Emery’s POV

I was far away from them, but for some reason my ears were so sharp and opened widely that I could hear every word they said.

“The villagers are scared of her being here, and the Luna isn’t an exception”

That was what drew my attention. Why are they mentioning and talking about the alpha’s sisters like she’s some regular wolf? Is there really a deep incident that occurred?.

And not to forget that I was also mentioned. I knew from the start that I wasn’t loved by anyone from Kaiser down to all except his Beta, who acts nicely around me.

“I can’t chase or banish her when she hasn’t committed anything yet, so you all should just try to avoid her!” Was all I heard him say, then he glanced at me.

The frown on my face was too vivid, and I knew he saw it. What’s their problem? Why don’t they want her around?.

I looked away and focused on my book. The pack's history is so interesting and intriguing that I’m so lost in it. Soon I felt tired after reading and reading, then I closed my eyes, accepting darkness.

My racing heart and grumbles from my stomach woke me up. I can as much say I haven’t eaten because I was dragged by him here. I wanted to ignore it, but what I heard next made me snap my eyes open.

Who’s moaning? My thoughts quickly drifted to Kaiser, and he was standing at the table in between someone’s legs, and a sharp pain hit me hard.

Lilian?..

In my very own present, don’t they at least give me a little respect. Kaiser, he’s betraying me? How dare he? How dare he have her when I’m in the office with him.

The pain was just too much that I clutched my hands around my stomach as tears left my eyes.

“I’m sorry, my Luna; I never knew you were here,” Lilian said, pushing Kaiser slowly away from her.

He turned around and stared at me, and there was no remorse in his eyes. He doesn’t feel bad, he doesn’t feel any pain, he’s a big bad monster indeed.

My tears kept falling, and he looked away from me, capturing Lilian’s lip again. The pain in my chest and stomach tightened so much that I couldn’t breathe. I turned around and ran out of the office, heading straight to my room.

I locked the doors and jumped in the bed, crying my eyes out. I just can’t keep fighting over and over when he doesn’t want me, he loathes me and hates me, yet he likes to take pleasures from me.

Why? Why did I let him touch him? Why did I let him go that far? I’m such a fool, a big-big fool.

I didn’t know when I fell asleep, but I knew when I woke up it was late at night. Furthermore, I checked the walk clock, and it stroked 11pm. I sat down, ruffling my hair and staring at nothing.

The scene from earlier began to replay itself, and in all I let out a melancholic laughter. He’s going to pay for this, he’s going to beg me for it and I won’t give in to him ever again.

I laid back again with the thoughts of crafting out something evil. Oh boy, I haven’t eaten, but I don’t feel hungry. Kaiser’s behavior is making me lose appetite, and I guess I have become thinner than before, I can feel it.

The chirping birds on my window woke me up as rays of sunlight found their way in. I yawned and stood up with a slight headache. I haven’t really done some workouts, and I wondered if they even train around here.Have never seen or heard of anyone saying it, but if they don’t, then how can they fight?.

I took my bath and changed into fitting clothes, a blue vest with black leggings, and sneakers. I packed my hair up neatly before running out of my room.

I needed permission from him before leaving the castle, but now I won’t. I won’t ask for permission from him or anyone, I will do as I wish.

I jogged my out of the castle, and nobody bothered stopping me. The morning breeze made me feel so refreshed, and I hated the fact that I didn’t have a phone. I would have played some music with my headset on, which will be so lovely, but sadly I don’t.

I had no idea of where I was going, but I knew it looked like a market. The women and men all stared at me strangely, they don’t know I am, I guess.

I stopped jogging when I felt I was going too far so I wouldn’t get lost. I decided to sit on a lug, taking a break, when some group of people headed in my direction.

At first I thought they were walking past me, but they stopped in front of me, looking all angry.

“She’s the one!” One of them said, pointing fingers at me.

“Are you sure?” Another asked.

“Yes, I’m very sure…she’s the one with the curse!” The woman nodded, glaring hard at me.

“Let’s crucify her!”

“Let’s burn her?”

“She’s needs to die!”

I listened to every word they uttered, and I was shocked. What are they talking about, and who are they referring to?

A big hand gripped my hair and yanked me forward.

“Ahh!” I yelped in pain unexpectedly.

“Let’s kill her before she kills us all, the cursed one”

The cursed one?

Who’s the cursed one?
