Mag-log in(Mia’s POV)
“Oh, Mia, that is a bad thing to say when you are meeting someone for the first time. This is Liam, Luis, and Leon. Leon is the oldest of the triplets and Alpha David’s first son, while Luis is the second, and Liam is the last-born. They are triplets, popularly called ‘Triple L.’ Unfortunately, their mother, Luna Esther, died after their birth. So, they are our upcoming Alphas.” My mother smiled, introducing the triple bad boys to me as I glared at them. Mom turned to face the Triple L and said, “Triplets L, meet my only daughter, Mia Anderson. She came back from London last month and recently joined our White Hills Academy. I’m sure you all must have seen her at the college. Please forgive my daughter’s mannerisms. She doesn’t understand what is going on here or how our pack functions.” I watched my mother speaking to the first of the triplets, Leon Oscar. “It’s fine, Chairwoman. Our father got busy with a meeting from the Dark Hills Pack Alpha. So, he sent us here to join you for dinner before he finishes his business. That way, it doesn’t look like he is declining your invitation to a family dinner,” Leon said, his magnetic voice making me scowl as I saw him flash his perfect white teeth at my mother. Leon wore a radiant smile, but he was a bully—I had seen him intimidating other students at the academy. Crossing my arms over my chest, I pouted and looked away from my mother to Leon. I clearly did not like him or his brothers, and I did not care who he was or what his business was with my mother. I wouldn’t have joined this so-called family dinner if my mother had not insisted. “That’s fine, Alpha Leon. Thank you for forgiving my little angel, Mia. Come on, apologize to the triplets. They are the same, and apologizing to one is the same as apologizing to all. They share the same mindset, views, love lives, and I know there’s a possibility the three of them will have one mate,” my mother said happily, her voice sweet as she blushed. My frown deepened at the mention of their “love lives.” “Mom, I am only apologizing out of respect for you—because you are my mother—but I do not feel the need to say sorry to these men,” I said, my voice sharp, my eyes glaring at the three bullies. They looked innocent in front of my mother when I glanced at them. “Mia, go on and say you’re sorry, and stop talking too much,” Mom scolded, her voice tinged with pleading as she eyed me to get along with these three. “Fine.” I straightened my posture and dropped my arms. “I’m sorry, Triple L,” I said, looking at Leon, the oldest of the triplets. They shared the same height, faces, and well-built bodies, but their smiles were different. Leon smirked, while Liam and Luis glared at me—only to smile when my mother looked their way. “It’s fine, Chairwoman. We’ll let it slide since Mia is going to be around and a part of our families. Besides, when you and my father marry, we will have Mia as our little sister,” Leon said, his lips curling into a sinister smile, his intense yellow eyes locking with mine. “What!” I gasped, my eyes widening in shock. “Mom, tell me the truth. You are not planning to marry their father, right?” I asked, knowing I could never tolerate living under the same roof as these three bullies. “Mia…” Mom said, her frown deepening. “You need to get along with Triple L. I know I haven’t spoken to you about my affairs, but I’ve been single for so long—ever since your father left me for London. Excuse us, Triple L. Please have a seat. Let me speak privately with my daughter before your father arrives.” “Alright, Chairwoman,” they replied, their eyes following me as Mom hastily grabbed my left hand and dragged me from the living room back toward the kitchen. “Mom, what’s going on? You can’t marry those boys’ father. I don’t want them as my stepbrothers, and I don’t approve of their father! They’re pretending to be nice to you—those boys are big-time bullies!” I cried aloud, my body trembling at the thought of living under the same roof as those three rascals. I can’t stand them for a minute. They bully students at the college, turn young women into servants, and do as they please. Most of the students fear them. When I first arrived at the college a month ago, I was stunned when my best friend, Vivian Adams, warned me to stay away from the three Alphas. I thought it was a joke until I saw with my own eyes how they bullied people. “Mia, you just got back to the White Hills area barely a month ago. How can you say that about Triple L? They are the nicest boys and protect our people. I understand you might not like them because they’re boys, but they are our Alphas—they cannot possibly bully you. Please, they will take care of you as their little sister from now on, especially once their father and I are married,” Mom said pleadingly, wanting me to see her side and accept those boys into our lives. But I yelled. “No way, Mom! I will not accept them. They cannot be my stepbrothers, and you shouldn’t marry their father. There are other men out there—but not these boys’ father.” “Mia,” my mother’s gaze dropped. “It’s fine. I’ll tell their father I can’t marry him, since you don’t want them as your stepbrothers.” My mother looked dejected, heartbroken, and I felt so guilty for depriving her of happiness. My father had left her so long ago, always traveling for his research. I thought my mother deserved to be happy. Her face reddened with unshed tears and disappointment, so I calmed down and asked, “Mom, do you love their father? What about Dad? What if I call Dad and ask him to return?” My mother looked at my face and blinked away her tears. “It’s been sixteen years since your father left the pack. He flew away with you and only brought you back. Why didn’t he return with you? He sent you back alone because he doesn’t want me. I can’t keep waiting for him, and I already rejected him—even if he wouldn’t accept my rejection. But…” My mother hesitated, walking up to me and taking my hands. “I love you more, Mia. You’re my only child, and your happiness matters most to me. I know you grew up away from the pack, so you might find it hard to get along with everyone here. But I want you to know the Triple L are not as bad as you think. And their father is a kind man, too. “But if you don’t like them and don’t want us to be a family, I’ll explain it to their father. After all, you are my baby, and your happiness—and fitting in with the pack—is what’s important to me,” Mom said sadly, and I felt her pain. “It’s fine, Mom. Maybe I overreacted, but I want you to be happy and to remarry. You can’t stay single forever—I’m not even sure Dad would listen to me and return. But I don’t like those boys, and I don’t know if their father is like them, I just… I can’t stand them,” I said, my frown deepening. My mother smiled. “It’s fine. Let’s have dinner with them; besides, this is their first time visiting me. It wouldn’t be polite to send them away. After all, they didn’t approve of me as their stepmother, until their father proposed. So you’re not the only one with objections,” Mom said, laughing softly. “Just don’t insult them—they can discipline you as our Alphas. They’re like our superiors here. Alright?” Mom opened the kitchen door for me to return to the living room and join those three bullies for dinner. It was already past 6 p.m. on a Friday evening. My mother hadn’t gone to work—she’d ordered her driver to drop me at school in the morning while she stayed home preparing for our Alpha’s visit. “Alright, Mom,” I agreed, walking out of the kitchen and into the dining room to meet the three bad boys, who sat in different chairs, gazing at me. Surprisingly, they had already taken their seats around the dining table and were waiting for Mom and me to serve them dinner.Mia's POV:"What's wrong with you, Mia? You gave me a scare right now. Not only me, but the Triple L too, with the way you ran away from the dining table," Mom said, her tone laced with disappointment as I walked out of the bathroom and headed to the bed in my room to sit down.I was still overwhelmed. How did I admit the truth to all of them?Mom left me and went into my closet, and she came out with the gift box that Grandma Khloe had asked me to go and wear."Tell me, Mia. What stops you from wearing this to find your real mate? It's not too late to still wear it," Mom said, as she pulled the box open to reveal the pink diamond necklace nestled within."I do not want to wear it, Mom," I said, and she peered at me with disappointment."Why? Why don't you want to wear it? It will help you find your mate. Go on," she encouraged me to take it out and put it on around my neck, but I refused."I don't need this to find my mate. I have already found my mate," I said, and my mother gasped
Mia's POV:Standing up from the dining table, I turned to face Grandma Khloe."I don't want to wear it," I said, and the room fell silent."Why? Don't you want to find your mate? Have you found him and don't want to tell us?" She asked, her voice filled with concern for me, but I felt bad that I was lying to my grandmother."It's complicated, Grandmother. I want to finish my studies first before I find my mate. I don't want to get distracted," I said, my tone soft as my eyes darted to peer at Leon and his brothers. Their eyes were fixated on me too."Mia," Grandma Khloe spoke softly, her anger calming down as she said, "I know that you are anxious about finding your mate, but I promise you, you can also grow together. You don't have to keep your mate in the dark. He will love you, please, go and bring it and wear it. It's for the best," Grandma insisted, and Alpha David called to my attention."Mia, do you have the necklace in your possession? Although I am not in support of witchcraf
**Mia's POV**The next day, I was startled awake by the loud noise that cheered, "Happy Birthday, Mia!" The voices squealed in my room, and my eyes fluttered open to see everyone in my room. They wore white pajamas, and I thought it was a dream.Alpha David stepped forward with a bottle of wine in his hand and said, "Cheers to the good life, Mia. I wish you happiness as you join adulthood.""Thank you, Alpha," I squealed as I watched Alpha David pour a drink and take a shot.Mom happily walked up next to my bed and said, "Happy birthday to you, my baby girl. I am happy to see the young, beautiful woman that you have grown up to become, and I wish you eternal happiness.""Thanks, Mom," I replied as my mother stepped back because she couldn't drink due to her pregnancy. I watched Alpha Liam step forward next."Happy birthday, little sister. I wish you a lovely birthday ahead," Luis said, his deep voice making me smile on the bed, and I replied, "Thank you."Liam came forward next, his f
**Mia's POV**Striding downstairs, I caught sight of the family seated around the dining table. The delicious smell of food hung in the air, and I gulped hard as my throat began to salivate. What surprised me the most was seeing Veronica seated next to Leon at the table, with Luis and Liam next to her. They had saved a seat for me at the head, opposite my mother.I tried to ignore them as I walked towards the table and greeted Alpha David. He was wearing a yellow shirt and black trousers, and seemed like he had just returned before being invited to have dinner with us."Good evening, Dad," I greeted Alpha David with a smile as I settled across from my mother."Thank you, Mia. How was your day at the Academy, and with getting ready for your birthday party tomorrow? Have you found your mate?" Alpha David asked softly, and I tried so hard not to look at the Triple L.I could feel their gaze crawling over my skin, so I gulped hard and replied, "I am still searching for my mate." I thought
Leon's POV:Walking out of Mia's room with Veronica, I knew that the sight of my brothers with Veronica would affect Mia a lot, but if we didn't do this, she would be unconcerned of how her actions were affecting us too."Thank you, Alpha Leon. I hadn't expected to share your room with you," Veronica said, giggling but I made it clear to her. "We are friends, Veronica. So it's nothing bad if you share a room with me. You're like my sister and I want to see you become better."Veronica nodded and asked, "How about you take me as your girlfriend, Leon? Please… I want you and I am not a kid anymore.""No, not now. Let's focus on helping you improve with your grades, okay. And I will take care of you. When you pass the exam, then we can take our relationship to the next level," I said, not wanting her to think that I am using her to get back at Mia."Really? Aww. Then I will study hard," she said, her lips curling up with a smile while I showed her to the closet to keep her bag."Leon, ho
Mia's POV:I wasn't happy with the way Alpha Leon cut my mother off. Even though he was the Alpha after his dad, he had no right to speak to my mother like that."Alpha Leon, I don't care if you want Veronica to share your room too, but don't speak so lowly of my mother," I challenged him and he smirked."I am not, I respect your mother, but you have to respect my decision too. Come on, babe," he rose from the couch and lifted Veronica in his arms.Couldn't she walk with her legs? Why must he carry her like she was his girlfriend?Veronica purred and hugged Leon, resting her head against his chest. The doorbell rang as I stood watching them walk past me.I tried to act like I was not affected by the sight of it all, but I was.As the door swung open, Godwin stepped in with a black box and handed it over to Luis, before he turned to face my mother."Good evening, Aunt.""Yeah, welcome Godwin," my mother replied with a forced smile, while Godwin didn't even spare me a glance at all. He
*Veronica's POV*"Hi, Vero, what's up?" Naomi asked, her voice bubbling with excitement."Where are you?" I asked, stepping inside the house and securing my gift in the safe."I'm at home, getting ready to go clubbing tonight," she said, and I rolled my eyes."Your parents let you go clubbing? Naom
Mia's POV:As I got out of the car, I wished Mr. Andrew goodnight before making my way to my father's house. As I arrived at the front door, I rang the doorbell, and my mother's maid unlocked the door for me."Welcome back," she said softly, and I smiled and made my way into the living room.To my
Veronica's POV."Ugh! I cannot believe that Alpha Leon will ask me to turn back home. Why will he do that, Godwin?" I asked my brother, as he drove his car down to our grandparents' house.Mom and Dad have already informed us that Grandma Khloe and Grandpa Emmanuel were back from their anniversary
Leon's POV;Watching Mia return from wherever she went to made me stare at her in shock. She appeared so beautiful like an angel as the yellow sundress made her look ethereal. However, I was disgusted by the fact that I was going to be Veronica's mate and not just that, Chairwoman Lucy believed tha
