Chapter Thirteen
Toby’s Point of View
While I waited for Violet, her dad started up a conversation with me. I knew, just by the questions he was asking, he was trying to figure me out, but I had nothing but the obvious to hide and I was smart enough to dodge questions I couldn’t or didn’t want to answer;
‘So, How long have you lived here then, Toby?’ I never actually told him I wasn’t born and raised here, but he was right to assume.
‘About 10 years, I lived in Louisiana before that. It was a small town, I wanted to get out, do something more exciting with my life’.
‘You don’t sound southern’. Lisa, Violet's mother suddenly added. She had been pretty qu
Chapter FourteenToby’s Point of ViewThat's what I wanted to say but I refrained. I hadn’t shared that little detail with the police for obvious reasons, but it killed me inside to see Violet suffering, worrying, scared he would come back, and I knew he wouldn’t.‘I just do’. It was all I could say to her. ‘Listen, i have to go’.‘What? Why?!’‘I have to go and meet my friends, I’m sorry, but... Are you free tomorrow?’ She nodded. ‘Good, I’ll text you, ok?’‘Sure’. I could tell she was sad again. Against my better judgment, I leaned down and kissed her
Author's Note: Just a reminder, this is an ongoing story. There are many, many more chapters to come :) I upload a chapter at a time, when the story is finished, you’ll know as I will mark it with either ‘’The End’’ or ‘’To be Continued’’ depending on if I feel it can be continued with a sequel instead of making the book too long. Thank you! :)________________________________________________________________Chapter FifteenToby’s Point of View**The Next Afternoon**Last night the guys did as I asked and relocated that creep's body to an isolated spot on the beach. When I met up with them, Ryder made the ‘’anonymous call’’ to the police. We wanted them to find the body as soon as
Chapter SixteenToby’s Point of ViewWalking into the bar, I was happy to see that there weren’t many people here today. We went and sat down at the table in the corner, a bit more out of the way. I’m sure she just wanted a nice, quiet drink, and if this is what she wanted to celebrate the fact she feels like she's got some of her confidence back, then it's the least I can do to help her……Plus, I wanted to talk to her about some stuff that was on my mind too.I asked Violet what she wanted to drink and headed over to the bar to order. When I returned, I sat down next to her in the booth and smiled;‘So, I wanted to talk to you about some stuff’. She put a straw in her drink and t
Chapter SeventeenBy the time I arrived back at the hotel, I realized what a mistake I had made, but nothing was going to change. Even if I had told him I liked him, Even if he told me to my face he liked me back, he still had a girlfriend and that wasn’t going to change.Walking into the hotel suite, It was empty. That seems to be a common thing these days. I mean, it was fine, they watched me like a hawk and now they don’t. I much prefer it this way.Closing and locking the door, I went and sat down on the sofa, only then noticing a note left on the coffee table in front of me. I grabbed it and gave it a quick read.It was just from mum explaining that they had gone for a date night and wouldn’t be back till late. Again, late r
Warning: This chapter contains a detailed sex scene between Toby and Violet._____________________________________________________________Chapter EighteenThe kiss seemed to last forever but all too soon, he let me go and stepped back. I felt myself blush and I had to look away, feeling self-conscious. I stepped to the side, letting him in and closed the door again. I leaned against it and found the confidence to look up at him.‘Hey’. It was all I could think of to say. He chuckled slightly and I couldn’t help copying him. ‘So.. you got my text then?’‘Yeah, I got it’.‘I’m sorry, I know it was wrong of me but... I can’t
Chapter NineteenI rolled over and snuggled up to Toby, but the blinding sunlight shining through the curtains made it next to impossible to get any more sleep. Groaning, I rubbed my eyes and blinked a few times as I got used to the brightness.Still squinting, I looked down at the sleeping man laid next to me and couldn’t help but smile. He looked so peaceful... And freaking adorable. Turning over, I grabbed my phone off the side and checked the time. It was nearly 10.We had slept in.I wasn’t too bothered, until…Shit! My parents.I threw the covers off and got out of bed, grabbing my discarded pyja
Chapter Twenty Toby’s Point of View As soon as I left the room, My mind went into overdrive thinking about everything. Yesterday was like a whirlwind. I broke up with Georgie and in the hours that followed, I was sleeping with Violet. Sure, it happened fast, but it just felt… right. When I was with her… making love to her, it was like something clicked in my brain. Sure there was an age difference and we didn’t live in the same place but... When I'm with her, that stuff doesn't matter and I refuse to think about it now and ruin my good mood. I was happy, genuinely very happy. My ha
Chapter Twenty OneGeorgie’s Point of ViewThe girls and I hung out for a little bit longer before I went and drove them to Joel and Ricks's house. Apparently, they had a double date tonight. They always do everything together, it's kinda creepy, but to each their own.These girls were on my side, I wasn’t about to start dropping truth bombs about their relationships until MINE is back on track.I sent Toby a message, telling him that I was sorry for how I acted before and that if he was free tonight to come over, we can discuss things then and sort out the house. It was like acid trying to actually type out what I wanted to say, but for the long run, I knew it had to be done to get him home.I sent it, and, ann
