“It’s official, I hate myself.” I blurted as we sauntered into Mayor Hemsworth mansion.

“Stop,” Skye eyed me. “You’re gonna have fun, okay. Besides, who knows you could meet the man of your dreams tonight.”

“Oh please,” I rolled my eyes as we sauntered into the glamorous ballroom. It wasn’t the interior designs and the chairs and tables that were the only things that reeked of class. There were several dignitaries, celebrities I could note. Most of them dressed in black tuxes and dashing evening gowns just like Skye and I. I was wearing a green evening gown coupled with some long hand gloves and silver pairs of stilettos while Skye slayed with black instead. She quickly introduced me to her parents and a few people which truthfully, I found tiring.
