And Marcus hung around me more than I wanted him to, he was always checking on me every time I so much as blinked too slow, but he didn’t push me about the vision. . He didn’t ask what I saw. For that, I was grateful. I needed to keep some things to myself.
I still hadn’t moved out. At first, I told myself it was because Marcus hadn’t gotten me the job yet, he’d said he wanted to wait until my English was better before risking it but if I was honest with myself, I knew there was another reason. And it was fear.
