MILDRED POV

As I lay on my bed, staring blankly at the ceiling, my thoughts tangled in a mess, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t put my mind at ease, I didn’t know how to deal with my feelings for Gray and Kaden, I had to take a walk or something, I couldn’t just think straight right now.

I felt like a hamster on a wheel, running in circles, without a defined destination. I needed help.

With a sigh, I reach for my phone, which was lying on the floor where I had carelessly dropped it earlier’ probably due to confusion, I dialed Tessy’s number’ it rang for a few times before she picked up

“Hello?” Her voice was heard from the other end of the phone, her voice soft yet alert.

“Hey” Tessy I said.

Didi? What’s wrong

“Where are you?” I asked instead of answering.

“At home, I left the party early to help my mom with Tony.”

Tony is Tessy’s one-year-old little brother; she always takes care of him whenever her mum is busy, just like today.

Okay, I said, I hesitated. “Can we meet tomorrow morning? Because I am down right now and need to talk to someone.

“Hey!” Didi are you okay?

Are you sure you don’t want me to come over? She asked anxiously,

“Oh no, don’t, you know how your mum is about leaving Tony with someone else,” I tried to keep my voice light. “It’s not that serious, I can handle it for now, let’s meet tomorrow.”

“Are you sure?” Pressed.

“Yeah, I'm fine”. I just need to clear my head.

She sighed. “Alright. But if you change your mind, you can call me.”

“I will.”

“Okay then. Try to get some rest. Bye.”

After hanging up, I dropped my phone on the nightstand and rubbed my temples. My head aches from overthinking. If I didn’t stop might go crazy.

My mind was in a fuss, I had to sleep, if not, I might really go crazy. I stood, walked to the dresser, and pulled out a bottle of sleeping pills. After taking one, I cleaned off my makeup, changed into a loose shirt, and climbed into bed.

Even as sleep pulled at my eyelids, my mind refused to settle. Gray and Kaden. Were they thinking about me too? Had they talked about what happened?

I squeezed my eyes shut, willing to take these thoughts away. It didn’t matter. None of it mattered.

I drifted to sleep.

“Mildred”

A deep, familiar voice called my name.

I turned to see Kaden standing a few feet away from the bed, looking devastatingly handsome, his dark hair was tousled, his lips a deep pink making my mouth juicy, while his intense gaze made my stomach flip.

“Can we talk?” he asked.

I swallow hard, nodding. “Sure.”

“Not here.” He glanced around before locking eyes with me, “Come to our pack, to our room”

I blinked, “Your room? You mean, you and Gray’s room?”

He nodded.

A frown tugged at my lips. “I thought no one was allowed in there. Last time I tried, you both kicked me out.”

His lips curled into a smirk. “We changed our minds.”

I crossed my arms. “Oh really? What changed?”

Kaden’s smirk deepened. “We realized we couldn’t live without you.?”

I stood up from the bed and walked towards him. My heart beat, faster because of our closeness

Before I could say a word, he reached for my hand, threading his fingers through mine. The warmth of his touch sent a shiver down my spine.

“Come,” he murmured.

I let him lead me to the now dimly lit room, someone must have walked in and switched off the lights. He pushed me to the bed, and my heart stuttered.

Gray is sitting on the bed. We locked eyes with him, his expression unreadable.

When did you come in? “Who did you think of the light?” he said, with a smirk

Kaden went and closed the door.

Gray moved close to me, his eyes burning into mine,” sweet pie,” he murmured, their favorite nickname for me. “About last night”

My heart scattered; will they hate me? I have to find an excuse. “Gray, Kaden I …. Was drunk. I didn’t know what I was doing. So please don’t….”

Before I could finish, Kaden silenced me with a kiss.

My body was tensed and shocked, but only for a moment. His lips were soft, tender, yet passionate. His tongue requesting an entry, I gave way to it as he began to kiss me back, just then I felt warmth at my back.

Gray.

His hands slid around my waist as his lips found my neck, sending sparks of heat through me.

I gasped against Kaden’s mouth; my body caught between them. Kaden deepened the kiss, his finger tangling in my hair. Gray’s lips pressed against my skin, trailing soft kisses down my throat.

A moan escaped from my mouth before I could stop it.

Keden pulled away, his gaze dark with desire. “You like this, don’t you?”

I couldn’t answer. My breath was shaky, my body betraying me.

Gray turned my face toward him, capturing my lips in a possessive kiss. Kaden took advantage of the distraction, his hands slipping beneath my blouse. My skin burned where he touched me.

I couldn’t think, I didn’t want to. I knew that I wanted them both.

Kaden’s finger trailed up my stomach, reaching the clasp of my bra. Gray leaned in, brushing his lips over my ear.

“I want you,” he murmured.

My pulse quickened. My body trembled.

Kaden smirked. “Then don’t hold back.”

He leaned in, his lips kissed my bare skin. I couldn’t hold back.

I went down to his shirt, feeling his firm chest, down to his abs, and his body trembled from my touch.

His kiss on my neck intensified, giving me more courage to go deep down to his now bulging trousers, his c*ck threatening to come out of his trousers.

I went down and grasped his erect c*ck through his trousers, and rubbed it firmly.

His trousers were on the way, so I went up and pulled them down, but he grasped my hands, I looked up to him, wondering why? He said nothing, but by then Gray also stopped, I also looked at him.

Gray moved toward Kaden and kissed him so intensely that I could hear them moaning through their breath. Just watching them made me highly spirited.

They both stopped. Kaden pulled up my blouse, ready to pound on my breast. He leaned in, his lips inches from my breast….

“Mildred! Wake up!”

The voice shattered the haze of pleasure.

I jolted upright, my breath uneven, my body still tingling. My heart hammered in my chest as I blinked, trying to separate dream from reality.

My body still felt warm, my pulse erratic.

Tessy stood over me, arms crossed, a smug smile on her face.

“Damn, girl,” She teased. “What were you dreaming about?”

My face blackened. “W-What?”

Tessy laughed. “Don’t play dumb. You were moaning in your sleep. Like, actual moaning.” She smirked.

“So, was it a sex dream?”

I groaned, pulling the blanket over her head. “Oh my god, kill me now.”

She laughed. “Not before you tell me who it was about. Let me guess, your mystery crush?”

I stayed silent, hoping her best friend would drop it.

Tessy gasped dramatically. “Oh no. It was about that guy at the cafe, wasn’t it?” She climbed onto the bed, shaking my shoulders. “Spill it! I demand details.”

I peeked out, my face still burning. “I hate you.”

She grinned. “No, you don’t. Now tell me, who is the lucky guy?”

I groaned again, covering my face with my hands. “I am never going back to sleeping again.”

Tessy burst into laughter. “Not with dreams like that, you’re not.”

I sighed, my heart still racing. I couldn’t believe it.

I had just dreamt about them.

And worse, Tessy had caught me, it quite embarrassing.

I am so screwed.

Wait, I swallowed hard, my heart still racing.

That dream….

I shouldn’t have wanted it.

But I did.

  • Mated Curse    CHAPTER FIVETEEN

In a vast ethereal hall, a lady sat on a throne as if she had always been there, as if the universe itself had been shaped around her presence. The throne was carved from a living moonstone, pale and luminous, veined with slow-moving light that pulsed like a celestial heartbeat. It hovered slightly above the palace floor, untouched by gravity, untouched by time. Every edge shimmered with radiant silver, not sharp, not harsh, but soft like the moonlight filtering through mist. Her skin glowed with a pearlescent shine, neither fully light nor shadow, but something in between. It reflected the soft blues and silvers of the palace, as if she carried the night within her flesh. Her hair flowed down her back in waves of liquid silver, long and endless, drifting as though no wind stirred the air. Tiny fragments of starlight clung to it shimmering gently, as if the heavens themselves had kissed her strands. Each movement of her head caused galaxies to shift with it.Her eyes… Ah, her eye.

  • Mated Curse    CHAPTER FOURTEEN

KADEN POVEverything stood still. That even my breath could be heard, not wanting to interfere with everything, I struggled to step back because the force was too strong for me; it was a power from another level, a power beyond anything I had ever faced. I have had a fair share of fights with every known race in this world, bled against creatures of myth and legend, yet none of them had ever radiated such power like this. What terrified me most wasn’t the power. It’s my mate, who is still in there, I don’t know how they will cope with it when even I, the strongest Lycan, couldn’t, I wish I could save them after this, if not Keal will kill me.He has threatened to take over, but I talked him out of it, because we couldn’t risk drowning if he got angry and shifted, he wouldn’t be able to swim, so I have to save them no matter the cause. I struggled to move forward, even though the power was too strong; then something happened. The water, which was everywhere, started finding its way

  • Mated Curse    CHAPTER THIRTEEN

RICK’S POVThe ceiling stared back at me, blank and unforgiving, as if judging me, for capturing my mate, I lay motionless on the bed, unsure how long I had been there. I had been there for minutes, maybe hours.Time had lost its meaning and anything that had meaning before, the moment my chest began to ache in that slow, unbearable way, deep and constant, like something vital was being torn from me inch by inch.It felt too quiet, too empty, even the air seemed heavier, pressing down on me as if it knew I didn’t have the strength to push back.Keal was awake inside me, restless but silent, his grief projecting mine. No growls, no rage, just a dull, constant weight, like mourning without tears.I turned my head to the side, staring at nothing, but feeling everything. His face. his smile. His existence. The truth I couldn’t escape facts. He wasn’t mine.Even though the mate bond burned inside me, it pains piercing right into my heart, I would never surrender to it. my heart ache, I

  • Mated Curse    CHAPTER TWELVE

MILDRED POVAt first, I thought I was dreaming.Water glittered at my feet, cool, clear, it was rippling where the ground should have been solid. It rose slowly, creeping higher, above the ground level. Though there was no river nearby, no river nearby, only the steady hush of rain.Cold seeped into my bones, not just my body but my life. I knew this wasn’t a place meant to be wet… yet the water wrapped around me all the same. I could feel it deep inside me.“Mildred!” Kaden’s voice sliced through the haze. I opened my eyes fully and panic seized me, water flooded the dungeon, swallowing the ground beneath us. “What happened?” I asked, my voice cracking. “It’s a flood,” he shouted. “I think the whole place is flooding!”“How?” I gasped. “How is this possible?”“It has been raining heavily” he said, glancing around as water continued to rise, “And the dungeon is filling up.”That made no sense.I stood up, but the current slammed into my legs, knocking me off balance. The water cl

  • Mated Curse    CHAPTER ELEVEN

CHAPTER 11 The night split open with a roar of thunder, dark clouds swallowed the moon, overpowering the world’s shadow, a reckless wind howled through the trees, bending them like frightened servants before a wrathful king. A moment later, the heavens broke loose. Rain crashed down in torrents, wild unrelenting, merciless. Each drop struck the earth like a hammer, turning the quiet village into a trembling sea of mud. Illuminating rooftops, terrified faces, and the rising waters that swallow the streets. Within minutes, the ground disappeared beneath swirling waves. The flood surged through doorways and alleys, dragging away baskets, firewood, and anything foolish enough to resist it, the once familiar path vanished, replaced by an agitating, angry current that reflected the stormy heaven roar of the flood. And through it all, the storm raged on, wild and untamed, as if the sky itself were mourning, or warning, of what was yet to come. Rick stood at the window watching the thurmi

  • Mated Curse    CHAPTER TEN

Mildred woke up to a damp, ancient smell, one that felt like the place hadn’t been occupied in ages. As her eyes adjusted, looking at the surroundings, her heart hitched. The dungeon stretched before her like a forgotten cathedral of sorrow. Iron bars rose like cold prayers; the chains lay coiled like the serpents dreaming of their next captive. And the air tasted of rust and forsaken oaths; each breath reminded her that even stone remembered pain.Someone was lying before her. The room was pitch black, so she couldn’t see the person, and the smell of rust masked every other smell. So she couldn’t smell him.“You’re awake? A calm gentle voice asked. “Do you need water?” he asked again. Her throat burned. “Yes,” she whispered. He handed her a flask. She took the water and drained it down in one gulp. “Thank you,” she muttered.“What’s your name?” he asked. “Mildred,” she responded.Werewolf, right? She nodded. “Yes.” “Forgive my ill manners,” he said softly. “My name is Alex. I
