Chapter Nine

I can see everyone’s faces.  Their looks of astonishment, fear, jealousy, and anger.  The way my pack turned on me. I remember my wolf.  Zara.

My eyes shot open.  It seemed as if it all could have been a dream, but was it?  I sat up, feeling a little weak.  

“Woah, not so fast!” I heard a female voice. I looked around to see where the voice was coming from but I was alone.  

“You won’t find me out there,” the voice said laughing. 

“Who are you?”  

“I am Zara, your wolf.”  She must have felt the shock that had taken over me because she began laughing.  “I know what you’re thinking, but E
