(Vivian’s POV)

I sat silently in the back seat of Willem’s black car, my hands clenched tightly on my lap, and my fingernails digging into the skin of my palms.

My breathing was heavy, as if I were holding back an ocean threatening to spill from my chest. Nervous, afraid, angry, but also strong—all the emotions clashed inside me like a storm.

Today was the court day. The day I had to face Adrian directly—the man I once loved with all my heart, but who had now left nothing but scars that would never heal.

“Vivian,” Willem’s calm voice reached me from the driver’s seat.

He glanced at me briefly, his eyes filled with sympathy and determination.

“You’re not alone. You know I’ll be there, from start to finish. We’re going to win this.”

I nodded slowly, trying to take a deep breath.

“Thank you, Willem… If it weren’t for you, I might’ve given up from the beginning.”

The car stopped in front of the courthouse. Reporters and cameras had already gathered outside, like a flock of vultures smelli

(Vivian’s POV)The second glass hit me harder than I expected. The third? That one tipped me over.I was officially drunk. The music was loud, the lights were dizzying, and everything felt like it was spinning just slightly off-centre—but in a strangely beautiful way. My heart was no longer heavy. My mind was no longer replaying Adrian’s words. And for the first time in weeks, I didn’t feel like a shattered version of myself.I was... free.“Vivian, slow down,” Summer warned, her voice barely cutting through the beat of the music. “That’s your fourth drink.”

(Vivian’s POV)“Are you really okay?” Willem asked, clearly worried. “You’re not lying about Adrian, right? He didn’t do anything bad to you?”The moment I got back into Willem’s car, I couldn’t hide my emotions. I cried silently, and Willem comforted me with a gentle pat on my back.He waited patiently until I finished crying. He handled the situation so well that I felt guilty for being dramatic in front of him.He handed me another tissue, yet again. And this would be the last tear I shed for Adrian.I nodded. “Yes. He didn’t do anything. And even if he did, I wouldn’t stay silent anymore,” I assured him.All the filthy words he said had hurt me more than his betrayal, but I didn’t want to let that affect me again.“Are you sure?”“Yes. We just talked. I might have gone crazy for crying again over a bastard like him.” I looked at Willem. “But I’m okay now.”“Good. You deserve better, Vivian.”“Willem, thank you for everything.”“My pleasure, Vivian. Well then, should I take you hom

(Vivian’s POV)"I don’t understand."Kai’s voice sounded flat, slightly confused, his brows furrowed as his eyes fixed on the tiny lipstick I was clutching tightly in my hand. His hands were still on the wheel, but his body was slightly turned toward me, looking at me as if I were speaking a foreign language. He looked like he was trying to remember something about the lipstick. I sensed something must have happened, but whatever it was—screw it—I didn’t care.I was just so disappointed with my own feelings for him."Trying to remember something?" I asked, my tone dripping with sarcasm.I bit my lip, holding my breath before I finally said softly, “I found this… between the door of your car.”Kai looked at the lipstick again, as if he had only just noticed it. His jaw tightened. But there was no surprise on his face—just a faint trace of discomfort.I recognized that expression. He was trying to hold back his emotions or, more accurately, trying not to show me anything.“Do you rememb

(Vivian’s POV)He scoffed when I opened the door and told him to leave, especially when I said, “See you in court.”But I didn’t care. Not anymore.I no longer had any affection for him.My love was gone. Completely. And I didn’t want it back—not for a man like him.“Bastard,” Adrian hissed, his jaw clenched, his eyes wild and burning with rage. His breathing was erratic, as if he had just suppressed an explosion of anger. He then stood and walked out of my office, but not before pausing for a few seconds to look at me.“You know, you're the cheapest woman I've ever met,” he spat.Unfortunately for him, those words didn’t sting at all.Because I knew I wasn’t what he claimed. I knew exactly who I was.“Well, you're free to say whatever you want.”“Ck! You’re not even as innocent as I used to know.”Behind his tall figure, Martha stood frozen. Her eyes widened as she saw me standing there like a statue.“Go, Adrian. Face the truth.”“You played with me, Vivian!”I sighed and crossed my

(Vivian’s POV)“Ah!”His body pounded into me, uncaring of how cramped the car was. I could even feel the car rocking from the movement. It was wild—too wild—but also too good. I wouldn't lie—I enjoyed having sex with him.Damn it!Despite the limited space, I spread my legs, giving him access to keep moving on top of me.It felt like heaven—something so difficult to put into words. His manhood… it felt so big, hard, and demanding. He pushed deeper inside me, and we truly lost ourselves in the moment.

  • Owned By My Best Friend's Uncle   CHAPTER 44 - I WANT YOU

(Vivian’s POV)“Are we there yet?” I glanced at Kai, who was driving with one hand. His eyes remained focused on the road, but his expression was calm… too calm.Kai only glanced at me briefly before turning back to the road.“Why? Can’t wait, huh?”“I’m just curious,” I pouted and crossed my arms over my chest. “You didn’t tell me where we’re going. This is kidnapping, you know.”Kai chuckled softly. Honestly, he was too cool to chuckle, given his calm but still slightly cold demeanor.“If this is a kidnapping, you look pretty willing.”Because I actually wouldn’t mind being kidnapped by someone like you, Kai...“Well, anyway, where are we going? I’m serious.”I put on a serious face after saying that in my heart. Yes, my feelings for him were something only I needed to know.He didn’t answer right away. The car continued down a road that was growing quieter, leaving the city lights behind. The night breeze drifted in through the cracked window, carrying a faint scent of the sea.“So

  • Owned By My Best Friend's Uncle   CHAPTER 43 - TWISTED WAY

(Vivian’s POV)My heart was still racing.Kai’s hand gripped mine tightly, leading me down the hallway, away from Adrian, away from his venomous words that still echoed in my ears like a curse.“You think she’ll stay with you, Kai?! She’ll crawl back like she always does! That’s what sluts do!”I clenched my jaw. My steps faltered for a second, but Kai didn’t stop walking. He kept going—calm, firm, unwavering.I lowered my head, biting my inner cheek. My eyes burned, but I refused to cry.Not anymore.Once we turned a corner and reached a quieter area, Kai finally stopped. He turned to face me, his expression unreadable.“You okay?” he asked again, his voice much softer now.I looked up at him, struggling to keep my face neutral. “Yeah. I’m fine.”He didn’t buy it.“Vivian,” he said, his hand lifting to gently tuck a strand of hair behind my ear. “You’re trembling.”I exhaled shakily and looked away. “It’s just… anger. He makes my blood boil.”But the truth was, it wasn’t just anger.
