I told Mia about Levi's text and we drove to Levi's office. The traffic was on my side. It was light and we got to the office in record time. As soon as I pulled in front of the building, I looked into the rearview mirror, schooling my expression into the expected one of fury. Mia waited in the car. I marched past the smiling doorman, completely ignoring his greetings. The other staff scurried out of the way when I directed my scowl at them.

"Where is he? Levi," I demanded of the receptionist.

"He's upstairs," she said, wide eyed with surprise. "Up in the conference room."

Without another word, I went upstairs, already muttering angrily to myself long before I spotted Levi. He stood with his back to the wall, sulkily regarding people who passed by him.

"There you are, you piece of shit!" I screeched as loudly as I could.

I pointed an accusing finger at him as I marched towards him.

As I had hoped, every eye in the corridor became fixed on me. Levi gaped at me, his expressio
