Chapter 3

Author: Little Orange
Gabriel and Anthony never came home that night.

When Andrea opened the bedroom door the next morning, all she saw was an empty living room.

Her phone suddenly vibrated, and she turned it on to see Gabriel's message.

Gabriel: [Darling, I have a meeting at the office, so I left first. I also dropped Anthony off at kindergarten. Don't forget to eat the breakfast on the table.]

Andrea did not expose his clumsy acting. She replied to him with an "Okay" and headed out. She had no time to indulge in their acting anymore as she had her own things to take care of. Andrea took a taxi to the crematorium and made an appointment for cremation.

The staff registered her information on the computer while asking her who the deceased was.

Andrea said lightly, "Myself."

The staff, who was typing, froze and looked at Andrea with pity, thinking, 'She's so young. What a pity. Does she have a terminal illness?'

Andrea ignored the look of pity and added, "Please send someone to Repulse Bay's Villa No. 9 on October 22nd to collect my body for cremation."

The staff looked at her in shock, wondering how she knew the precise date of her death. "What should we do with the ashes afterward? Should we call and inform your family or..."

Andrea shook her head. "No need. I'll pay extra. Once you're done with the cremation, scatter my ashes."

Her soul would be extracted after leaving this world, leaving her physical body to die. However, she wanted to disappear, leaving Gabriel and Anthony no way to mourn her.

After settling the payment, Andrea walked out with her phone in hand. She immediately noticed three familiar figures not far away.

Gabriel held Hannah in his arms, gently comforting her. Anthony also attentively used a handkerchief to wipe Hannah's tears. The three of them looked so harmonious together that they looked like a happy family.

If only Andrea had not spoken up... "What are you doing?"

As soon as Gabriel and Anthony saw Andrea, they panicked.

One immediately let go of Hannah, who was in his arms, and the other stood upright, just like his father. They instantly created a distance between themselves and her.

Andrea walked over and looked at Gabriel. "Shouldn't you be at work?"

After saying that, she lowered her gaze to her son aside. "And aren't you supposed to be at kindergarten?"

Gabriel hurried to her, his voice tinged with panic. "Andrea, don't misunderstand. While I was on the way to drop Anthony off at kindergarten, I saw her crying uncontrollably by the roadside. I asked her what was wrong and found out she had just lost a close family member. She didn't know what to do, so I brought her to the crematorium. I was only comforting her just now."

Hearing this, Anthony also walked over, tugging at the hem of her clothes. He pitifully explained, "Yeah, Mom! Dad sent Ms. Jennings here because he felt sorry for her. Don't be mad, okay?"

Hannah stopped crying and timidly glanced at Andrea. She bit her lip as she apologized, "Mrs. Fulton, it's my fault for interfering with Mr. Fulton's work and Mr. Anthony's studies. My close family member has passed away, and I'm in deep pain. They were just comforting me. Don't be upset."

There was nothing wrong with her remark, but just as Hannah finished speaking, a crematorium staff member walked up to her, holding a small urn. "Ms. Jennings, your pet dog's ashes are ready."

Andrea took a glance and asked, "Is this the 'close family member' you mentioned?"

Hannah's fingers tightened around the urn as she took it. The sorrow on her face froze. She opened her mouth to explain, but Gabriel spoke first. "Andrea, this dog has accompanied Ms. Jennings for over ten years. They were practically family."

Andrea looked meaningfully at him, but said nothing.

After burying the ashes in a grave, the four of them got into a car and headed to a restaurant. Halfway through the drive, Gabriel looked at Andrea as if he had just remembered something. "Andrea, why were you suddenly at the crematorium today?"

Andrea sarcastically smiled to herself as she pondered, 'You only thought of asking after such a long time.'

She glanced at Hannah sitting in the front and replied calmly, "My friend's dog also died. She could not stop crying, so I had to come on her behalf."

Anthony knew he was upset, but he remembered what Andrea had said before. He quickly wiped away his tears again. He was about to start first grade and had to stop crying. The moment the bride and groom embraced and kissed, the system reappeared. "Congratulations on completing the mission. Do you want to leave the mission world immediately?"Andrea smiled as she looked at Quinton. They smiled at each other and nodded at the same time. She let out a deep sigh. "Anthony, you're no longer my child after the first time you begged your dad to take you to Hannah. As I told you last time, all you have to do now is realize your mistake, correct it, grow up, and forget about everything that's related to me."Anthony wiped away his tears and reached out for a hug. "I'm sorry. Mom, can you hold me one last time?"Andrea looked at him and did not hold out her hands. "It's too late for you to be sorry, Anthony."Hearing this, Anthony's eyes reddened, yet he still wanted to fight for it. "Please, Mom. Hold me...""Mom," Ellie said.At some point, Quinton walked over with Ellie in his arms.Ellie added, "Mom, he looks so pitiful. Don't you want to hold him?"Andrea touched her head and answered with a smile, "If everyone who commits a mistake and hurts you ends up crying and asking you to forgive them, would you forgive them?"Ellie pondered for a moment before shaking her head. "No.""That's right. Gabriel and Anthony, l

Perhaps Andrea's speech at the hospital worked. Gabriel and Anthony never looked for her again. Andrea did not have time to bother with them either. She was more concerned about her wedding with Quinton. She put all her heart into the once-in-a-lifetime wedding.Famous wedding designers from Paris were invited to Jenson Residence to make her dress. From the style of the dress to the fabric of the dress, a dozen designers spent the afternoon with her before deciding on a general style.Watching her yawn, Quinton rubbed her waist. "Sleepy already?"Andrea smiled. "A little."Although the wedding preparation was very tiring, she was visibly happy. After all, she was with two people who loved her the whole time.On Sunday, the couple went to a jewelry store with Ellie to have their wedding rings customized and get Ellie a custom-made bracelet as a wedding present.Because of the rare good weather, the trio did not drive, but walked to the street. They were laughing and chatting, but

The crying sounds came out of the door. Gabriel, who was outside, subconsciously rushed in, but almost bumped into Andrea who just came out.Andrea looked at him. "Let's talk. Have the nurse accompany him first."In the lounge at the end of the hallway, Andrea looked at the man in front of her and felt emotional. "Gabriel, why did you have an affair?"On the day she learned that Gabriel had an affair, she did a lot of thinking. She wondered if it was her, the outside world, or him, but she could not figure out why he wanted to cheat. If he was tired of her and stopped loving her, he could tell her. Why did he go behind her back to Hannah? She did not understand, nor could she figure it out.His expression stiffened. He had wondered about the first thing she would say, but he did not expect her to ask this question. How should he explain? He had forgotten why he cheated over time. However, he knew full well that it was he who caused their marriage to break up and his son to go astr

"Anthony, I remember I taught you to be polite and honest, but how many lies have you told me to see Hannah?"All because Hannah gave you snacks and toys that I didn't allow you to have, you protected her during the car accident and lied to me to see her." Andrea had thought that she was not angry, but she was still a little angry when she saw him again. She struggled to give birth to him and had hopes for him. That was why she named him Anthony—which meant priceless one. She remembered that she had never taught him to lie, but he lied to her repeatedly under Gabriel's influence.Andrea added, "I gave you the chance. When you first went to Hannah with your father behind my back, I asked you where you went, and I repeatedly confirmed with you whether you were really going to the place you said instead of Hannah's villa, but what did you answer?"When Gabriel cheated on her, she comforted herself that at least she still had Anthony. Therefore, she poured all of her love onto her son,

After all, she carried Anthony in her womb for ten months, and she knew that he had taken a liking to Hannah behind her back partly due to her shortcomings. If she had discovered it in time and guided him, they would not have gotten into this situation. However, Gabriel was the problem. If he had not taken Anthony to Hannah because Hannah said she loved children and could take care of children because she had early childhood education certification, Anthony would not have abandoned her to protect Hannah.Quinton sat next to her and hugged Ellie. "Andrea, it's not your fault."Andrea had told him these things when they arrived in the mission world—including information about her ten years of marriage and Anthony.Even though her body in this world had long been burned, her soul was engraved with her past. She could not forget it.Quinton told Andrea, "You have to know one thing. You were so weak. Even if it was a difficult labor, you insisted on giving birth to him. That's enough t
