3: Weird Reactions

DIONE awoke to her siblings arguing on her bed as if she were not sleeping. She covered her face with a pillow because she was still drowsy, but her siblings were really trying to be patient with her. They made her a pillow punching bag; they slapped the pillows they’re carrying. So she had no choice but to get up.

“Hey! Can’t you see? The person is still asleep,” she said angrily to her siblings.

“It’s okay, sis. You are not a person, anyway, you’re Pennywise,” replied by her mischievous brother, Danny. Dione’s two eyebrows met at what she heard, and she immediately took a pillow and slapped it on her brother as he got off the bed.

“Pennywise! Monster!” her brother continues to tease her. He just stop when she acts as if she’s going to throw a pillow at him, he ran outside so quick.

“That brat,” Dione muttered, completely awake.

“Sis, mom said that we’re going to have breakfast now. That’s why she let us woke you up,” said by her younger sister, Dia. Fortunately this one is very kind, she is just really included in Danny’s antics plans sometimes. Just like yesterday when they made her face like a drawing book, it’s a good thing they didn’t use a permanent pen to make a mess on her face.

“All right, go ahead, baby. Big sister will just get dressed,” she replied to her younger sister. She carried the kid out of the room and laid her outside the door. She immediately ran to the living room.

She closed the door and faced the whole body length mirror in her room. Her forehead frowned when she saw that she was still wearing the shirt she was wearing yesterday. And she just remembered that she fell asleep when she lay down on the bed to relax.

Her eyes widened as she remembered Jax. She looked at the boxes near the door, and when she saw five of them, she was a little embarrassed. Jax actually found her asleep last night. But moving on, she immediately got dressed and looked in the mirror again.

She’s wearing a white shirt with a print of full moon and a werewolf below it, and a loosely fitting shorts with a relaxed baggy fit. She just let her wavy waist length hair fall. After, she immediately went to the dining room.

When she came there, all of them are all seated in the black-colored chair. In front is a rustic table that goes along with the large rustic medium tone wood floor and brown floor. On the side are clear windows, the high curtains are being put to the side to let the sunlight in. They can see the trees outside because of it.

“Dione, come and sit already,” said her mother, who was sitting next to Baron. There were six seats, and only one was unoccupied. And it’s next to Jax, who was just quietly eating. She had no choice but to sit next to him.

Pancakes topped with a maple syrup, Toasted English muffin, French Toasts and coffee and milk on their sides, are served on the table.

“How is your sleep, Dione?” Baron asked her in the middle of the meal. She took a piece of pancake and put it on her plate before answering.

“It’s okay,” she replied, and ate a chunk of her pancake.

“About your school, the first day is also close. You can now enroll. If you want, I will let Jax come with you. He also studies in there so he can help you. He already knows what to do to get you accepted right away,” said Baron. Dione looked at Jax sitting next to her, who was still eating quietly. He’s just wearing a simple shirt, but it did not diminish how good his looks are.

“Can you go with her, Jax?” asked Dione’s mother, Dianne. Dione was about to speak when Jax preceded her.

“Sure, Ma’am Dianne,” Jax replied politely. Embarrassed, Dione didn’t speak to say that it was just okay for her to go alone.

AFTER their breakfast, Dione immediately took a shower for them to go to her university. She’s currently at a 3rd year of college, taking up Bachelor of Science in Anthrozoology.

She went to her mother in the living room, a laptop is in front of her. “Mom, I’m leaving. Is Jax out yet?” she asked to her mom.

“Yes, he’s already outside, waiting for you. Be careful on your way, okay? Be kind to Jax,” said her mother. Dione rolled her eyes that made her mom laugh. She approached her mom and hugged her and kissed her on both cheeks.

She immediately left the house. She even saw her two siblings at the side of the door, playing.

“You two, don’t go anywhere, huh? You, Danny, you are the older brother, so keep a close eye on Dia,” she told her brother.

As she descended the stairs, she saw Jax sitting on a large log on the side of the pathway. He immediately stood up when he saw her, and again she was worried when she saw him held his chest again.

When she approached him, she touched his arm to ask if he was okay and if he was feeling something. But Dione also immediately withdrew her hand when she felt something strange when she touched the man’s arm.

“Are you okay?” but she was still able to ask, even though she had weirded herself out. Jax nodded at her.

“Let’s go,” was all he could say, and he opened the car door for her before entering the other side. Such a simple gesture, but enough for Dione to appreciate it.
