Chapter 26

Vincent had only been teasing Alice by reading her diary. He didn't expect it to lead to this. Alice was straddling her and leaned close. His mind had misread the situation because she had gone for the kill.

This was not a drill. The kiss was happening. Alice had pressed her lips on him and he stopped acting like everything about today was merely him giving Alice the best memorable birthday. They were kissing, and this was not part of the plan.

Did he care?

Hell no. Vincent grabbed the back of Alice's neck and took over the kiss. The need and want were visible from the way their tongues moved. Thing were going too fast.


Vincent quickly stood and moved Alice across from him, his heart pounding. He quickly went to have a seat to hide his friction. Alice's mouth was swollen, and she was looking at him in confusion and he understood her unasked question.

Why stop?
