There was complete silence in the meeting room. The department heads and managers stood before their boss with their heads bowed. They were all praying in their hearts that their boss would feel sorry for them and not fire them.

"I believe I asked you a question. I didn't call you all here to act like statues. If you are so fond of statues, then go outside my company and do this drama," Xavier said in an angry voice.

Hearing his words, a cold wind ran down the spines of the department heads and managers. One of the department heads gathered courage and looked at his boss, but looking at his boss's angry eyes, he immediately lowered his head and said in a nervous voice, "Boss, we made a mistake. Forgive us and give us one last chance. We will never make such a mistake again."

Xavier laughed bitterly after hearing the department head's words and said, "This is not a school where you will be given a chance to correct your mistakes. Because of this mistake of yours, I am on the verge of losing a project worth 500 crores. I had warned you all that I won't tolerate any mistakes in the paper, but still you made a mistake in your work and sent that paper to the client."

Boss, we will correct this mistake. We will start from the beginning again. Please don't fire us. If you fire us from your company, we will not get any job anywhere else, and we will have to take our families to the streets."

"This is not my consul, you made a mistake, you will suffer the consequences. Okay, since you want a last chance, I am giving you a last chance. The client has given you thirty-six hours to complete the project. Since you made a mistake in this work, you will remain in the office for the next 36 hours and complete the work. And your salary for this month will be deducted, and you will not be given any promotion for the next two years.

If you do not agree with this condition, then write down your resignation letter immediately and submit it to the table."

Everyone present was shocked to hear Xavier's words. It was quite impossible for someone to complete this project within 36 hours. However, they agreed for fear of losing their jobs and immediately left the meeting room.

After everyone left the meeting room, Xavier loosened his tie, leaned back in his chair, and closed his eyes.

His assistant, Ron, was still looking at his boss in surprise. He was 100% sure that the department heads and managers of the company would lose their jobs today.

Although Xavier's eyes were closed still, he felt Ron's graze at him. Xavier took a deep breath and asked, "If you have something to say, then say it instead of looking at me like that."

Ron was shocked again by the boss's words. He didn't understand how his boss realized that he was looking at him.

"I didn't think you would forgive them. It was very unlike you, boss," Ron uttered

Hearing Ron's words, Xavier smiled and looked at him. "Do you think that firing them would have made up for the damage they have done? It would have taken a long time to hire new department heads and managers, and this would have cost me a lot. What's more important is that it is not possible to complete this project without the department heads and managers in these thirty-six hours. They made a mistake, and they have been punished for this mistake."

Ron looked at him with surprised eyes after hearing Xavier's words. For a moment, he actually thought his cold-hearted boss felt sorry for them, so he gave them one last chance.

"Contact the client and tell them that they will get the project completed within 36 hours." Xavier got up from his chair and was about to walk out of the meeting room when his phone rang.

He took out his phone from his pocket and saw that Butler had called. Seeing Butler's call, Xavier frowned and received the call.

"Is everything okay? Where is Nick?" Xavier asked directly about his son.

From the other end of the phone, Butler said in a worried voice, "Sir, please come home quickly. Young Master again locked himself in his room. We have been knocking on the door for a long time, but he is not opening the door."

Hearing this, Xavier clenched his fists in anger and asked, Where is Jennifer?"

Butler then said in a hopeless voice, "She has gone to the party."

When the elevator reached the ground floor, and as soon as the door opened, Xavier was already running towards his car.

He got into his car and looked at Ron, then ordered, "Bring that woman to me in an hour."

Ron nodded, and Xavier started driving at full speed.

Jennifer was throwing money in the air. Seeing her luxurious dress and jewelry, the other girls in the club were burning with jealousy. Jennifer took out Xavier's credit card from her bag and threw it on the counter.

Looking at the bar attendant, she spoke up in an arrogant voice, "I will pay everyone's bill today. You can order whatever you want."

Hearing Jennifer's words, a laugh broke out in the club, and everyone clapped their hands in joy.

"Jennifer, you really managed to catch a golden fish that has unlimited wealth and super looks. I am so jealous of you, girl," Rose, Jennifer's friend, said.

Jennifer laughed at Rosa's words and said again in an arrogant voice, "This is nothing. Just let us get married once, then you will see my true form. I will become the wife of the richest man in this city. There will be no girl in the city as rich as me."

Rose smiled at her while picking up the money Jennifer had thrown in the air.
