“W-WHAT are you doing here?” He glanced down at his wristwatch then looked back at me again.
He looked down at my bleach jeans and white shirt. I was also wearing the backpack I was carrying tightly.
“It’s work time. Is there an emergency at the hospital?” he asked. “Is there something wrong?” He took another step to get closer to me, so I quickly looked up at him.
“Tell me, is there a problem?” he asked again.
I swallowed before speaking. “I’m fired.” I smiled slightly because his forehead furrowed even more at what he heard.
“You’re fired?” He just laughed when he recovered and even held on to his two waists before shaking his head.
So I did the same before leaning into the wall. I laughed a little after shaking and bowing my head.
