I was stressed out by the time I got home. I had spent the morning trying to get everything sorted with my damn car. What Lauren did was that ridiculous. It was hilarious. Jake had offered to come with me, but I told him to stay at home because I don’t think he needs any more stress on him, especially since he will get his things from the house today. I knew he was dreading it, and I can’t blame him. I would be too, but he needs his things.

“Hey, my love,” I said, going to sit down next to him on the sofa.

“How did it go?” He asked, resting his hand on my knee.

“Crap, that is me $600 down,” I sighed.

My car guy was good. It probably should have cost more, but I was a loyal customer, and he gave me a slight discount.
