LOGINFive years ago, Isabella Primrose shattered Christopher Salvatore's heart when she disappeared without a word, leaving him to believe she'd never loved him. Now she's back as the nanny to his stubborn twins, who refuse to let anyone else care for them. "You walked away once," Christopher sneers. "Don't expect me to let you close again." Isabella meets his burning gaze. "I never stopped loving you." Living beneath the same roof reignites old desire, buried secrets, and dangerous temptation. As passion blurs the line between hatred and love, Christopher must decide whether to protect his heart or surrender to the woman who still owns it.

“How much do you need to leave my son? State your price and it’ll be transferred into your account before you leave this house, Miss Primrose.” Mrs. Lydia Salvatore spoke in her refined manner.
Mrs. Lydia Salvatore, my fiancé’s mother invited me to their house just to give me the biggest shock of my life.
The woman screamed of regal aura, someone who had strings of the rich class, the woman who was the face of Salvatore’s business. Someone no one dared to cross paths with.
And she was the mother of my fiancé.
“My time is precious, girl and you already wasted two minutes in standing like a mute statue.” She broke the silence, her tone slightly annoyed this time.
“I don’t understand what you just said, Ma’am.” I lowered my head to fight back my tears.
It was our first meeting in person after Christopher proposed me on the last day of our college.
“I hate to repeated my words but it involves my only son’s future so I am saying it again.” She lifted her champaign flute and sipped the wine leisurely, “Cancel the engagement, tell Chris that you don’t love him and you are not interested in marrying him.”
Her words were measured, coldly straightforward. It was clear that she defines relationships and sentiments by social and financial status of a person.
And I was absolutely a misfit for her son, the future heir of her empire.
“Ma’am, what are you saying? I and Chris are engaged now.” I somehow mustered up my withering confidence and asked her.
Lydia Salvatore threw me a disdainful look. She crossed her legs and leaned back on the sofa with a venomous look on her face.
“You heard me right, Miss Primrose. I want you to leave my son. I am dealing with you nicely but if you don’t cooperate, I am sure you won’t like my other ways.” Her face reflected a villainous look.
“Ma’am, I don’t understand you?” I asked her with teary eyes.
“Christopher is going to take over the position of the CEO of my company very soon and you are nothing but a distraction that he doesn’t need at this point of his life. A girl like you isn’t worth my son. So, find someone of your status. Do not wish for something you can never have.” She looked down at me in a derogatory manner.
Tears welled up in my eyes. She humiliated me because I didn’t have money as much as they do but I love Christopher unconditionally. Why could she not see my love for her son?
“I can’t leave him.” I said wiping my tears and her face hardened.
“Yes, you will and if you don’t break up with my son, I am going to destroy your family. I heard your brother is preparing for the university’s scholarship programme.” She smirked.
My heart shook. She looked deadly.
“If I want, he can never get an admission in any good university in the country and your father may lose his job at the gas station as well. Do you want me to use my power or you’ll use your brain and leave my son for everyone’s good?” She threatened me and my body shivered with fear.
“Ma’am, I and Chris love each other for years. Is my social status more important than your own son’s happiness?”
Her face darkened. No one dared to talk back at the noble lady.
She threw me a disgusted glance.
“Love? Wake up, stupid girl. He doesn’t love you. I thought he’d tell you soon but I can do the honour.” She said with a smirk and rose from her seat, walking up to me, she leaned close to me.
“My son will marry the girl I choose for him. He can’t disobey his mother. So, wake up from your dream and face the reality. The sooner you realise, the sooner you’ll get over this.” She said and I felt like someone stabbed my heart brutally.
“Oh, you have a problem to accept facts easily then let me show you something.” She added and with a vicious smirk, she placed something in my hand.
I stood there numb when she showed me the invitation cards of their engagement. It was true. Neither Christopher nor Celeste, his sister and my best friend ever told me about this.
“I can get your brother an admission in any top university if you want, Isabella. Make a good choice. That’s all I can do for you in exchange of leaving my son. You may take your leave now and make sure that my children don’t get a whiff of our conversation.” She said in a dismissive tone.
I left their house, losing everything, my dreams, my love. I lost faith in my love. Mrs. Salvatore showed me that money can buy anything. Love and human emotions have no value in the eyes of people like Salvatores.
My phone buzzed when I was walking aimlessly on the road. There were several missed calls from Celeste which I didn’t pick up but this time it was Christopher. My eyes again teared up seeing his number. I picked it because I badly wanted to hear his voice.
“Hello.” I said in a low voice.
“Belle, where are you and why aren’t you answering my calls? Do you have any idea how much I am worried for you?” Christopher’s panicked voice mixed with anger rang from other side.
I gulped my tears as I recalled his mother’s words.
“I am fine, Chris. Sorry, my phone was on silent mode.” I lied.
“You sound low. Are you crying?” He asked.
“No, I am just feeling cold.” I again lied.
“Where are you right now? I am coming to meet you.” Saying this, he hung up the call and I texted him my location. The thought of betraying our love, killed me from inside.
“No, Chris, I am coming to your place.” I said and hang up. He couldn’t find about my meeting with his mother. I didn’t want to be the reason of clash between them. He respects his mother a lot.
“Belle, do you have any idea how much I was worried for you when you ignored my calls and texts? Where have you been?” A worried Christpher embraced me as soon as I stepped into his dormitory.
I melted into his arms and squeezed my eyes tightly to stop myself from crying.
“I am sorry, I was busy in the party’s preparations. We want to make this evening unforgettable for you and your classmates.” I said giving him a smile to hide my pain.
He smiled and cupped my face. Rubbing our noses, he whispered, “I understand but I couldn’t help but miss you, Belle.” He said.
My heart fluttered hearing his sweet words. I don’t believe that he was only toying with my feelings.
“Why are you so quiet, Belle?” He looked into my eyes.
There were only pure love and concern in their depth.
How could I ever be able to move on?
“It’s nothing. Now, allow me to go. Celeste and others have been calling me continuously. You know how impatient is your sister. I’ll see you in the party.” I made an excuse to leave as quickly as possible because my resolution would break if I stay with him.
I turned to pick my bag but he caught my wrist and pulled me on his chest.
“I won’t allow you to leave so soon. You just got here.” He nuzzled his nose under my ear, “I need you, Belle. Don’t make me wait for you more.” He whispered into my ear huskily and my legs turned into jelly.
His hands roamed from my waist to my thighs and finally crawled under my skirt. I arched my back. I was playing with fire, it was a dangerous game and it’ll only leave me ruined because I was fallen hard in love.
“Please, let me go.” I whispered in a low voice as he dropped feathery kisses down my throat.
“Shhh…let me make love to you first, Belle.” He placed his finger on my lips and in a swift move, he ripped off my panties.
His large palm cupped my most intimate part. He knew how to make me surrender. My body is the slave of his touches.
In a blink of a moment, he got rid of his clothes and slammed his hardness inside me without giving me a chance to breathe. I forgot everything in that moment, my meeting with his mother, her cruel warning and my decision that was hanging on a loose cord.
He was riding us on the pleasure, his hardness slamming deeper and faster inside me.
“Oh..please…Chris..stopher. I can’t hold..any longer.” I moaned as he fucked me hard. My orgasm was nearing. His lips ravaged my bare body as our body rocked with his powerful thrusts. If those were our last moments together, I wished to live them for memories I’ll tressure forever.
Once he was finished, he hugged me tightly resting his head on my shoulder.
“You’re only mine, Belle and I won’t let you go forever.” He whispered before silence filled the air.
My eyes teared up, I was about to break his heart. I might not be able to forgive myself for hurting this man but I couldn’t be selfish.
If I’d choose my happiness then my own family would suffer.
[ Isabella ]“Mom, I missed you. Why don’t you come to meet me?”Iris, my daughter with those sad eyes asked. My heart twisted. I felt the squeezing pain. I wish I could tell her how messed up my life was and I wanted to keep her away from seeing the hardships I had been facing.“I am sorry, Iris. I miss you too. I miss you a lot but you know Mom needs a job first so we can live together. Please, give Mom some more time.” I cupped her face and made her another promise. She lifted her tiny hand and wiped my tears, “I understand, Mom. Don’t worry. I will wait. I want to live with you.” She rested her head against my chest and I hugged my daughter tightly.I couldn’t blame anyone but myself for Iris’s sadness. She deserved a better life, a happier childhood. When I found out I was pregnant, I decided to keep the baby. I wanted the last piece of Christopher with me.She looked like his small replica with same eyes and hairs. She was my little secret and I had to protect her from those who
[ Isabella ]I left early from Christopher’s house. The twins had their school. I promised to see Ariel during weekends. Surprisingly, this time, she agreed and didn’t cry or tried to stop me.Christopher was sitting in the living room, reading newspaper. I couldn’t help but stole a glance at his charismatic figure. the way his hand moved to pick his coffee cup and his jaws ticked. He looked more handsome in his late twenties.Things would be different if I had the courage to fight for my love.“Ms. Primrose, the cab you called is here.” A maid came to inform me.I tore my gaze from Christopher as embarrassment washed over me. He didn’t look up like I was only an invisible ghost to him.“Thanks, I’ll take my leave now.” I said with a small smile and hurried towards the main door when his deep, cold voice forced me to halt in my tracks.“There’s no need to come again. Ariel looks fine now. I’ll hire the best nanny who has professional experience. I can’t let some undereducated and unpr
[ Isabella ]My heart thumped against my ribcage as I walked through the iron gates of the house which I left earlier with humiliation and another heartbreak. Christopher was ahead of me, his deep footsteps killing the grave silence of his living room.I clasped my sweaty palms. My shirt clung to my skin after soaking in the rain. He didn’t even offer me an umbrella. Few words, laced in iciness and I found myself obeying him when I should have chosen my pride.I followed his trail not having the courage to ask him why he went to my apartment and commanded me to come along with him. He led us to the first floor and clicked open a door with caution so it’d not make any noisePurple coloured walls and toys arranged beautifully in the room answered my questions. It was his twins’ room. Their photos were hung on the wall and there were two small beds in the centre of the room.“Princess…” Christopher spoke with such tenderness that for a moment, my heart skipped a beat and when he stepped
[ Isabella ]The pain I supressed for years, resurfaced with such a force that for a few moments, I couldn’t speak or blink my eyes.Christopher was standing right in front of me.The warmth in those eyes was gone. All I could see was sheer coldness, no emotions, not even hatred that could help me to guess what he felt about me.“Celeste!”Suddenly, he roared and it made me flinch in fear. His jaws were clenched tightly.“Chris, for God’s sake. Don’t shout or you will give me a heart attack.” She came outside pressing a hand on her chest but when she saw me, she understood her brother’s outburst.“Oh, Bella. Please, come. I was waiting for you.” She passed me a nervous smile.“I don’t need a nanny for my kids. Please, tell this lady to leave.” Christoher said in a flat tone and his aloofness hurt me.It sliced my heart but he had all the right to feel that way.“Chris, what are you saying? You know if twins approve someone it means they like that person and feel safe around them. Plea
