Chapter Three

Amid the busy airport terminal, she was trying to navigate her way through the crowd when she saw someone approaching her swiftly. He was trying to maneuver his way through the crowds and seemed to be in a hurry. Panic crossed Maya's face as she tried to avoid him, but a collision was inevitable.

"Watch out!" The figure reached out to catch her, and before she could fall, he wrapped his arms around her, helping her regain her balance. His silver hair, reminiscent of the moon, brushed against her forehead and tickled. Once Maya had found her footing, she sighed and turned to face him, but as soon as she saw his face, she froze. He looked incredibly handsome.

"Oh... My flight... I'm sorry for bumping into you!" Maya frantically bowed as she quickly grabbed her bag and turned to leave; if she wasted any more time, she would miss her flight. Before the man could utter a word, Maya dashed off, and the silver-haired man glanced in the direction she had gone, offering a small smile before looking away.

"Boss, do you know her?" His assistant, who had just arrived, asked, and the man shook his head. "I don't, but... She is very cute." He paused, but after a few seconds, he turned away. "Let's start going; otherwise, we might miss our own flight as well." And just like that, something began to weave around them.

"All passengers are reminded to fasten their seatbelts; we are now cleared for takeoff." Maya drew a deep breath as soon as she heard the pilot's voice coming from the speakers. Not only was she experiencing a great deal of nausea, but she was also very exhausted and worn out. As the plane started moving on the tarmac, she couldn't help but twitch her lips, and as soon as it left the ground, her hands went to her seat and began gripping it hard, all the while being extremely careful that her fingers wouldn't rip the seats apart.

"Are you feeling okay?" Maya smiled and shook her head in response to the concerned question from the woman seated next to her, "Since this will be my first trip in the air, I must admit that I am a little anxious." Maya smiled and answered to the woman, who then nodded her head. As she turned her head away and gazed at the scenery outside the window, Maya couldn't help but unconsciously place a hand on her already growing stomach.

She is already four months along and yet, Vivian was still after her.

After Maya had left, Vivian went to the hospital to inquire with Doctor M about the reason Maya had gone there. Doctor M revealed to Vivian the very same information that Maya had requested to be shared with anyone who decided to pry into the situation. It was a lucky break that Maya already had signed documents proving that the only reason she went to the hospital was to get therapy.

However, Maya did not want to lose any time in letting Vivian discover that she was pregnant, so with the assistance of Doctor M, who was aware of her predicament, she was able to obtain a visa to travel to a different country in the hopes that Vivian would forget about her there.

"What gives her the right to pursue me anyway? What she desires has already been granted to her." Maya murmured to herself while looking out of the window.

Vivian's fear that she would return and put their relationship in jeopardy with her child is quite interesting. Or is there something else going on that she isn't aware of at this time? Whatever the case may be, it is irrelevant at this point because she has no intention of returning. She had completely forgotten about the stranger that she had met at the airport and she had no idea of what their meeting would bring.

"So, what you're saying is that she left the country?" Vivian remarked this while sitting with her legs crossed and dangling over each other while she grinned. She gave the glass of wine in her hands a gentle shake before focusing her attention on the captivating movement of the red liquid inside. She used her long fingernails to gently tap on the fragile glass, and she narrowed her eyes as the glass shattered in an instant.

Vivian let out a sinister chuckle as she stared at the floor after the wine had spilled all over it. The color of the wine was strikingly similar to that of blood.

"What about the things I instructed you to search for? Have you obtained any new information on them?" She inquired of the individual who was standing behind her, and the individual gave a slight nod before responding, "Yes. It has been decided that we will get together in one month."

"What, a month? Is that the best you could come up with?"

"I beg your pardon, Lady Vivian, but even though I insisted that he comes to meet you three days from today, he refused to respond and instead insisted that you both meet after one month has passed. He informed me that I should inform you that he might not be the one coming to get you because he has other things to deal with rather than immediately responding to your every beck and call. He also told me to inform you that he might send somebody else instead to speak with you."

"Ha… To hell with this jerk." As Vivian left the lounge, she muttered something under her breath and then continued walking. "Well, meeting me one month later can also work. She will be surprised because she believes that I have already forgotten about her. This will catch her off guard." But at that moment, a gloomy frown appeared on her lips, and the creases between her brows were drawn together, as if she were worrying about something. “How dare you get pregnant under my watch? You won't get away with this."

"Ugh…" Maya threw up into the plastic bag that was delivered to her right after she had an episode. She did not appear to be in very good health; her eyes were red, her face was pale, and she had a small breathing problem. Because it was her first time flying and she is also pregnant, you can imagine the discomfort that she had felt throughout the flight. It was a difficult experience for her. She gulped hard, her red eyes darting around, as the smells of this unfamiliar land washed over her like water.

“Phew…” She took a deep breath and started walking the opposite direction of where she came from, since Doctor M had found a little house for her where she could live in the meantime, she only needs to get a job and very quick at that.

“I’m sorry but could you tell me the direction to Rock Avenue? The house number is…”
