Not About Kael

Selene found me beneath the old oak before sunset.

I had been sitting there for almost an hour, watching the last light disappear between the branches. After everything that had happened, the quiet still felt strange. There was always something waiting to be solved before. A threat. A decision. A secret.

Now, for once, there was nothing demanding an answer from me.

At least, not tonight.

Selene stopped a few steps away.

“Can I sit?”

I moved over without answering.

She lowered herself beside me,

  • My Sister’s Alpha Chose Me   The Luna Who Chose

Six months later, Mooncrest no longer looked like a place that had survived a war.It looked like a home. The broken eastern wall had been rebuilt. The training grounds had been restored. The old council chamber had been renovated, though Selene had insisted that the new alliance council meet around a smaller table.“People argue less when they aren’t sitting across a table that looks like it’s meant for kings,” she had said.Nobody had been able to disagree with her.Trade routes had reopened between the territories.Stormridge sent grain.Silverpine sent iron.Blackridge helped rebuild damaged roads.Redwater and Stonevale exchanged workers and supplies. And Black Hollow, once the pack most suspicious of the alliance, had become one of its strongest trading partners.Peace had not made every disagreement disappear. There were still arguments.

  • My Sister’s Alpha Chose Me   What We Choose

The alliance meeting began just after sunrise. This time, there were no guards lining the walls. No weapons on the tables. No one came prepared to threaten anyone else. The great hall of Mooncrest was filled with representatives from every territory that had chosen to remain together.Stormridge.Silverpine.Blackridge.Black Hollow.Redwater.Stonevale.And Mooncrest.I stood beside Kael at the front of the hall.Selene stood across from us with the alliance documents arranged neatly before her.She looked completely different from the girl who had once prepared every day to become Luna. There was still confidence in her.But it no longer came from knowing what people expected from her.It came from knowing what she wanted.Selene lifted the first document.“These are the final terms.”The room becam

  • My Sister’s Alpha Chose Me   The Crown

The sanctuary was silent when I entered. No guards followed me.No council members waited outside.Even Kael remained at the doorway.I had asked him to.This was something I needed to do alone. The Crown rested on the altar. It looked almost ordinary.A small silver crown formed from two intertwined crescents. No flames surrounded it.No ancient voice called my name.No light filled the room.It simply waited.I walked toward it slowly. For so long, I had feared this moment.I had imagined the Crown demanding something from me.A sacrifice.A promise.A throne.Perhaps even my freedom. But now that I stood before it, I realized something.I wasn’t afraid of the Crown anymore.I was afraid of becoming the kind of person who believed she needed it.I stopped in front of the a

  • My Sister’s Alpha Chose Me   Roman’s Condition

The journey to Black Hollow took most of the morning.Without an escort, the road felt different. There were no soldiers ahead of me, no banners announcing Mooncrest, and no weapons drawn in case someone decided to challenge my presence.I traveled alone. That had been Rowan’s condition. For once, I wasn’t arriving as the Moon Queen, the Alpha’s mate, or the keeper of the Crown.I was simply Liana. And somehow, that made the journey more frightening.Black Hollow sat beyond the northern ridge, surrounded by thick forest and steep hills. The trees grew close together there, their branches blocking much of the sunlight. Even before I reached the settlement, I could feel the difference. The wolves watching from the trees didn’t hide. They simply watched. No one attacked me.No one welcomed me either. When I finally reached the main entrance, two guards stepped forward. One of them looked at me carefully.“Liana Rose?”“Yes.”“You came alone.”“That was the condition.”He exchanged a glan

  • My Sister’s Alpha Chose Me   A Problem at Black Hollow

By sunrise, the council chamber was already crowded. The news that Rowan had agreed to meet with us had spread quickly, but so had the conditions attached to his invitation.Black Hollow wanted to remain independent. No alliance soldiers were to cross its borders without permission. And, most importantly, the Crown was not welcome on its land.I had expected some resistance.I hadn’t expected an argument before breakfast.“If we accept every condition Rowan gives us, what exactly is the point of having an alliance?” one of the Alphas asked.“The point is cooperation,” Selene replied.“Cooperation requires trust.”“Trust isn’t created by forcing someone to surrender their independence.”The Alpha frowned.“He’s asking us to protect his territory while refusing to stand with us.”“He hasn’t asked us to protect him,” I said. The room quieted.“He asked for a meeting.”Garrick leaned forward.“And what happens when another threat comes from Black Hollow? Do we wait for permission while th

  • My Sister’s Alpha Chose Me   If There Were No Bond

The walk to the council chamber was quiet.Kael moved beside me, his expression already shifting into that familiar Alpha calm he wore whenever something threatened the stability of the pack.I could still feel the warmth of his hand around mine. His answer from the balcony stayed in my mind.If the bond disappeared tomorrow, I would still choose you.I had asked the question because some part of me needed to know whether there was something between us beyond fate. His answer had given me more than reassurance. It had given me permission to believe that what we had built was ours. Not the Crown’s.Not the prophecy’s.Not the mate bond’s.Ours.When we entered the council chamber, the atmosphere immediately told me this wasn’t going to be a simple discussion.Ronan was already there. So were Darius, Garrick, Varek and several other representatives from the allied packs.Selene stood near the large table, reading through a report. She looked up when we entered.“What happened?”Kael too
