Chapter 8

As soon as the car stopped in front of the house, Xavier got out of the car and ran inside the house.

When he entered the living room and looked towards his son's room, he saw the butler and the servants standing outside his room.

They were still requesting Nick to open the door again and again. Xavier wasted no time and ran towards the door. Seeing Xavier, the butler bowed his head in regret and stepped aside.

Xavier knocked gently on the door and said in a calm voice, "Nick, son, open the door. Daddy is here. Open the door and tell me what happened. Daddy will fix whatever the problem is. Daddy, promise, please open the door."

Xavier called several times, and there was no answer from inside. Then he put his ear to the door and tried to listen to the sounds inside.

Shortly after putting his ear to the door, Xavier's forehead wrinkled. He looked at the butler, clenched his fists, and said, "How long has he been locked in there?"

"Nearly an hour, Sir," The Butler uttered, looking down.

"Where is the master key? Bring it here immediately." Xaiver ordered immediately. He was getting a bad feeling.

Hearing Xavier's words, the butler took out the master key from his pants pocket and handed it to him. He had already brought the master key but did not dare to go inside.

Xavier immediately opened the door and entered, and what he suspected in his mind happened. Nick was not in the room.

Xavier checked every corner of the room and under the bed. Then he looked at the window and saw a long rope tied to the window that was hanging from the window to the garden.

Seeing this, the faces of the butler and servants turned pale with fear and worry. They were more worried than afraid because their young master was not in the room.

Xavier looked at the butler with a very angry voice and said, "Tell everyone to search every corner of the house and the garden, and if they find Nick, do not go near him, just inform me. I am sure he couldn't have gone outside the boundary."

As soon as Xavier finished speaking, the butler and the servant ran out of there and informed the bodyguards about this and started searching every corner of the boundary, but they couldn't find Nick anywhere.

Xavier was checking the CCTV footage on his laptop. After checking the footage, he punched the table hard because Nick had gone outside the boundary. Since there was no gatekeeper at the gate, he had left the house.

Xavier couldn't control his anger and threw the laptop on the floor, and ran out of the room. When he reached the living room, everyone came and stood in front of him with their heads bowed.

Xavier then looked at the security guards and ordered, "Alert everyone, Nick has gone outside the boundary. Tell everyone to search for him and don't let this news leak out. I don't want the media or the police to interfere in this matter, otherwise it will be dangerous for Nick"

After giving the order to the security guards, Xavier looked at the butler and the servant and said in a stern voice, "Is this how you are supposed to look after a child? Pray that I can find my son unharmed, or you will all suffer harsh consequences."

Saying this, he himself went out to look for his son.

On the other hand,

Amelia was coming home after submitting all the necessary documents with Jennifer. When she saw a cotton candy and colorful balloons shop on the side of the road, she stopped the car.

She came to the stall to buy cotton candy and balloons for the children. She stopped in front of the stall and placed her order.

When she turned around to leave after buying cotton candy and balloons for the children, her eyes fell on a child. The child was looking around with fearful eyes, and then looked at the cotton candy.

Judging by the children's clothes, it seemed that he was the son of a wealthy family, but what worried her was that there was no one around the child, and the child looked very scared.

Amelia felt pity for the child as she stood in front of the child; the child hid in fear in the bushes by the side of the road.

Still, she could clearly see the child sitting there trembling with fear. Seeing this, Amelia felt a sharp pain in her heart. She sat in front of the bush and said in a soft voice, "Dear, I will not harm you. I have come to give you this cotton candy and to take you to your mother. Please come out. Come with me, I will take you to your mother."

Amelia thought that the child would come out of the bushes after hearing this, but the child did not answer. He kept trembling in fear and hugged his knees.

Amelia softened her voice and said again, "I promise I will not harm you, dear. What is your name? Who did you come here with?"

She asked him several times, but the child did not answer anything. Then Amelia looked around worriedly, but she did not see anyone around.

Having no option, she then took out her phone from her bag to call the police. Just then, the child from the bushes called out in a trembling voice, "Mommy."

Hearing the child's voice, Amelia felt a sharp pain in her heart again, and her eyes filled with tears.

She did not understand why she felt so drawn to the child. She immediately answered, "Yes, baby, I will take you to your mother."

Saying this, Amelia extended her hand and waited for the child to hold her hand. After a while, the child came out of the bushes and placed her hand on her hand.

But as soon as he did, Amelia gasped in shock because the child had scratches all over his small hand.

Looking at the child in pain, Amelia unknowingly hugged the child to her chest, and the child rested its head on her shoulder.

They both kept silent as they found peace in each other's arms.
