying in Korea, not China!" Jane protested.
"Stupid, I studied in Aussie," Eros said quietly.
Luna and Jane nodded their heads in understanding.
"It's late, you guys should go home, you can grieve at home with a heater and snacks to prop up your empty stomachs!" Eros exclaimed then sighed.
"He's been abroad for so long that he forgets that no one uses heating in Indonesia," Jane sneered.
Ah, Eros forgot about that one. Even if there is hail, Indonesians will still turn on the air conditioning in their homes.
"But... I agree with the idea of a stomach prop. We've been crying all day long, so at least have mercy on our bodies," Jane said softly, making Luna smile slightly.

"So you're getting married? At a young age? Ah, to that strange man you just met on that terrible day?" Eros asked with wide eyes.
Jane scowled at Eros' successive questions. Couldn't that man be sensitive enough not to press Luna with that question? Luna's been pretty messed up today.
"So has he been here and had a serious talk with you?" asked Eros again.
"Who is he?" asked Luna confused.
"The man who promised to marry you!" said Eros annoyed.
"Um, Sam?" asked Luna again.
"Okay, so that guy's name is Sam? Then, has Sam been here?" Eros insisted.
Luna shook her head weakly in response to Eros' question.
"What if it turns out he already has a wife? Or worst of all, he already has children? And what if he turns out to be a man with minuses?"
Jane, who couldn't bear to hear Eros' question, immediately grabbed a sofa cushion and threw it at Eros.
"Seriously, can you just shut up? Don't pressure Luna any further! Look at Luna already so tired and depressed! At least let her rest for today!" Jane growled.
"Sorry, you're right, I should let Luna rest for now. But I think this is something very important, so I can't wait to say it," Eros said as he leaned his back on the sofa.
"It's okay, I know you guys are worried about me. It's just, for now, I really can't think properly. Maybe because I'm tired," Luna smiled and looked at her two best friends in turn.
Eros and Jane nodded slowly.
"For these few days, we'll be staying here, so you can rest easy and rest without worrying about anything. When Sam comes, you don't have to worry, I'll take care of it!" Eros smiled meaningfully at Luna.
"Don't make fun of him! Don't be ridiculous, if Sam comes here later, I'll just find him! If you meet him, I'm not sure what will happen after that!" Jane stared hard into Eros's beady eyes.
"No, there are things men should talk about. Consider me Luna's guardian now!" Eros exclaimed emphatically.
Jane shook her head slowly. She immediately pulled Luna and took Luna away from the room before Eros rambled even more inconsequentially.
Luna took a deep breath after she was finally able to lie down on her soft bed.
"It all happened so fast, to be honest, I wasn't ready, Jane."
Hearing Luna's words, Jane could only nod weakly.
"Slow down, Luna, I know this isn't easy, you still have me and Eros, don't ever feel alone," Jane said, patting the back of Luna's hand lightly.
Tears were flowing from the girl's eyes.
"Thanks, Jane," Luna said softly.
Jane just smiled warmly in response to Luna's words.
Meanwhile, on the other side of Luna's house, Eros was busy with his cell phone. He had told his Aussie roommate that he wouldn't be back there anytime soon, so he asked his friend to put away any valuables he still had left there.
Under these circumstances, Eros would not have wanted to leave Luna alone. Eros loved that girl very much. As a best friend of course.
Eros, Luna, and Jane have been friends since childhood, they are even closer than siblings. At a time like this, Eros felt compelled to take care of Luna until she felt much better.
"Are you crazy, Sam?" shrieked Miss Veronica—Sam's Mother.Sam was silent with his arms folded across his chest."How could you want to marry someone you don't know? What if she's far from your type? What if she's a bad girl?!" said Mrs. Veronica. For the umpteenth time today, Sam took a deep breath. His chest felt so tight with guilt. He is not a naïve man, he knows full well that Luna lost her parents because of his carelessness, indirectly, Sam killed Luna's parents."No, Sam, I don't agree with you! We can compensate her handsomely, no need to marry her!" said Mrs. Veronica."What did you just say, Veronica?!" shouted Mr. William—Sam's father."I won't let Sam make the wrong decision! The death of that girl's parents wasn't completely Sam's fault! The roads were slippery because of the heavy rain! Everyone can have an accident in those circumstances. Why did that old man have to force our precious son to marry his daughter? And what kind of girl is she?!" Mrs. Veronica growled."W
"What?" Eros shouted angrily. For Eros, this man in front of him really didn't know himself, after killing Luna's parents, he wanted to make Luna become his wife?! He's kidding? Eros certainly wouldn't let that man marry his precious Luna."You know what you just said?!" growled Eros.Sam took a deep breath. His eagle eyes then turned to Eros who was staring at him sharply. Whoever Eros is, Sam will not back down to make Luna becomes his wife."I know very well what I just said. Look, I can't ignore Luna's father's last wish! I know I don't deserve to make that happen with all the sins I've committed. However, I don't want to be even more sinful by ignoring his last wish. I will not force Luna to agree to marry me. However... please think carefully," said Sam with all sincerity.Hearing the seriousness in Sam's tone, Luna melted a little. Sam is handsome, looks rich, and is educated. Of course, the decision to marry him was not for other purposes such as wealth and so on. With Sam's h
"So, what are your parent's names?" said Mrs. Veronica as Luna invited Sam and his parents to sit in the living room."Can you hold on? We just sat down!" Mr. William warned.Mrs. Veronica completely ignored her husband's words and continued to stare at Luna with a sharp gaze. She was still waiting for Luna's answer.Seeing Mrs. Veronica's attitude, Luna just smiled. She then left the living room and took a family photo which was still neatly framed on his father's desk. Luna gave a photo of her parents to Mrs. Veronica after she got to the living room."My father's name is Andreas, and my mother's name is Lily. If you are interested in my parents' work, I will be happy to explain." Said Luna confidently. It seems that Sam's mother is quite underestimating her family.Unlike his wife, who normally saw the photo, Mr. William was immediately stunned to see the face of his old friend in the frame."Andreas," Mr. William muttered."You know him?" asked Mrs. Veronica confused."He was the
Jane was still struggling with Luna's hair when Eros came. It was agreed that the two girls would style each other's hair when they married.Carefully Jane styled Luna's hair and placed small flowers on the girl's brown hair."For your information, all the invited guests including the groom-to-be have been waiting for you for a long time!" snapped Eros.To be honest, Eros was still very upset because Luna decided to marry Sam even though Eros and Jane had tried to prevent it.Luna is still very young, she is beautiful and accomplished. It would be a shame if the girl got married this young."Shut up, I'm doing my best to make Luna look hundreds of times prettier!" said Jane no less curtly.Eros sighed in annoyance, he then approached the two girls and sat on a chair that was not far from them."All you've been doing is sticking wildflowers in Luna's hair! Was that what you did best?" sneered Eros."Yes, said someone who does not understand art!" she growled.Luna just smiled faintly.
After successfully escaping from the party that was still going on with great fanfare, Luna and Sam went to a small park in the hotel area. The two of them sat silently looking up at the night sky filled with stars. The two of them were silent for quite a long time.Luna took off the high heels she was wearing, and let her bare feet touch the grass underneath. Wearing high heels all day really tortured her. But for the sake of making Jane happy, she was forced to wear it. Jane has been trying so hard to get everything ready. The wedding dress, jewelery and glass slipper with a height of ten centimeters."Your feet are red, want me to get some warm water?" Sam asked quietly.Luna who was surprised to hear Sam's voice, immediately turned towards the man. For a moment, Luna forgot that Sam was also there."No, my leg will get better after resting for a bit," Luna said as soon as she regained full consciousness."Listen, maybe I'm asking too much, but this is important..." Sam said doubtf
Luna and Sam looked at each other for a few moments. They were still semi-conscious when suddenly Mrs. Veronica came into the hotel room and carried two medium-sized suitcases in her hands."How did you get in?" asked Sam in surprise. The man straightened up and leaned back on the sofa where he slept."Of course, it's because you didn't close the door properly! As expected, you two definitely won't be sleeping together tonight. It's okay, maybe you need some time. And that's why I'm here now!" said Mrs. Veronica excitedly.Luna who was now sitting on the edge of the bed, immediately blinked her eyes several times. As far as she could remember, Sam's mother didn't like her, so why did her mother-in-law look so good now?"What do you want, Mom?" asked Sam reluctantly. It made no sense to him for a mother to enter the room of her newly married son. What did the old woman want?"Do you remember Aunt Rosita? She gifted you a honeymoon package to Korea, and after thinking about it, I think
After a day of fun on the beach, Luna and Sam enter a nightclub near their resort. Luna thought all the nightclubs in Korea were precisely the same as those she saw in dramas. But the girl was shocked that the nightclub she went to was far different from what she thought. The music is too loud, too crowded, and too dark."This is different from what I saw in the drama," Luna said, barely audible.Sam turned to the girl with frowned eyebrows. He could hear the girl's speech even though it was quiet because the music there was loud."If you don't like it, we can find another place, I see there is a cafe not far from here," Sam exclaimed a little louder.Luna distributed her gaze across the room and found an empty seat, pulling Sam's arm to get there."We have spent a lot of money to get here, it is a pity if we have to go home. I also have to use the toilet, so just order some food and drinks," Luna said.Sam nodded while Luna immediately went to look for where the toilet was.Luna walk
"Crazy!" growled Eros.Jane, who was lying on the sofa in her room, immediately sighed so long that she heard the constant chatter of Eros."Can't you go home? Please, think of my ear and mental health because early in the morning like this should hear all your babbling!" growled Jane.Eros frowned; he moved to Jane and sat on the edge of the sofa, staring at the girl with a sharp look."What are you thinking? How can you help them? Aren't You Afraid If something happens to Luna?!" asked Eros with hardened jaws and hands firmly gripping the sofa cushions. For the umpteenth time this morning, Jane sighed heavily."What will happen to Luna?!" please Jane."Luna went on vacation with her husband! Nothing bad will happen to him, Eros! For the sake of nothing, stop worrying about something that won't happen!"Jane's got to keep her head up.Eros shook his head slowly and pinched Jane's cheek to make the girl moan in pain."That's the problem, Jane! Luna goes with Sam! What if Sam disobeys t
