Chapter 13

Renea’s POV

We had just finished making a potion for stomach ulceration. It was a new formula entirely. The principal just developed it.

We are having the first clinical trial today. I looked gloomily at the set of kids that were lined up to take the potion, they reminded me of my old self.

The potion contained an appreciable amount of snake venom and I wondered if any of the kids would survive it. Only a few lucky ones would.

I couldn't watch them die. I had seen too many deaths around me already. I removed my gloves and coat, hanging them on the rack.

"It's time to get down to the palace," I announced, finding an escape.

"You stay too long in the palace. Get done with the Prince's treatment in time and return quickly. I hate the fact that you are entangled with them. Jennifer got you into this mess," Eden protested. It was the first time he would speak up since I resumed the Prince's treatment.
