13: Clearing Their Emotions

WEEKS later…

Dione woke up early in the morning, it’s the first day of class. She went to the kitchen to cook breakfast, but when she got there, her mother had just finished cooking.

“Good morning, mom. I should’ve just cooked for our breakfast,” Dione said. Her mother smiled at her and got a plate to put on what she had cooked. Dione smiled when she saw the only sunny side up, and the rest were scrambled eggs. Dione prefers the sunny side up, particularly, she likes the yolk of the egg.

She helped her mom prepare the breakfast dishes at their dining table. And Dione’s two siblings arrived just in time. They’re going to school too.

“Take your seats,” Dione’s mother said to her siblings. After a while, Baron and Jax arrived at the same time. They are sweaty.

“Where are you two been, Uncle Baron?” Dione asked, curious. She sat at the opposite of her two siblings
