Why are you having Aiden heirloom?

Pack members gathered in the meeting hall, and my parents were in the front seat. I panicked inside, wondering what was going to happen now.

There was a cage in the middle of the stage with a bruised omega inside. This was nothing new; Warren always did it to show his power, demonstrating that anyone who goes against him would face the same fate.

I decided to go and sit with Collin.

"The wolves on patrol found out that the rival pack had entered our pack house," Alpha Warren said in a strict tone, and my breath caught.

"Everyone, be on high alert because this could turn into a war too," he stated further.

He was definitely talking about the sweet Dylan and hot Aiden.

"If I find out that anyone saw them but hid it from me, that wolf will face a merciless death," Warren threatened.

I wished he never found out that I had met the wolves from the rival pack. I looked around the hall, and my eyes met Bianca's, who was looking at me with hatred.

She walked towards me, and I averted my eyes from her.

"What are you freak doing here in the meeting of wolves?" she said with an arrogant face, and I rolled my eyes at her.

"I have every right to be here. I will get my wolf spirit on my 18th birthday," I said in a confident tone, even though I had no chance of getting my wolf spirit.

She gazed at my bag, and I followed her gaze, finding out that she was looking at the necklace in my bag. I tried to hide it, but before I could do it, Bianca snatched it.

"What's this?" she asked, examining it carefully.

"It's none of your damn business," I said, trying to snatch the necklace, but she ran towards her father.

She handed the necklace to her father, who approached me.

I was scared and had no idea what to do.

"Care to explain, Selena? What is this doing with you?" he asked me in a strict tone.

"I think your parents need to prepare a funeral for you," he threatened, and I gulped.

My parents came in between because I was not able to say a single word.

"Alpha Warren, it's nothing," Dad intervened.

"Yes, Alpha, it's just a normal necklace," I said with a smile.

"ARE YOU CRAZY? THIS IS NOT JUST A NECKLACE!" Alpha Warren shouted at me.

"The rose and the dagger are the Thorn family crest, and only one person is allowed to have it: Aiden," he said, looking at the necklace intently.

I didn't understand what he was talking about.

"What is Aiden's heirloom?" I asked him.

"He is the alpha of our rival pack," Warren informed me, and I looked at him with wide eyes.

"Now tell me, what were you doing with Aiden in our territory?" he folded his arms and glared at me.

Shit, I was in trouble.

"I didn't even know what you were talking about," I said, clueless.

"This is Aiden, and no doubt he had his mutt beta, Dylan, with him," Bianca said, fuming with anger.

Oh well, that's great. It meant everyone knew about Aiden except me.

Bianca took out her phone and showed me the true picture of Dylan and Aiden. Fuck, I was in trouble.

"Look carefully and tell me, did you see them trespassing?" Alpha Warren asked me.

His eyes glowed with wrath and hatred. I didn't think there was any point in lying to him, so I had to be careful.

"Yes, I saw them, but at that time, I didn't know their true identity," I said nervously, and Warren continued to glare at me.

"I only knew that they were some rivals. I ordered them to leave our territory, and they ran off, leaving behind the necklace," I said, gathering my courage.

"But I had no idea that they belonged to the pack that you hate the most," I said in my defense, and Warren was still glaring at me.

"Why didn't you inform me?" Alpha Warren asked in a strict tone.

"Because I thought they would leave after I threatened them with your name," I said, becoming conscious.

"That would have no effect on them. They must still be around my territory," Warren said angrily.

He advanced his steps towards me, but my mom came forward.

"It's our mistake. We didn't inform her about Aiden, as you told us to do," Mom said, hanging her head low.

"I'm watching all of you. Cross me, and I will hang your carcasses in my lawn," Warren threatened my family.

Bianca smirked at me, keeping the necklace in her pocket. I had a strong feeling that this was not right.

"Selena, we're going home right now," Dad said to me in anger and apologized to Alpha on my behalf.

I left the community center with them.

"Damn, you're a lucky girl. No one is allowed to take Aiden's pack, let alone meet him and live to tell about it," Collin said, shocked.

Even I was amazed that I was still alive.

"But what's the big deal? I understand that Aiden is our pack rival, but why is no one allowed to mention it?" I asked, curious.

"Aiden was a member of our pack when he turned 14. He split the pack and turned against Warren," Collin informed me, and my eyes widened.

"But why didn't I know about this?" I asked him, curious.

"Because we were just kids back then, and Aiden and Dylan are older than us. My parents told me the whole story," Collin said to me.

But why didn't my parents share any information with me?

Something was really off here, and my parents were keeping secrets from me.
