Chapter Two

Four hours later I finally made it to Rhode Island. I was bouncing from joy, not literally of course. I took my luggage down and dragged it behind me as I walked off the plane. I entered Rhode Island airport and I followed the arrows that would lead me outside. I was so excited; I would finally see my older brother.

My brother and I are very close. Always have been since we were kids. He was always there when I needed him, but he also bullied me while growing up; but he wouldn't be a big brother if he didn't do that. My brother was thirty years old now, so I am five years younger than he is.

I walked outside and pulled out my cellphone. I turned my phone on dialed my brother's number. The phone rung three times before it went to voicemail. I tried to call him again, when I heard a very sexy masculine voice from beside me.

"Hey Lee Lee, long time no see." I quickly hung the phone up as it went to voicemail again. There was only one guy who called me by that name. The name I hated the most, but from the one guy who stole my heart away, when I first laid eyes on him when I was twelve-years-old. He was my best-friends older brother and my brothers best-friend. I slowly turned around to face the voice that I heard. The moment my eyes connected with his, my heart started to beat faster than normal.

"H-h-hi Mason." Damn what the hell was that? I haven't seen this guy in more than ten years, and the first time I see him again, I act like a little girl who just saw her crush. Damnit Alethea, you are a grown ass woman. You are twenty-five years old now, not twelve. You have double D set of boobs and an ass. Get it together women! I put my best smile on, straighten myself up, and looked him straight in the eye. I was about to say something but once I opened my mouth, nothing came out. Okay maybe I shouldn't look him in the eyes. I'm so damn useless around this guy. I thought to myself. Instead of saying anything I just bit my bottom lip. I tend to do that whenever I became nervous. I noticed as Mason dropped his eyes to where my lips were. Now I'm even more nervous. Before I could think too much about it, his eyes quickly roamed its way to my luggage as fast as it were on my lips just a second ago.

"Here let me take that for you." Mason said while reaching for my bag. He came closer to my body in order to reach my luggage. The closer he got, the more I freaked out. His face was mere inches from mine now. I couldn't help myself as I looked him up and down. Mason was wearing jeans with a black buttoned down shirt, with dressy shoes. I bit my lip again as I checked him out. I could feel my thong drenched in wetness already.

"Come on, I will show you where my car is." I snapped out of my daze as I lifted my eyes to meet his. I thought I saw something in his eyes but before I could tell what it was, he turned around to walk away.

"Wait, I thought my brother was picking me up?"

"Something came up, he called me to come pick you up. I hope that's okay."

"Um, yea its fine. T-thank you." I stammered through my words again. I started to follow him to his car while he carried my luggage. I was in my own thoughts when I bumped into a hard back. I looked up to see that Mason stopped by a two door, dark blue Nissan Altima. I backed up some to let Mason put my luggage into his trunk.

Mason slammed the trunk closed and open the doors to his car with his key. I walked over to the passenger seat and let myself in. while Mason was putting the key in the ignition, I put my seat belt on. Mason then pulled out and drove out off. I was about to say something to him when he grabbed his phone and dialed someone's number.

"Yea, am I dropping her off at your place or what?" Mason said into the phone. I am guessing he was on the phone with my brother. Go figure, my brother ignores my calls, but answers the first time Mason calls. What the hell, I should be more important, I'm family. I thought to myself. Mason sighed then before he talked into his phone again.

"Okay. No problem, see you later tonight." I didn't like the sound of that at all.

"You're stuck with me for today, since your brother isn't home right now."

"So where are we going?"

"I don't know yet."

"Not to your place?"

"Hell no! definitely not my place." I blushed as I quickly looked away. He said it like I had something he has at home that he doesn't want me to see. Maybe it was a woman. I started to get jealous at the thought of a naked woman on his bed waiting for him to come home. Get a grip Lea, even if he did have a girl at his house waiting for him, you know you wouldn't do a damn thing about it. He only see's you as Ash's little sister. He didn't like you then, and he doesn't like you now. My inner self told me. I sighed and looked out of the window.

I was once again in my own thoughts until I yawned. We have been driving for an hour, and in that hour it had become night time. I was tired, I was hungry, and my head was starting to hurt.

"Why don't you just take me to a hotel. We have been driving for an hour, I'm hungry, tired, and my head hurts. I need to lay down, like now." I didn't care if I was complaining and sounded like I had an attitude, because I did. I hate getting migraines and to top it off, my migraine pills is in my luggage.

"No, I'll just bring you to my house for right now."

"um...okay..." I said confused. Why didn't he just bring me to his place from the start. What the hell! I rest my head on my seat and closed my eyes and ended up knocking out. I don't know how long we were driving for but soon after I felt Mason nudge my arm. I opened my eyes, but had to squint. My head hurt so bad, it was hurting my eyes as well. Mason got out of the car and I followed right after. I waited for Mason to grab my luggage before we walked into his house.

We both walked in his house as he put the light switch on. I instantly squinted my eyes almost shut, as the light made my eyes hurt more.

"How long am I here till?"

"All night." If my head wasn't hurting I would have caused a scene, but my head hurts and so I didn't care. As long as I have a place to sleep, then I'm fine.

"can you show me where your bathroom is, I need a shower."

"Yea just follow me." Mason walked off towards the stairs and I followed. The bathroom was to our right. Mason placed my luggage inside and started the shower for me. He then disappeared to get me a towel. I sat on top of the toilet seat with my head in my hands, as if that would stop the headache.

Mason came back and handed me the towel, pills and water. I thanked him and waited for him to leave. As soon as he left, I closed the door and flushed the pills he gave me down the toilet. I went through my luggage to grab my migraine pills. Once I had them, I popped it into my mouth and swallowed it with water. I took off my clothes and hopped into the shower.

Fifteen minutes later, I got out of the shower and got dressed in nothing but black joggers and a black t-shirt. I toweled dried my hair. Once I was done drying my hair I folded the towel and walked out of the bathroom with my luggage. I walked downstairs carrying my heavy luggage; once my foot hit the last step I placed my luggage off to the side.

I didn't see Mason anywhere so I followed the smell of food to the kitchen. Sure enough Mason was in the kitchen over a stove.

"Um...do you have a pillow and a cover, so I can sleep on the couch." I asked while I looked at him stirring something in a pot.

"What are you talking about? You're not sleeping on the couch."

"Then where am I sleeping?"

"My room, on my bed." My eyes grew wide and I instantly shake my head in protest.

"no, no, no, that's okay; I will just take the couch. If you don't mind." I said, hoping he will just let it go. I don't know how many girls he had on his bed every night. Again I got jealous at the thought of some woman being in his bed.

"I do mind. You are not sleeping on the couch. You can take my bed for tonight. I will wake you up once dinner is ready." He said as he turned away and went to cooking.

"My head hurts really bad, so I'm actually just going to go to bed for tonight." I said. I waited in case he wanted to object, but he never did, so I turned around and walked back upstairs. I made it upstairs when I realized I didn't know where his room actually was. Shit. I walked to each door and opened each one until I found his room. When I walked into his room I was stunned. His whole room was spotless, his bed was made and not a single hair on it. I closed his door and wasted no time at all to hop in his bed. The moment I pulled the covers over me and the moment my head hit the pillow, I instantly knocked out.
