Chapter 3

Some days later, I went out to look for a job but all of them are saying no vacancies.

On my way back home, I went to the supermarket to get some foodstuffs to make cook and also cook for Stacy before she comes back from work.

"Hi Angel" Stacy greets me "Hi dear, how's work today?" I said while putting the food on the table for us to eat. 

"Good and stressful," she said 

After we finish eating, we sit down in the living room to watch movies.

"OMG, Angel I can't believe I forget, there was a guy that came to our store today and said his boss needs a maid and he wants someone he can trust," She said looking at me "But I don't know maybe you will do it.

"Why not? I will do it as long as I get a job to pay my bills.

She gave the guy's number then I text him immediately and he sent the address to me.

The next day, I take a cab to the address given to me, when I get there, a security guy stops me and I told him the person I am looking for.

"Laura isn't it?" The guy holds out his hand for a handshake and I respond. 

"Yes, Mr........ " I said trying to get his name because I forget his name. 

"My name is Paul and I am a driver to Mr. Moreno I mean your boss if you pass his test because sometimes." He moves closer to me and whispered in my ear "He is a pain in the ass" he said smiling.

He leads inside the mansion, the surrounding is very nice and breathtaking after we enter the house I saw two ladies working inside. I look around stylishly because this house is so beautiful and nice, I am sure the man is a billionaire because all of the things inside this place scream money. 

Paul knocked on a door that I assume to be a home office, we went inside after we heard 'come in'. 

"Good morning sir, this is the lady I talked to you about," Paul said and the person he is talking to did not even look up from his laptop.

"Ok, you can go" Rude much not even bother to reply his good morning. 

"Ok sir" Paul left and I remain standing in front of him.

"What is your name?" He asked me looking up from his laptop. He looks scary because there is no trace of a smile on his face.

“My name is Laura” I reply but he did not even offer me a seat.

“Ok, I have rules and regulations that you must follow and fail to abide by it, you are fired and for your information, I don’t give a second chance.

“Ok sir”

“You will be my personal maid, you will be the one to clean my bedroom and here in my home office. I don’t want to see any dust at all” I nodded my head

“Whenever I am talking to you, you reply me with words not acting as if you are deaf and dumb” He is really a pain in the ass.

“Yes sir” I reply to him, I hope I last longer here because of his stupid attitude.

He continues explaining all that I have to do like making his food and coffee. He said he wants his coffee first thing in the morning and he will be the one to tell me what to cook for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

“If you don’t know how to cook any of the food I will tell you to do, you will ask Mary to teach you and I hope you are a fast learner,” He said

“Ok sir” I said to him.

“The most important thing I need to tell you is that don’t think you can seduce me or think I will have any attraction toward you” I chuckle lightly because of what he said.

“Ok sir” I said and bowed lightly “Who will fall in love with a jerk like you?” I said to myself.

“You said anything?” He asked me.

“No sir”

He told me to start working tomorrow and also said I should go out and ask who is called Mary and she would explain some things to me.

I walk out of his office and ask one of the ladies working that I am looking for Mary but to my surprise, she is a woman probably in her fifties.

“I am so sorry ma’am, I think the person I am looking for is a young girl of my age” I apologize to the woman.

“No problem my dear you can call me Mary,” I said no because she is old enough to be my mother.

She explained everything to me and she is such a lovely woman.

Working for Mr. Moreno is like working for a devil, he is such a rude and arrogant jerk. He always has a reason to complain or insult me.

"Sir, your dinner is ready," I told him

"Ok," He said not looking up from his laptop.

Some minutes later he came to the dining room and started eating.

"So?" He said looking at me.

"Did you want anything else?" I said

"Get out" I quickly walk as fast as I can, he doesn't like having anybody around, and if he needs anything he will call me.

I wonder if he has any family because since the day I started working here I have not seen any relatives or friends with him or even come to visit him.

I sit down in the garden waiting for him to call me to clear the dining table.

"My dear, why don't you seat inside till he finishes? It is a little bit cold here" Mary asked sitting beside me.

"I am so tired, if I go inside I am very sure that I will sleep and you remember what happened the last time," I said to her and she smiles.

"Sorry for the last time," She said

"I wonder if he will ever have a friend or wife if he reacting this way every time. So rude" I said the last part silently.

"I know he is rude but believe me, Luca is such a nice person and he has a good heart. He started reacting this way because of what happened to him some years ago." She said looking sad

"What happened to him?" I asked out of curiosity. Immediately asked, I heard my phone ringing and it is my boss meaning he has finished.

I quickly made my way to the dining table to clear the dishes, when I get there he is not there. I wash all the dishes he used, clean the kitchen and went to my room.
