"You look better," Perseus added, grabbing my empty plate and placing it in the sink. I hadn't realized how hungry I was until I smelt the amazing food Gideon had made. It was hard not to miss the prince when he made food that tasted so delectable.

I nodded, worrying my lower lip, knowing Perseus would be too absorbed by himself to really pick up on my sudden change as I continued my act.

"I feel better. Whatever you did to heal me after Winston's attack helped. Thank you for that and this deal. I know I can't ever trust you and am nowhere close to forgiving you for the club, but thanks for helping me because we both know you didn't have to." Something crossed his steel blue gaze, almost like guilt, but it couldn't be. Not Perseus. I had known him for decades and knew he wasn't one to be anything but pretentious.
