Chapter 4

My step-dad

 It's been almost a week since mum introduced me to Louis, she asked me if I liked him and I said yes but I found out she was married the very day after dinner

 But it's unbelievable, How could mom get married without telling me?  I need to have a discussion with her.  She took daddy's portrait off in the living room, I found that insulting.  How could mom do this?

 It’s despicable a relationship that’s not even ten years old and she allows herself to get married.  No, I need to have a discussion with her.

 I find her in her room

 Me: are you married?

 Mom: yes and where is the problem?

 Me: without even telling me?

 Mom: Louis thought we shouldn't bother you.  You had to go to Arafat's concert everything and everything

 Me: but it does not go?

 Mom: the main thing is already done Ashley, I got married and that's it

 Me: but you must not do that, you got to know him?  You don't even know his family and

 Mom: that's enough Ashley, Louis will come and live with us.  And just behave well

 But I couldn't believe it, who does she think she is?  And this louis how he could do that?  Marry my mother without even telling me

 I say nothing and go up to my room, I call Christ

 Me: hello?

 Christ: yes little one

 Me: do you know what my mother did?

 Christ: no tell me

 Me;  she dared to get married without even telling me

 Christ: but that's great isn't it?  That's what you wanted ?

 Me: no, not like that.

 Christ: do you know who she does it with?

 Me: with a guy I met and told her to hit on mom to see if she can try a new relationship

 Christ: But that's what you wanted Ashley and this marriage is good I think.  Your mother is a smart woman if she accepted she thinks he is fine

 Me: is that what you can think of to tell me?

 Christ: to say what Ashley?  Don't worry, wait until later and we'll see what happens next

 I say nothing and I hang up, is it me I see evil everywhere or what is it?  They piss me off, I swear.

 I must leave this house to avoid seeing all this nonsense.  Fortunately, my return to school is near

 Tonight ..

 I see a truck bringing Louis' things back.  I go down to see my mother

 Me: so he's really going to live here?

 Mom: Ashley

 Me: no Ashley, when we marry a man we will live with him.  Why don't you go live with him?  This house belongs to us

 Mom: rectify my daughter, this house belongs to me

 Me: this house belongs to my father

 Mom: Is that what your father told you?  Well he lied.  This house belongs to me.  Now stop tiring us out

 And Louis looks at me with a smirk.  I hate this boy

 I went to my room and then mom called me to chat

 Me: what do you want from me?

 Mom: we need to talk to you

 Me: who are we?

 Mom: Louis and me

 Me: he's not my father

 Louis: listen Ashley, we want to talk to you it's for your good

 Me: ok talk quickly

 Mom: Louis and I thought college fees were expensive

 Me: so ..?

 Mom: we have decided that you will continue your studies here and ...

 Me: wait, what are you telling me?  I must necessarily continue my studies there

 Louis: listen Ashley, we don't have enough money for all of her charges

 Mom: It's your worst good Ashley and now you have to work to take care of yourself

 What me?  You don't have the right, the master I have to do in Europe

 Mom: if I have the right and you are of legal age.  I don't have to worry about you anymore.  You better listen to what we tell you

 Me: are you kidding?

 Mom: end of the discussion

 She gets up with her husband, but no?  It's incredible .  My mother refuses to send me to school on the pretext that she has no more money.  But it's amazing
