My Perfect Abrupt Marriage

Chapter 3

Dalvin’s

I tapped my elbows, dazedly looking at the documents in front of me. I could read but I guess it was because of that woman who dared to stomp my feet. However I think about it, it’s just aggravating that I didn’t even scold her. Had I been too complacent or charmed?

I touched my throbbing forehead, unable to accept the truth that had occurred. How many days had it been— three days since I got married but my supposedly wife is nowhere to be seen?

“Sir, Luke Harriet has come.”

I smirked. “Let him inside.”

Cardyn Harriet, let’s see who you are for real. As the door opened, the worry Luke Harriet headed inside as his repetition blinking made me annoyed, so I looked away. He bowed at me.

“Y-you called for me, Sir?”

At least even if he was nervous, he was still polite with me. He was the complete entity from that Cardyn, my wife.

“That Cardyn Harriet,” I took a sigh, “Is your younger sister, right?”

Luke frowned without lifting his gaze at me. “… She is, Sir. Is there anything wrong?”

“Absolutely. Is she always the careless, daring woman?”

Alas, he looked at me in perplexity but still answered.

“Uh, well… she is always that woman. Sometimes she doesn’t care how a situation would escalate causing her to get into troubles.”

Unbelievable. I clicked my tongue in irritation. In the end, I dismissed him away with a flick of my hand, darkly staring at the suit that was on the sofa. It reminded me how she looked like underneath me – when she closes her eyes, when she stifled her noises and trembles under force. I didn’t know someone could be completely different in matter of day and night.

My assistant gave me another bow saying, “Sir, you have been invited to the masquerade party this Friday,” he gave me the invitation card, “Will you go?”

When I read the invitation card, I narrowed my eyes.

“Kurt Huonan, not his twin?”

“Yes.”

I scoffed, “That lad really has the nerve. Fine, let’s see how he hosts this party. Otherwise, terminate the contract between me and his father.”

“Yes.”

The workload for the past two days took my mind off Cardyn Harriet and how she treated me, but it was still unbelievable no matter I think about it. Since I am quite occupied, I wouldn’t go as far as search for her but after this party, I shall do my best to do my duty as his husband.

The party was magnificent in its own way. Thankfully, it was a masquerade party, or else everyone had seen the scowl on my face. There was nothing to see except those who frequent on parties, some businesswomen and men. I should have come with a partner in hand, but I don’t do such a thing, so I came alone.

And look who I found in this party.

Even if she wore a mask or wrap herself with countless clothes, I could still recognize her.

I didn’t expect to find her so soon – Cardyn Harriet.

Without further ado, I strode towards her and then momentarily halted my tracks seeing that her hand was link around Kurt Huonan’s hand. She married me but has another man in her hand, is that it?

You’re bold, Cardyn.

She was sipping wine from the servers, but I didn’t mind as I snatched her goblet and strongly pulled her over to my side.

“Who are you?”

She struggled to escape and shouted to which garnered attention of others. Considering how feisty she was, she would go as much as blaming me and having others sympathize with her. But she forgot one thing – I am a Manzo.

“G-get off me! Ah!”

I held her tightly between my arms, glaring at Kurt who snickered at me.

“Sir Manzo,” he hid his hand into one of his pockets, “She is my partner.”

I smirked, gazing down on Cardyn who was staring at me as though she was threatening me.

“I am afraid I can’t have her as your partner.”

“You’re being shockingly disrespectful, Sir Manzo.”

“And you’re being utterly shameful for coveting someone’s possession.”

I challenged him with a lift of my brow. If he says another thing, I will punch him but if he doesn’t this will end quietly without pursue.

Kurt scoffed, grasping Cardyn’s hand, pulling her to his side but I wouldn’t let him hold her any longer. Hence, I hastily slapped his hand, and stepped back.

“L-let go of me, you bastard!”

I waved my hand at Kurt, merely saying. “Know your place, Mister Huonan.”

Then I left the party with Cardyn in my arms who was struggling to elude. I was aware she wouldn’t easily come with me, but as far as I am concerned, she also need to exact her duty as my wife.

I warned her.

“If you move again, I’ll make sure to give you back to Huonan.”

She complained loudly, “He’s much better than you! Ah!” And before she could say anymore words, I placed her inside my car then sat beside her, having the driver lock the door and press the partition between the front seat and the back seat.

I leaned forward, whispering.

“In what way is he much better than me? On the bed?”

“Are you freaking insane? Let me go.” I wrapped her wrist with my tie so she wouldn’t be able to escape freely. She was still wearing mask which was impressive since she had moved a lot earlier.

Slowly, I grabbed the mask and lifted it off. Unlike a smile I wanted to see from her, she was glaring and huffing at me. Feisty, really.

I tapped her nose with my forefinger, amused by this little kitten. I had a cat before and she was exactly what that cat was for the first time I petted it – defensive and mad. Lifting my hand, I patted her head intending to placate her anger but she only tilted her head, not wanting me to touch her.

“Let me go, you bastard!”

I tugged my lips upward, “You’re mean.”

“You’d rather I act all sweet in front of you when you took advantage of me while I was drunk?”

She attacked and I flinched. I snapped, gritting my jaws and then held her chin captive into my hand. I narrowed the distance between us – one hand away from each other’s faces.

Albeit she has beautiful face, it has an ugly expression throwing at me.

“You grope my body quite proactively and you should be thankful about it. In the end,” I giggled, “We very much enjoyed what happened afterward.”

She huffed, then forcefully looked away from me.

I reclined on my seat, contented, and guaranteed that she wouldn’t be able to escape from me. I nonchalantly folded my arms.

“You better be obedient.”

“I won’t!” She then started drumming on the windowpane as if trying to break it so I grabbed her hand with a squint on my face.

I told her deviously. “It had been three days and I’m very much elated to face your mother in this formal attire.”

“What are you going to do?” She angrily frowned at me.

I smiled at her, “Introduce myself to your mother.”

“How dare you—”

I hate her mouth; it says unnecessary things, so I ended up jabbing her neck to which resulted in her to fall unconscious. With a finally relieved sigh, I had her head leaned on my shoulder, brushing away the hair that blocked her face.

She’s better if she’s asleep.

But I like her version underneath me – I inwardly chuckled in delight.

My Perfect Abrupt Marriage Chapter 15: Intentions The weather was nice and amazing. Like normal, Cardyn went to work with a grin on her face. Although she had missed Dalvin’s comforting warmth, she still slept just fine. On the contrary, Dalvin linked his hands, looking at Sofia in bewilderment. With a cold tilt of his head, he coldly asked her, “What is your purpose of coming in here?” She smiled, “I want to take you out to a meal.” She leaned her head forward, hopeful that Dalvin would take her bait. Unfortunately, Dalvin rose from his seat and showed his indifference. Sofia was upset about this but didn’t back down. “Dalvin, I merely just declined your proposal because I wasn’t ready yet. Look, now I returned to you.” “I didn’t want you to come back, as I have said.” Sofia snickered. “I called your mother who seemed dearly missing me for the past years I was gone. You got married while I was finding my intention and what I want in this life. Didn’t you get it?” Dalvin raised

Chapter 14Cardyn’s POVMy Perfect Abrupt MarriageSpeechless and caught-off guard, I stared at him with my questioning face. Unconsciously, my hands lowered on their own. Despite the fact that he was wearing a hat so as to not be noticeable by others, because of his tall height, great aura and presence, people around us can’t help but take a look at the man in front of me.Most of all, I was the one most surprised among anyone. How did he know I was here? No, first, why is he here?Without letting me ask him, he held my wrist, and then pulled me inside the car. Strangely, he was the one driving the car which only made me more confused. Was he in a hurry that he didn’t get to put on his coat and tie his necktie? I looked around at the slight mess to the back seat of the car, glancing at him before pursing my lips and putting my eyes outside as the rain wetted and made the sun shy to peek from the clouds. I closed my eyes, the feel of the rain dripping on my face was still vivid even

Chapter 13Cardyn’s POVLast night was a total mess. I fought with Daniel because of my stirred emotions. I closed my eyes and cooked my breakfast. If you are asking me where I was staying, well, at my work. Since I am the manager, I have the keys inside and fortunately, there are actually beds and three rooms inside where staff could sleep in their breaks. I used one of them to sleep last night. But I couldn’t sleep well because I was thinking about Daniel. Without considering his feelings, I hurt him. I mumbled, “I mean, is there even anything to consider when we’re not even an in-love couple? And do you know how foolish it sounds? A wealthy man like him found me amusing so he married me.” I scoffed, sipped the coffee I made earlier and flipped the egg and bacon alternately. I know I can cook a better meal for me but hell, this is my working site. I can’t simply use it JJust because I had nowhere to go last night, I had to be innovative. After finishing my breakfast, I opened the

Chapter 12Cardyn’s POV“Cardyn, are you going to see the exhibition at the Manzo Company? The news said it will go public so you don’t need an invitation.”Manzo? Isn’t that the Company of my husband? I awkwardly shook my head. I would rather not make a presence in such a big event. “I don’t want to go, my period has just begun.” I sadly looked at Linda who pouted. “Don’t worry, it will happen three days from now on. Maybe you have time on Friday.” I smiled, “I am fine. There will be other events in the future, I want to rest more than go to exhibitions. Not my forte.”“All right. I have to go out, the customers are flooding.”I nodded my head, “Sure, sure. I have to finish checking the ledger.” After exchanging smiles with each other, she left so I sighed and focused on what I was doing. Daniel never invited me to the exhibition and besides, I knew that he wouldn’t welcome me. I can’t wait to divorce him after six months, we’re really just pretending just because of duties. No,

My Perfect Abrupt MarriageChapter 11Daniel's POV"Uhm, Sir, your mother is making a scene downstairs. She said you don't let her inside your office so what she's doing is far better than nothing." I closed my eyes and sighed. I knew that she wouldn't be able to accept that I got married so soon with a different woman so readily. I have expected this much but it still doesn't feel good. I reclined deep on my chair, crossed my arms. The next second, I took off my coat and went outside with a click of my tongue. “Let’s go, I have to see the directors.” “But, Sir, your mother–” “Let her wait,” I commanded with a frown on my face. My secretary still wanted to insist but I looked away as a sign that I didn’t want to talk about it any longer. She had been bothering me after being aware of my sudden marriage. Even my grandparents are wanting to know what had happened to me that I went into such a thing without thinking too much. I sneered. Didn’t they hurry me to give them grandchildre

My Perfect Abrupt Marriage Chapter 10 Although it was not my intention to be of burden of him, he still carried me all the way to the dining room, gaining the maids giggly attitude and shyly gazing at us but cannot make a comment on it. He placed me on the chair, while I feel embarrassed. He just carried me but why do I feel so affected? “See how much you troubled me.” he stated. I sighed, “I didn’t ask you to carry me all the way here. Did I?” Daniel shook his head, motioning the head maid to serve our meals. This would be our first dinner together. Well, I don’t know any more since I feel the hungriness taking over my sanity. After the serving, we dug onto our meals. I even almost coughed up the food I took since I continuously chew down on the food had it been not for Daniel for handing me water. I caught my breath, patting my chest, “Thank you.” He shook his head, “I think what you need is a caretaker.” “No need. I was just hungry.” He laughed, “No one will take your food
