Chapter 4

Author: Little Orange
The atmosphere in the car suddenly turned awkward.

Gabriel was about to say something when the driver stopped the car. "Mr. Fulton, we've arrived at the restaurant."

As the group entered the private room, Gabriel was worried Andrea might get cold sitting under the air conditioner, so he switched her seat, poured her hot tea, and even warmed her hands. He indeed seemed like the perfect husband until the restaurant manager suddenly walked in respectfully with a gift.

The manager pushed the door open and stood respectfully in front of Gabriel, Hannah, and Anthony.

"Mr. Fulton, Mrs. Fulton, and Mr. Anthony, this is your 99th visit to our restaurant. You celebrated your wedding anniversary here last year today. This year, we've prepared an anniversary gift and a celebration cake to wish your family a happy life for years to come." The manager then handed the gift over, but no one took it, and a deadly sense of silence filled the room.

While the manager was puzzled, Andrea suddenly burst out laughing. It was this laugh that brought Gabriel back to his senses.

He furiously pushed the manager's gift away, pointed at Andrea, and said coldly, "What nonsense are you spouting? She's just my secretary. This one is my wife. And what do you mean by 99th visit? Is your memory faulty? This is the first time my family has come to this restaurant!"

The restaurant manager looked back and forth between Andrea and Hannah in disbelief. "But I..."

"Enough! Get out!" Gabriel's expression was filled with warning and impatience this time.

The manager came to his senses and quickly apologized. "I'm sorry. It was my mistake.”

After the manager left, Gabriel immediately grabbed Andrea's hand, his eyes full of panic. "Andrea, don't overthink it. It's really my first time at this restaurant." He then looked toward Anthony.

"Yeah, Mom." Anthony also sat beside Andrea and nervously clung to her arm. "It's really the first time Dad has brought me here. If I’m lying, my pants will start burning!"

Hannah watched Gabriel and Anthony anxiously try to appease Andrea, and jealousy flickered in her eyes. She dug her nails into her palm, but soon let go.

Hannah forced a smile. "Yeah, Mrs. Fulton. Please don't let the manager's statement drive a wedge between you and Mr. Fulton. This is a high-end restaurant. How could I have come here with him?"

Looking at the trio before her, Andrea's gaze was full of sarcasm.

When they had just entered the restaurant, a waiter promptly greeted them and led them to their usual private room, and served their usual dishes without them saying anything. No one would believe it was their first time here after everything that had happened.

However, Andrea did not expose them. She only said flatly, "Got it. Let's eat first."

She did not want to dwell on it, but she realized there was not a single dish on the table she could eat when she stretched out her cutlery. Everything was spicy, which she could not handle. However, it happened to be Hannah's favorite.

Seeing that Andrea had not eaten anything, Gabriel quickly looked at her before following her gaze to the dishes on the table. His face turned pale instantly. Perhaps he finally remembered her preferences—he raised his hand to call the waiter over to change the dishes.

"It's not necessary." Andrea shook her head.

The meal eventually ended hastily, and the group got into the extended Rolls Royce. On the way home, Gabriel and Anthony sat beside her, constantly cheering her up and making her smile—perhaps noticing her bad mood.

Even Hannah could not help but feel envious, and her tone had a subtle hint of jealousy.

"Mr. Fulton, your family has such a good relationship. Mrs. Fulton, I admire you. If only I had such a wonderful husband and son."

Andrea looked up at her with a fake smile. "Don't worry. You'll have the same someday." After all, Andrea had already decided to give Gabriel and Anthony to Hannah.

As soon as Andrea finished speaking, a dazzling high beam suddenly shone in her direction. Andrea instinctively raised her hand to cover her eyes. She was about to ask what had happened when she heard the screeching of brakes.

The next moment, an out-of-control truck from the opposite side slammed into them!

Bang!

"Hannah, watch out!" Gabriel shouted.

"Ms. Jennings, watch out!" Anthony yelled.

While everything happened in the blink of an eye, Andrea watched Gabriel and Anthony leap past her and tightly shield Hannah in their arms.

She let out a deep sigh. "Anthony, you're no longer my child after the first time you begged your dad to take you to Hannah. As I told you last time, all you have to do now is realize your mistake, correct it, grow up, and forget about everything that's related to me."Anthony wiped away his tears and reached out for a hug. "I'm sorry. Mom, can you hold me one last time?"Andrea looked at him and did not hold out her hands. "It's too late for you to be sorry, Anthony."Hearing this, Anthony's eyes reddened, yet he still wanted to fight for it. "Please, Mom. Hold me...""Mom," Ellie said.At some point, Quinton walked over with Ellie in his arms.Ellie added, "Mom, he looks so pitiful. Don't you want to hold him?"Andrea touched her head and answered with a smile, "If everyone who commits a mistake and hurts you ends up crying and asking you to forgive them, would you forgive them?"Ellie pondered for a moment before shaking her head. "No.""That's right. Gabriel and Anthony, l

Perhaps Andrea's speech at the hospital worked. Gabriel and Anthony never looked for her again. Andrea did not have time to bother with them either. She was more concerned about her wedding with Quinton. She put all her heart into the once-in-a-lifetime wedding.Famous wedding designers from Paris were invited to Jenson Residence to make her dress. From the style of the dress to the fabric of the dress, a dozen designers spent the afternoon with her before deciding on a general style.Watching her yawn, Quinton rubbed her waist. "Sleepy already?"Andrea smiled. "A little."Although the wedding preparation was very tiring, she was visibly happy. After all, she was with two people who loved her the whole time.On Sunday, the couple went to a jewelry store with Ellie to have their wedding rings customized and get Ellie a custom-made bracelet as a wedding present.Because of the rare good weather, the trio did not drive, but walked to the street. The crying sounds came out of the door. Gabriel, who was outside, subconsciously rushed in, but almost bumped into Andrea who just came out.Andrea looked at him. "Let's talk. Have the nurse accompany him first."In the lounge at the end of the hallway, Andrea looked at the man in front of her and felt emotional. "Gabriel, why did you have an affair?"On the day she learned that Gabriel had an affair, she did a lot of thinking. She wondered if it was her, the outside world, or him, but she could not figure out why he wanted to cheat. If he was tired of her and stopped loving her, he could tell her. Why did he go behind her back to Hannah? She did not understand, nor could she figure it out.His expression stiffened. He had wondered about the first thing she would say, but he did not expect her to ask this question. How should he explain? He had forgotten why he cheated over time. However, he knew full well that it was he who caused their marriage to break up and his son to go astr

"Anthony, I remember I taught you to be polite and honest, but how many lies have you told me to see Hannah?"All because Hannah gave you snacks and toys that I didn't allow you to have, you protected her during the car accident and lied to me to see her." Andrea had thought that she was not angry, but she was still a little angry when she saw him again. She struggled to give birth to him and had hopes for him. That was why she named him Anthony—which meant priceless one. She remembered that she had never taught him to lie, but he lied to her repeatedly under Gabriel's influence.Andrea added, "I gave you the chance. When you first went to Hannah with your father behind my back, I asked you where you went, and I repeatedly confirmed with you whether you were really going to the place you said instead of Hannah's villa, but what did you answer?"When Gabriel cheated on her, she comforted herself that at least she still had Anthony. Therefore, she poured all of her love onto her son,

After all, she carried Anthony in her womb for ten months, and she knew that he had taken a liking to Hannah behind her back partly due to her shortcomings. If she had discovered it in time and guided him, they would not have gotten into this situation. However, Gabriel was the problem. If he had not taken Anthony to Hannah because Hannah said she loved children and could take care of children because she had early childhood education certification, Anthony would not have abandoned her to protect Hannah.Quinton sat next to her and hugged Ellie. "Andrea, it's not your fault."Andrea had told him these things when they arrived in the mission world—including information about her ten years of marriage and Anthony.Even though her body in this world had long been burned, her soul was engraved with her past.
