MIA'S POV

"You look the same, brother," Victor was sizing Davon. He looked young in the picture but relatively older in person.

His gray hair was visible up close, and his hairline receded slightly, causing his forehead to look a little pronounced. The wrinkles on his face marked as he smiled and squinted.

"When did you get freed? You were cursed, right? How did you…."

"Mia," Davon held my hand and introduced me to Victor as his mate. He invited us to his office and ordered his secretary to bring some drinks for us.

Victor couldn't take his eyes off me and often called me Laura, which I countlessly corrected.

"My God, you look exactly like her, like she is alive with us. Except for the hair color. Laura got red hair while yours is brown."

"That was my reaction. I thought she was Laura. It feels like she was resurrected, but she's not. She's my Mia," Davon kissed my hand. I felt awkward and glanced at Victor.
