Stepping her feet on the floor of Brighton high school, she knew something was wrong, as she made her way to the principal office where she met Nora and two boys with their parent or guardian whichever they were, she was yet to find out, one of the boys was injured and could barely keep a good posture while sitting, as tho his waist and back were cracked, she sat down on the seat close to her daughter, without altering a word the principal began.
"Good afternoon Mrs Langson, I didn't know I would be calling you this early to such an incident on the first day of your daughter's resumption," he said looking at Nora.
Her face was emotionless while she stared at her shoes,
"I am sorry principal, but I am lost here," replied Mrs Langson
"What I am saying, in essence, is that Nora here beat up Baxter to this state this morning in the hallway while trying to defend her friend here," he said pointing to Darey,
"It was not her fault, it's mine, she was only looking out for me, Baxter here bullied me," Darey said.
"I just want my son fixed back to the way he was before he left the house this morning, or else I'm suing her for assault,"
yelled a woman who was later identified as Baxter's mum, she looked well trimmed with good features, thought Nora as she looked in her direction.
"Your son bullied my son and you are talking about suing them, what kind of a mother are you, you have a bully for a son and you are not thankful that someone had to put him in his place, a duty you have refused to perform and here you are talking about suing," yelled another woman on Darey's side who was Darey's mother.
"I am sorry Darey for bullying you and taunting you, Baxter apologized to the amazement of everyone including the principal,
Baxter would never apologise not even to his parents, so what had changed they thought,
"There won't be any need to sue anyone, we owe you both an apology, Darey and Nora accept our sincere apologies, '' said a man who was Baxter's Dad.
" I guess it's all settled now, can we go?" Asked Mrs Langson,
"Not yet, Nora, do you have anything to say?" The principal asked,
She didn't say a word, she just kept staring at her feet,
"Em, Mrs Langson in as much as Baxter was wrong, we would have loved she reported to the right authorities not beating up her senior, see that you talk to her and put her in order, to avoid such a scene from happening next time." The principal said,
"You may all go." Said the principal.
They made their way out, as Darey's parents Mr and Mrs Jones stopped and turned towards Nora, and her mother,
"We are so grateful, thank you to your daughter for standing up for our son, I don't know what exactly you did to him but you got him real good," said Darey's Dad, smiling at Nora,
" Sure, it's nothing, kindly stay out of trouble," replied Mrs Langson to Darey, as they both turned and left the hallway to exit the school.
Nora won't say a word to anyone, as she followed her mum out of the school to the train station. They boarded the train without saying a word to each other.
"I didn't know how I did that to him, he taunted Darey because he felt he could bully him, I just couldn't stop myself from helping him," Nora said at last while they had relaxed on their seats.
"It is not your fault," her mum replied,
"Still, how was I able to do that? I felt a surge of power, like a force, I can't explain, it drove me. I was not in control of myself, Nora explained,
"I understand dear, let us get home so you can rest, it's been a long day," her mother said in a soothing voice.
She leaned her head on her mum's shoulder and slept off.

"We need your little elf, we need you, Aubrey, come home,"
said a woman in front of a burning castle, filled with cries and people, screaming in pain, the women were scampering around looking for their children while they were slaughtered, the men couldn't hold the fighters off, they were slaughtered.
A dark knight rode from the hills with his sword drawn to slay the woman at the front of the castle with a crown on her head, her face bruised, her hands outstretched before her while blood poured from it, the Knight with a sweep of his sword, across her neck brought her head to the ground, with a loud thud the body dropped.
"Nooooooooooo!" Yelled Nora with deep pain in her voice, there was a loud earthquake, the ground shook, just then the dark Knight turned and saw her with the speed he spurned his horse around and galloped towards her direction, with his sword in his hands, his eyes filled with hate and anger.
"Nora! Nora!! Nora!!!" Shouted Mrs Langson, as she shook her, she had been dreaming again but this time her scream had shattered the mirror in her room. She stirred up, shaking and sweating profusely even when the weather had dropped that evening, she sat up looking around as though she were searching for something.
"What is happening to me mum?" Asked Nora, sitting up on her bed,
"Come here," mum replied, taking her in for a hug, as she started sobbing,
"The dark knight killed her in front of the castle, she asked for my help, she called me little elf, and addressed me by Aubrey," said Nora as she was trying to explain her dream to her mum,
"It's not just a dream mum, I was there, I screamed and there was an earthquake the dark knight is coming for me," she said in between sobs,
"What am I, and who is Aubrey? Why do I keep having these visions? Who am I? " Nora asked,
"You are my daughter dear, you are strong and they are just dreams, you need to stop thinking about it, it's just a dream," replied her mum,
"No! Mum, it's not just a dream, and I'm not mad either, I know what I am saying, she called me little elf and the knight I do see around, it's not just dejavu it's real ma, I am different and I think you do know about it but won't tell me," yelled Nora as she stood up from the bed looking at her mum,
"If you want to tell me, I will find out for myself," she concluded and walked out of the room.
She just watched as she left the room, then she stood up and left to her room.

There was a young lady of about 22 years old, of about 5'7 feet tall, her long brown hair dropping on her shoulders, with blue eyes a necromancer, she was standing by the window waiting for Mrs Langson to come in. It was undeniable who she was and how she knew they were there, there must be trouble, thought Mrs Langson.
"She's quite a stubborn little elf,"
She said walking towards Mrs Langson as she entered the room,
"Cayla of Dathomir," Mrs Langson said, smiling at her, her beautiful face as fair as ever radiated in the room, she could feel her powers coursing through her veins, she had trained her when she was born before she was taken to Dathomir to be groomed by the Dayan, she had not set her eyes on her daughter ever since then.
She crossed the room and hugged her, with teary eyes,
"Mum," Cayla breathed amidst tears
"What brings you here Cayla?" Asked Mrs Langson,
"I asked about you and Sautor told me, what happened, I couldn't get to you, you were cloaked so no one could trace you," replied Cayla,
"How did you find me?" Asked Mrs Langson, as she led her to the bed where they sat down,
"The walls have fallen, the great city of Petra has fallen, we were defeated, this time it has turned to ruins, no captives were taken," said Cayla,
"The Queen?" Asked Mrs Langson,
"Dead, Sautor fled with Queen Claudia and Prince Logan," Replied Cayla,
"They sent you?" Asked Mrs Langson
"Sautor received your message, he sent me to you, the spell is down and the Nivthoks know about her, it's time for her to come home, she's not safe here, Neither are you," said Cayla
"She's not ready," her mum replied,
"She will never be ready, Mrs Langson! " said Cayla raising her voice and looking at her mother straight in the eyes,
"I remember when they came to whisk me away to Dathomir, you said sometimes life happens and we just have to adjust and prepare for it, so what's the difference?" Asked Cayla
"This is different, she needs to understand there's another world in another dimension and this is the future," replied Gwen
"I will assume the knight she has been seeing, you've seen him too, that's her destiny, if she doesn't correct the past, the future can never be complete, she's our only saviour, she only can save the continent and unite the elves and humans and bring balance to the continent." Said, Cayla
"Tell Sautor to give me some time, she will be home soon," replied Gwen,
" I've run out of time, the portal is closing. I need to go, just remember, she was seen at the fall of Petra, she witnessed it, she should know who she is and Mrs Langson it is time you come home and become my mother again, Gwen." Cayla concluded and entered a whirlwind that closed immediately after she entered.
Gary looked from man to woman, then to Alstin. He must be joking, he thought to himself, which parents, how? When?. "He said you are feeling much better now," said the woman, as she walked into the room where he was. "Yes, I am," he replied, still waiting for more explanation from Alstin. "Dad, Mum, meet my friend and brother Gary," said Alstin gesturing to his parents, ignoring Gary's sign to explain. "We have heard a lot about you, and we would like to thank you for saving our son and standing by him," said the man. "It's no big deal, sir," replied Gary. "We would leave you two now, we need to settle some major issues," said the man as he turned to leave the room. "Will join you soon Dad," said Alstin, "Take your time, you have a lot to catch up with," said the woman, she patted his shoulder and left with her husband. Gary looked at Alstin with keen eyes, indicating to start talking. "I know you want me to explain, but still," said Alstin, going to sit close to Gary."But
"Alstin," called out Gary. His voice was so weak that you would barely hear him, he had been in a coma for five days now. "Hey buddy, you are alive," said Alstin."Are those tears I see?" Asked Gary, trying to put up a smile on his face. "Come on," said Alstin, as he blinked to stop the tears from dropping, still they rolled down his cheeks. He hugged his friend, sobbing on his chest."I thought you were gone, it has been lonely here without you, brother," said Alstin amidst tears. "I am here now, not going any time soon, brother," said Gary. "I missed you," he said. "I couldn't feel anything then, and I still can't feel anything now, but I did miss you, brother," Gary replied. "So brother, huh?" Asked Alstin, "Yea, brothers," replied Gary, he nudged him. Austin helped him sit up, and that was when he noticed his environment. It was a big room, fully furnished with a velvet rug, the walls were painted and some carvings were on the walls. The bed was so comfortable, the shee
"Ancestors of our land, according to your teaching and rules, we have brought these offenders before you, they are being charged with treason, may their souls be scorched from entering the ancestral land and may they be caged in between worlds forever, never to return to any forever." Said Cayla in a loud voice. She had her hands raised as she faced the four pillars at the execution ground, which according to their tradition was the gateway to offenders' souls. The ladies were still chanting, they stood five at each pillar facing each other. "Tie them to the pillars, let the consecration begin," said Cayla. They tied Mira and her accomplice to the pillars as they were surrounded by the crowd.Mira screamed out in great pain and anguish, as it dawned on her that she would be stuck in-between worlds."This is my fate, and I accept it," whispered her accomplice with great difficulty, as exhaustion had warned him. "If you are not comfortable with the sight, you can turn around," said
The courtroom was thrown into confusion at the break of the news. Cayla allowed them, they had every reason to be scared, who had not heard of the Dark Knight and his triumph in war, she was shaken by the news. After some minutes, she stood up and waved her hand in an attempt to stop the murmuring, the courtroom went silent. "We are here to pass judgement on these two," she said looking in the direction of a man and a woman bound by chains in their hands and legs, with a guard each to their side."As we all know, Mira of the house of Gazene has not only brought shame to her family but also this great city as she has been charged with treason against this land," she said in a loud voice filled with authority. "As the great leader of this city, according to our rules I sentence Mira and her accomplice from Nivithikos to death by the scorching of the frengard," she continued. The two of them looked at each other, they didn't look terrified, they didn't know what was coming. "You ca
The dawn of the day meant nothing to him again, ever since he joined them on their search for himself, he no longer counts the day, he had lost track of time and maybe faith. He stretched himself and yawned, rubbing his eyes to adjust them to the rays of sunlight flooding into them. What does today hold, he thought to himself? His friend lay beside him, still snoring, he looked around as his eyes were now accustomed to the light, every other person was up. "Hey," he said as he tapped his friend on the leg to wake up."What?" Slurred Gary in his sleep, "Wake up, lazy ass," replied Alstin, shaking him till he could no longer stand it, he hit his legs so hard, his palm stung. "What the hell! I am up now," yelled Gary, as he opened his eyes. "Ouch," he squinted as the rays of sunlight flooded into his eyes."Come on, we need to catch up with them," said Alstin."Why do we need to go with them, if they have left us then it is a good thing, we can find our way," said Gary, in a bid to g
The horse whined loudly out of pain and refused to move, as it had an injury in the leg where it fell down on the hills. The man who mounted the horse came down after a lot of struggle with the horse. At least I am close, he thought to himself. He looked around frantically, but no one was following him. He ran and walked hurriedly through the streets of Nivithikos, his eyes dashing from side to side. The city has become the most powerful kingdom all over the land, due to their wins in battles and the land they have conquered, they remain undefeated. The city stood tall above a hill, looked small on the outside but so big on the inside, that was where the dark knight resides. The streets were rid of beggars and clean, guard positions at strategic places, the people moved around their normal business, and they had no reason to be scared. The man walked and got to the end of the street, took a turn to the left and there he stood in front of a mighty castle, walls made of marbles, ir
