(Thyri's Pov) Mistaken

“Damien, Damien, Look I’m sorry,” I followed the amazing scent of lavender and sandalwood to a door. As I opened it repeating myself, I was not ready to see Damien coming out of the shower, with a towel around his waist and a naked woman sitting at the foot of the bed. I couldn’t handle it, the pain in my chest was worse than any pain I endured. My eyes went wide, and I ran down the stairs and out of the front door. As tears streamed down my face, I finally reached the front gate but a huge black wolf stopped me in my tracks growling. I tried to turn direction but it jumped in front of me and growled again, I slipped on the gravel and went down backward, hitting my head as I blacked out.

         “Thyri, Darling, please be okay.” I heard someone say, but my eyes were heavy.

         “She’ll be okay Dear,” I heard another voice

         “Alpha King, the Luna Queen’s vital’s are normal, she is slightly concussed but she will be okay, she has to take it easy. Her body it’s… You need to have her rest.” The last voice said. Luna Queen, oh Goddess, the new Luna Queen is here, I have to get up, I have to greet the Alpha King and Luna Queen.

         “I’m sorry Thyri, please.” I now recognized that voice, it was Damien, why is my hand tingling, did the doctor cut it off? Did I lose it? Great, can my life get any worse?

         “Alpha King, can I get anything for you or the Luna Queen?” Questioned someone it was then I opened my eyes and tried to sit up.

         “Al..pha K..ing” I stuttered, my eyes fluttering. “Pl.. Please forgive me,” I bowed my head.

         “No, my Queen it is I that must ask for forgiveness, it was not as it seemed,” Damien spoke as he gripped my hand tighter, which sent shocks through my entire body. 

         “Shut up Damien, you hurt me, I trusted you.” I turned my head to him, focusing my blurry vision, on his face. My other hand went up to clutch the back of my head. I winced when I touched the bandage around it. I shut my eyes and sucked air between clenched teeth.

         “Take it, easy Darling, please,” Damien brought my hand up to his lips and kissed the back of it which sent another shock through me.

         “Don’t tell me to take it easy, you prick. Telling me we are mates, then I catch you with two women all over you downstairs, and again in your bedroom the next day.” I opened my eyes and stared right at him. “You are a liar, I want to speak to the Alpha King.” I looked around the room to find no one there, but Damien and an older woman. 

        “You are Darling,” He answered with a condescending attitude while smirking.

        “What?” My eyes widened as he intertwined our fingers.

        “Boy,” The old woman smacked Damien upside the head. “You mean you didn’t tell her?”

        “Ouch, Nanny” He grabbed the back of his head, turning his face to her. “Not in front of my mate, please.” He said softly which made me chuckle.

        “You Idjit,” She smacked him again before turning back to me. “Yes, Hun he is telling you the truth, he is the Alpha King, My name is Suzette Masters, and I am this idjit’s nanny.” She smacked his head again, without taking her eyes off me. “You may call me Nanny if you like, you are Thyri? What a lovely name, for such a lovely Queen.” She smiled and I felt the same sparks as before when Damien kissed my hand.

       “Me? A Queen? No, no, you are mistaken. I’m no one, a nobody. I can’t rule, everyone hates me, please you must pick someone else.” I begged Damien as I felt my eyes start to water, and my legs start moving up and down.

       “I’ll take my leave,” Nanny Suzette said, as she turned to walk out the door.

       “Damien, Alpha King, please, you must reject me, you can pick your own Luna Queen.” I struggled to say as I started hyperventilating and my legs didn't stop moving up and down.

       “Thyri, calm down. You are going to pass out. Darling deep breaths, please, the doctor said you must rest.” He then got into the bed and began to hold me against his chest when he saw my face getting redder. “Shh... I’ve got you, baby, I’m here, I’ve got you” His soothing voice and his warm embrace instantly calmed me, I started to relax and melt into his arms, and as I closed my eyes, I could do nothing but cry. When I finally stopped, he kissed the top of my head and pulled me closer to his chest. I didn’t push away, I stayed like that for hours, I had never just been held and it felt wonderful. I would cry randomly, and he would let me, he didn’t get mad, he didn’t stop me, he would just hold me, and let me cry.
