Maxine's Point of View

After we ate dinner, we bid good-byes to his cousins. My heart races insanely when his cousins' cars are gone. Now, we're the only ones here. I'm alone with Alyn. I'm with the man I love that suddenly became my husband. What should I do? I'm still ashamed of what I did in the pool earlier. I don't know if I should talk to him, considering his temper, he might be mad at me now.

"Are you not going inside yet? You might freeze here," he uttered.

I turned to him. I stared at his nice-looking face and I don't know how long I did that. I just suddenly realized that I was staring at him for too long when he waved his hand in front of my face.

"Are you okay?" He asked. When I bowed my head to avoid his gaze, he tilted his head so that he could see my face. He even held my shoulders so I couldn't move away. "Maxine, is there something wrong? Why won't you talk to me?"
