My head was spinning against the beat of the house music. The pulsing thump became distant to my ears as the man with a high pitched and oily voice dragged me up the stairs.

"Pretty girl, come upstairs with me. I guarantee it will be amazing," he promised. My skin crawled even as the drugs he'd put in my drink dulled my motor skills and senses.

I struggled against the overweight man on each step. Halting his progress as best I could. Sweat poured through his pores from his forehead to his hands, but he was determined to get me to a room.

The longer I struggled the weaker I became. I didn't want to give up but I began to feel really powerless and helpless. The drugs were winning against my will power.

"I advise you not to resist, pretty girl. I am really good at this. I don't mind if you pass out but I know you'll enjoy it. I will definitely rock your world."

The man continued to say vulgar things like that. I couldn't help but shiver with disgust as he patted my butt with his hand to help lift me onto the final step and third floor landing.

The touch made my hair stand on end.

Still, the revulsion inside me could not stop what was about to happen. We'd gone up three flights of stairs, into the hallway. The rooms up here were high-class and tidy. But, I knew that once I entered one of them, I would be stepping into a hellish nightmare.

He began unbuttoning my shirt. His rough fingers and knuckles scraped the exposed skin from my neck to my chest. I saw the hunger and greed for my creamy white skin in his eyes as they filled with lust.

I knew he could already smell the wolf on me, which made him more aroused. He even started touching my thighs under my dress.

I hated the feeling.

I don't know how I ended up here. But, I did know that someone must have set me up.

I thought of Sophia and remembered getting a call from her two hours ago. She told me that she wouldn't be working with me any more because she had been promoted. Her boss was handsome and the job was more promising than at the hotel.

She even prayed to the moon goddess for me that everything would be alright when she left. So, I knew it could not be her, she had always been so kind to me.

However, there were so many nasty comments from the other girls around me. They laughed at me for being a lowly omega and looked down on me ever since I became the new hotel receptionist. They were jealous that my tips were higher than theirs. I even heard them talking behind my back saying that I must have been having sex with the men.

Could it have been them? Would they do this to me because of jealousy?

No, not with the manager watching our every move. But, what about the manager? Right, the manager!

When I rejected this awful man's wine earlier, the manager had scolded me. He said that I shouldn't treat the customers like that. I should be happy and drink the wine given to me. I thought I saw something dark in those crooked, sly eyes behind the black-framed glasses of the manager.

I had seen the man hand him some money, and even as I became weak from the drugs put in the wine, I saw the man pat the manager appreciatively on the shoulder.

Was it him? It had to be him! But why? Why would he do such a thing to me?

I did not have time to think about all of that. The man was already in front of his room. He pulled out his room key.

No way! I had to escape. I didn't want to become his plaything!

I exerted all my meager strength to break free from the man's restraints. I pulled against him with all my might.

Once!

Twice!

Three times!

It worked!

I managed to wriggle and slip my thin wrists from his sweaty hands and get free. I tried to flee but my legs felt too weak to hold me up and I fell to the ground. My knees crashed into the floor. My arms and face smacked against the ground.

"Stupid b*tch!" The man cried out to me fiercely and spat at me. He slapped me as I tried to get up until I was laid out on the ground.

The man successfully opened the door to the room. He was no longer patient. He grabbed my hair and tightened his grip on my wrist and pulled me from the floor towards the room.

I still resisted as much as I could. However, the more I resisted, the more intense the pain in my scalp and wrist became.

I was getting closer to the room.

It hurt so much.

I was too weak to break away from him.

I clawed helplessly at the ground, almost trying to dig my nails into the floor.

"You're so beautiful and you're going to belong to me soon! I can't wait to enjoy your fantastic body. Oh, my. Look at your legs. They're so long and fair. I really like them..." I felt something rough and greasy brush against my legs, which was really disgusting.

The man laughed triumphantly. I was already half dragged into the room. My head was spinning. The man's fat face and the way he held my socks to his nose and sniffed them made me want to throw up.

Everyone said that I was beautiful. But, ever since I was young, my beauty seemed to be more of a curse.

My adoptive mother beat me, my adoptive father coveted me, my colleagues mocked me, and now I was being forced to have sex with this disgusting man.

Why was this happening to me? What had I ever done to deserve being punished like this?

I became much too weak to fight anymore and gave into feelings of despair and helplessness. There was nothing I could do as I began to black out.

Suddenly I felt the fat man release my hair and wrist, and large, powerful arms held me securely, supporting my waist.

I leaned into my hero's powerful body and relaxed in the comfort of his warm scent. I mumbled to this unknown man for help, "Help! Please help me!"

"Don't be afraid." The man took me in his arms and bent his head to my ear to comfort me. His voice shook me to my core in a wave of pleasure that washed all through me.

"F*ck! How dare you hit me?" I heard the fat man yelling.

He must have been knocked down by the strong man who came just now. I turned my head and watched as he got up. I saw him take out a dagger from his waist. It flashed a cold silver light as he pounced over to us.

My rescuer didn't put me down. Instead, he said, "Hold me tight." Then, he flew up. I was shocked as I quickly wrapped my arms around him and clung to him for dear life. I saw that he didn't use his hands. He just kicked the dagger away with one foot and kicked the bad guy in the face with his other foot. The fat man was sent flying to the wall and fell down to the ground with a plop. He then started wailing.

In my secret dreams, I always thought that I was like Cinderella, hoping that a prince would save me from my life as a lowly omega. At this moment, the man I held onto seemed to have come out of nowhere and was just like my prince.

He lifted me securely, and I sank into his arms. Listening to his steady heartbeat, I felt a sense of peace. Because of the drug, I was getting increasingly weak, but I desperately wanted to see his face. I forced myself to stay awake and finally opened my eyes, but all I could make out was his silver hair.

"Close your eyes." His voice rumbled in his chest and I nestled closer to him. In the next second, he lowered his head to kiss my eyes. I was shocked and quickly closed my eyes.

Then he smiled at me and said in his deep rumble, "Good girl."

My heart beat much faster when I heard him speak. It was probably because no one had ever spoken to me in such a caring and warm voice.

Swish! Suddenly, I heard the sound of blades cutting through flesh.

Warm liquid splattered on my face. The person raised his hand to wipe it off for me and prayed in a low voice. The only words I could make out before I lost consciousness were, "Please forgive me, moon goddess."

When I regained consciousness, I felt the sun on my eyelids. The sunlight forced my eyes open. It was already the next day.

The first thing I saw was a tall frame with broad shoulders and straight back. The man stood in front of the French window. The sunlight gilded him and made my savior look like an angel.

I couldn't take my eyes off him.

"Are you awake?" He turned around, and I saw his features. He was more handsome than I had expected.

His gaze was intense, which made me blush. I blinked rapidly and looked away from him.

I remembered what he'd done to save me and was very grateful to him.

"Thank you," I said.

He seemed to shrug nonchalantly and said, "You're welcome." When he stepped closer to me, I caught the distinctive scent of him. It was the scent of the aristocracy.

"Thank you." I said again. He had reached my bed and I cast my eyes downward. I dared not to look at him. He lifted his hand and pinched my chin, forcing me to look at him into his fierce blue eyes.

"Is this how you usually look at people?" His deep voice rumbled in a magnetic coldness that made me shiver.

I didn't understand him. He was as handsome as I'd seen and felt last night, but maybe because I was sober now, I felt that he was slightly different now.

"Let me introduce myself. My name is Krell. The alpha of the Erindo pack."

I was almost overwhelmed. The Erindo pack was the most powerful pack! And he was the alpha of it! What a big shot!

"Aren't you going to introduce yourself?" He smiled in a nice way. His eyes were intense. He looked kind of indifferent but I could feel that he had a lot he wanted to say from his blue eyes.

"Mia." I was flustered by his gaze and lowered my head once again, not daring to look at him.

"I know." I could hear the wicked smile in his voice.

I felt like he was teasing me and it made me a little angry, but as soon as I looked up, I saw his eyes, which looked back at me as if he knew everything about me. I shivered again and couldn't help but lower my head. Why didn't I realize last night that he could also be dangerous?

He started to move closer to me and I felt his scent grow stronger.

His voice was clear and full of temptation. "Mia, Mia." He called my name twice, from his lips it rang out pleasingly, just like a song.

"Mia, look at me." There seemed to be some kind of magic in his gentle command. Without hesitation, I looked up and met the heat of his blue eyes. There seemed to be a lot of lust behind them as well.

"I've been paying attention to you for a long time." His nose was touching mine, and his hand was placed beside my leg. I didn't know if it was intentional or not, but when his fingers touched my skin, my body trembled.

Krell had only touched me once, and I felt shy but I also wanted more of it.

I knew better. He was an alpha, and I was only an omega. There was no way he could want me.

What was wrong with me?
