23. Stalker

For the umpteenth time, I looked back to make sure. I don't know if it's just me or if someone is following me. I glance at the watch that sits nicely on my wrist. Now, it's already ten o'clock in the evening, and the streets in our housing complex are quiet.

I just came back from the convenience store because I thought it was quite close, so I walked alone. Who would have thought that someone would follow me?

I took my cell phone and turned on the front camera, acting as if I was taking a selfie. And sure enough, though briefly, I saw the shadow of a guy behind me. He hid behind the fence of the house, not far behind.

My reflexes run as fast as possible so that I can get home quickly, or at least, I can quickly find anyone to ask for help in case the stalker has bad intentions for me.

"Hey!" exclaimed Steve, who was standing in front of the gate of my house.
