Riley's heart is still pounding with fear. Alpha David's words kept repeating themselves in her mind on a loop.

Despite his threats, Riley refused to submit to that old leery man. So she ran out of her small room with the sound of his angry feet pounding after her. He cursed at her and yelled at her to stop, but she didn't. She ran as fast as her leg could carry her. The pack house is dead quiet apart from a few pack warriors standing guard here and there.

The pack warriors tried to catch her as per their Alpha's command, but she slipped inside a dark room and hid inside. She looked around the room and found a window. She thought of jumping from the window but found it locked. Her shoulders sagged feeling helpless.
