At first, I could not comprehend how I once again found myself waking up in the hospital. My first thought was about how much time had passed this time around. I looked around the room and for the first time no one was by my side. This worried me a great deal. Even if no one else was here, I was really worried as to why Shane was not. I wondered what happened after Ruby sped off away from the police and what detective Morris did with my family and friends.

I also seriously hoped they did not catch my cousin. If they did none of us could get to her and we all knew very well that she still had people on her side willing to work with her.
