Falling for the alpha

You arrive back at campus; you rush to the football field to find Nate. He looks worried. Nate spots you and gives you a sweet smile, you wave to him, you head for a seat and watch the rest of practice. He jogs over to you after practice is over, he wraps you in a hug.

“I was so worried, what happened, tell me everything.” He looked at you panicked.

“Let’s go back to Beta and I’ll tell you.” You remarked. Nate follows you back, he quickly changes and places himself next to you on the bed.

“Who's behind the messages?” Nate asked, eagerly.

“Ella.” You remarked.

“What?” Nate stares at you.

“Taylor was blackmailing her.” You continued.

“Oh, and has Ella apologised?” Nate asked.

“Yeah, it's all good, I'm gonna kill Taylor though.” You added, just at the mention of Taylor's name your blood boils.

“So, the messages should stop now?” Nate asked, concerned.

“I hope so.” You remarked.

“Maybe everything can finally go the way we want it to.” Nate moves closer to you, love fills his eyes, he cups your cheek.

You allow Nate to kiss you, the fireworks you once felt towards him have returned, your stomach knots with butterflies, it's perfect.

“Does this mean you're mine again?” Nate beams at you.

“Not quite, I still have a couple things I need to do but we can talk later.” You grinned at him.

“I’ll look forward to it.” Nate smiled.

You smile at him and head out; you head over to Sam's spot to clear your head. You notice someone already standing at the cave entrance, a familiar blonde.

“Madison?” You gasped, standing still shocked.

“Olivia." She turns to look at you.

“I want to apologise.” You begin but Madison cuts you off.

“Don't Sam was a bad person, I was angry he couldn't meet his daughter, but I realised how awful he was, I come here sometimes to remember the good Sam.” Madison explained.

“I understand, how are you doing?” You asked, hoping to build bridges.

“Pretty good actually, I got a job that lets me work from home so I can take care of Laila.” Madison explained.

“That's great." You smiled, sweetly at her.

“What about you? Have you and Nate worked things out?” Madison grinned.

“How did you know?” You stare at her dumbfounded.

“We might not have been speaking but I've been checking you picster page. you haven't posted anything with him for a while.” Madison explained.

“We took a break, after Sam and mom I was struggling really badly, I needed to clear my head, figure everything out.” You replied.

“Ella told me about Taylor, have you confronted her?” Madison questioned.

“Should I confront her?” You asked, skeptically.

“Yes! She needs taken down a peg or too.” Madison replied, giving you a small laugh.

“I could speak to her.” You remarked.

“Make me proud little sis!” Madison gives you a hug and walks away with Laila, you head back to campus to find Taylor. You stand a moment with tears in your eyes, Madison called you, her sister! You spot Taylor and Brianna across the quad gossiping. You take a deep breath and approach the girls.

“What do you want?” Taylor hisses, her voice cuts into you.

“We need to talk?” You snapped back at her.

“No, we don’t, I hear you and Nate have split though.” She lets out a loud laugh.

“I can’t wait to get my flirt on with Nate!” She added, laughing more.

“Listen here you cheap Malibu barbie, stay away from me and Nate, I mean it, you're not the only one who can dish out threats.” You snapped at her; rage filled the pit of your stomach.

“I’d be very careful who you speak to with that tone.” Taylor warned.

“You’re a snake and Nate would never want you!” You declared.

“We shall see.” She smirked.

Taylor turns to leave; she stops a moment “See you at the pool party loser.” She smirked and walked away.

‘Pool party? Are people keeping me out of the loop on purpose?’

You watch as she walks away, you feel the rage simmering inside, the claws coming out, you retract them just like you practiced, you head back to Beta.
