“Hello Jared,” Astra said into the phone as Jared picked up his phone.“Hey Astra, how are you doing?” He asked. He sincerely sounded surprised. It was then that Astra realized how odd it would be. She had never called him before, he was always the one calling her. It would clearly be weird to her.“I am good, thank you,” she said. For a moment, she was short of words. She had no idea what she was going to say to him. Many things crossed her mind, but her greatest fear was the fact that he may realize that she was playing him in a way.“Is anything the matter? Is Nicholas bothering you again? I thought you left his house,” Jared asked and Astra closed her eyes in frustration. She forgot that Jared called her when she was still in Nicholas house. Astra shrieked as she came into contact with at all man.“Calm down, miss,” the man said, it already felt like her heart leapt to her throat, and she was shaking. "Hey, Astra. Are you free to go out for lunch?" Jared asked. Astra raised up her head and looked at him. She was working on Nicholas' case after she managed to gather herself. She was quite disoriented after the call. Astra dug into her meal of turkey and potatoes. It melted in her mouth and she smiled as she ate it. It was very delicious. Steph had always been a very good cook unlike Astra.
