Chapter 23

Danielle's POV

"What do you mean three heartbeats?" I asked again ignoring the explanation my brain was giving me.

"Let me confirm it. Lay flat."

I adjusted. My eyes met Gabe's but I looked away before it becomes too late. She put some liquid substance on my stomach and used their medical stuff to rub it. Now I wished I had paid attention to the science we did in school but I am a business student.

"Look," Dr. Sandra said to me and I looked at the monitor. I strained my eyes like it would make me see better. "What's that."

The doc smiled at me. "You are carrying three babies Danielle. Extraordinary. This should be celebrated. This is the first one here, and here's another one and the third one. That's why your stomach is getting bigger in such a short period. You have about four months till you give birth."

She turned to me. Sam was dead happy but? I wasn't sure if I should be happy or sad. Three kids at the same time. How would I dictate to them that I do not know their father?
