Chapter 22

Alice acted like the scorned woman she was. Her divorce was a tremendous battle she fought fiercely. Her lawyer was a beast. The final agreement was drawn and ready for her signature. Alice never batted an eyelid or looked at Oliver, who was sitting at the same table across from her with his lawyer.

“Shall we proceed?” Oliver’s lawyer, Buck, spoke.

“Of course,” Alice’s lawyer Craig nodded.

Oliver was glaring at Alice for good reason. He was about to be signing off and agreeing to settle a large sum on top of a lot of demands Alice wanted. Alice took advice from Oliver's mother and made him pay.

“I will read the contents of this agreement.” Buck cleared his throat, clearly weary.

“Let’s get this over with. I have things to do.” Oliver snarled, glaring at Alice, who smirked and held her chin up.
